We added on a 200 sq foot master closet room and originally went to G & A to look at carpeting for the new closet. Not only did Brandon spend a lot of time with us on the carpet (which was a small job), he inquired if there was anything else they could assist with. We quickly learned that G & A does not just specialize in flooring, they provide a wide variety of services. In addition to carpeting, we needed painting, stone for countertops and expanded our project to replacing the tile in our laundry room (a long want on my wish list). I got 5 bids for painting and when combining all the above services, Brandon came in with the most competitive pricing. We went with G & A and are so happy that we did. I never felt like he was trying to upsell us and we felt their prices were very fair. In fact, Brandon offered us options with the stone that were more economical than other brands. Brandon was with us every step of the way! When the tile I picked out for the laundry room was discontinued, he found one very similar which I ended up liking better anyways. When they started the laundry room project, while removing the old baseboards, there was an issue with some of the drywall. Brandon quickly stepped in and had one of his guys perform drywall repair right away so as to not stall the project. They removed and reinstalled the washer/dryer as well. They also updated the 20 year old baseboards to match the rest of the house. All of G & A's laborers that worked in our home were courteous, knowledgeable, and professional. Brandon kept us advised every step of the way. I STRONGLY recommend G & A for any home improvement needs you may have and don't forget, they do way more than flooring! I was shown around by a very nice man (Cesar) and found the perfect tile for our shower. He let me borrow the sample for the weekend which was incredibly helpful. I showed the sample to my wife and she loved it as well. On Monday I went in and purchased the amount of tile my installer recommended. On my excitement of buying I did not read and was not told that all sales are final. After finishing up our shower which by the way came out perfect, I called and asked if I could return one full box for a refund. No was the answer and I was out $75.00 and have a box and half of tiles that will never be used. My suggestion is be very certain of measurements because once you sign the invoice you have cross the road of literally no return. My shower looks fantastic I could not picked a better tile and my installer (FRG Tile Installation) did an excellent job, just be wary of the no return policy so your not overpaying with no option of a refund.

What I didnt love is that the last day the two guys who started the job didn't finish (a third new guy finished) and although he did a decent job finishing the stairs, a few stairs creak and the walls were left with much larger holes to be repaired. That's another annoyance albeit it may be normal regardless of who you get your floors done with - they left the stair walls with holes and needing repair and painting. So we have yet to complete the job in that regard. They did disclose that would be the case but after you drop thousands of dollars it would be nice to feel like a complete job was performed.

They thoroughly ground the concrete, opened and repaired all the cracks, filled them properly, then re-ground everything to create a smooth, level surface before applying the coating. The entire project was completed in less than a day, and I couldn't be more satisfied with the results. I've seen many do-it-yourself garage floor coatings over the years, (as an Real estate broker and Realtor for 27 years) and unfortunately many of them begin peeling soon after applied because the concrete wasn't properly prepared. The quality of the surface preparation is what makes the difference, and this company clearly understands that with quality material. They also completed a patio at one of my listings in Laguna Woods. They applied a finish with just enough texture to provide excellent slip resistance while still looking attractive and easy to maintain. When I remarked on it, suddenly they were able to reduce the price by $1,500. That was still almost 1,500 more than what they quoted me in the store. So I said thanks but no thanks and went looking elsewhere. The first thing I saw when I walked into Sterling carpet was that exact same brand. The quote I got at the store was roughly the same as the quote given to me by the first store, but after they came out and measured it was actually the price I got! So I paid about half what the first store tried to wrangle out of me. The installers took their time and did a stellar job. Not a nick or a flaw or any noticeable imperfection. This carpet will last a lifetime and beyond cuz I'm kind of old now. If I ever need carpet again I will only have to stop by one place.

On May 16, 2025, I returned the extra product. At first, Ricky said returns were difficult and mentioned a 30% restocking fee. I then contacted the warehouse where the product came from, and they gave me a receipt confirming a 15% restocking fee. I sent Ricky the proof, and since then, I've reached out multiple times -- politely and patiently -- but he's ignored my messages and still hasn't refunded the credit he owes me. It's disappointing to be treated this way over a few hundred dollars, especially after being a loyal and trusting customer. I paid him upfront without hesitation, but unfortunately, he hasn't shown the same honesty in return.

Our house is 30 years old, like many houses in the area. We wanted to remodel all three of our bathrooms, and I didn't know where to start. I didn't want to hire a designer, so I started off by researching products at Home Depot, Floor & Decor, and the tile stores on College Blvd in Anaheim. After many trips, I was uninspired and still didn't know where to start. There are so many decisions to be made, so many colors, sizes, and considerations about which products will work well together. After seeing many different products (maybe too many) at those stores, I still hadn't come up with any satisfactory designs for my bathrooms. I then thought of Regina's store, where I had bought glass backsplash tiles for our kitchen a while ago. I went to see Regina, and Regina guided me through the whole design process step by step. She gave me exactly the right support to structure my decision-making and helped me come up with designs I loved. With her help, I didn't feel confused or overwhelmed anymore. I followed her advice and got the project moving forward. Now, all three of our bathrooms use products from Regina's store, all of which she helped me select. The tiles are a little more expensive than what you can get from Home Depot and Floor & Decor, but Regina has much better selections and much better quality products! Her prices are also very competitive compared with the other designer tile stores for the exact same products (I checked). Also, during the renovation process, there were times where I needed a couple extra pieces here and there. With one phone call, Regina would order and send the products to our house. Now that the whole project is finally done, everyone is very happy with how everything turned out. We have different color schemes for each bathroom, and the tiles for each bathroom fit so well. Working with Mike has been a very frustrating and disappointing experience. I hired him to work on my home, including the installing LVP flooring and removal/reinstallation of baseboards, with a quoted timeline of two weeks (completion by late November). Unfortunately, what followed was a series of delays, poor communication, and unfinished work that has left my home in an unacceptable condition. The flooring installation was a complete disaster. Before starting the project, I offered Mike the manufacturer's installation instructions, as they provided clear guidelines to ensure a proper job. Mike refused to read them, insisting he knew what he was doing. As a result, he had to redo the space twice, causing unnecessary delays and even damaging some of the flooring in the process. The final result was still unacceptable--the planks are noticeably uneven, with one side being lower than the other, and there are visible gaps throughout. Mike assured me that T-moulding pieces were only necessary for transitions between different flooring materials, yet the gaps suggest otherwise. It's clear he either didn't know what he was doing or simply didn't care. Additionally, Mike charged me to remove and reinstall the baseboards, but the state he left them in is unacceptable. There are visible nail holes, poorly patched areas, and overall sloppy craftsmanship, as shown in the photos attached to this review. It is clear he did not take the time or care to complete this aspect of the job properly. I even paid him an advance in good faith during the holidays, thinking I was helping him out and trusting he'd deliver quality work. That trust was completely misplaced. He promised to come back on 12/16, then pushed it to 12/30, only to ghost me entirely. Calls and texts went unanswered, and he had the audacity to block my number today. A quick look at his other Yelp reviews reveals a pattern--ghosting clients and refusing to take responsibility when he fails to finish the job Mike left my home unfinished, unsafe, and in shambles. The experience has been nothing short of infuriating. If you value your time, money, and sanity, stay far away from this contractor. His lack of professionalism and care is beyond unacceptable. read more

Everything was done cleanly and neatly, and the space was left in great condition. I really appreciated his professionalism and efficiency. Would definitely recommend. The wall was damaged by an electrician who installed one single pendant light but left 7 holes. I was very stressed out and upset when I got quotes from repair businesses until I met him. This left missing and damaged tiles that required replacement. I was fortunate to find Certified Unique Tile. Chris came out to assess the situation and provide a proper quote. He explained the process of providing a sturdy and waterproof foundation. The original tile (Carrara Marble) was manufactured as 11x8.6 size was no longer made so he needed to cut down each tile from 12x12. He was able to perform all the work in one day and my wife and I could not be happier with the results. The tile and grout come out perfect. I recommend Chris for any tile (big or small) work. When I got home and saw the work I was not happy. I called and texted the owner and sent pictures of the sloppy work. Did not hear back that day or the following day either after calling and texting AGAIN. Finally emailed him that evening after 24 hours of no response. He reaches out and asked I send photos (which I already sent the day of the repairs). He called me the next morning, but maybe that's because I threatened to report this horrible job to the BBB. He didn't even apologize or elect to discuss the repairs or my concerns just scheduled a time to fix the poor job. To my surprise he sends the SAME handyman to come back out. Same handyman came back out and was defensive about his poor work and overall this made it a very uncomfortable situation. He fixed his sloppy work which was better. Sure. Was it amazing, not really but way better than his first job. Did the owner ever follow up after that? Nope! Does it seem like he cares, not at all. Honestly a good business owner would address the concerns in a timely manner and maybe even come out himself to fix the sloppy job but I guess he's too busy turning and burning jobs. Overall, If you want quality service and RESPONSIVENESS I would not recommend this company.
