Welly's has a large menu and most are mediocre others are excellent. They have out door seating, decent staff, good portions. They just get your order wrong 3 of 5 times. One reason I am hesitant to go back. It's a decent local place but hardly a destination restaurant. I wish they scored better on the take out food. I have ordered take out from Welly's a few times in the last few weeks. I've gotten consistently good food every time. I first ordered the Chicken Carbonara. It was excellent and a large portion. Next time, we ordered two pizzas one cheese and one Margherita. They do their Margherita pizza different from other places but in a good way, by adding pepperoni. The next time I ordered I got the same Carbonara because I was now craving it. Great start for a new restaurant. I'm still not willing to dine in though... anywhere. read more

Have been a Marlboro Welly's fan for years. Decided to give their new Hudson location a try. Booked reservation, sat outside. Everyone super friendly. Our waitress Lorena was great considering being so busy, hot out and waitstaff have to be going up and down stairs to restaurant. Excellent compliance to safety protocols. well we had been to their marlboro and liked it so we figured we would try this one too.....we liked it!! this has been open since the start of the pandemic so hope it has been doing well, got to eat in our little plastic cube sitting at the bar, service was pleasant, food was very good ( french dip and chicken parm), drinks good and as ordered, servings (parm) very generous....we liked it!! liked the appearance and the partitions separating tables in the main dining room. read more

I came here for lunch on a Thursday and was very impressed overall. The space is clean with dark wood floors and good Covid-related seating. The hostess was very nice and the server was pleasant. I liked the 80's music being piped in as well. The chili was very good, not too thick with some liquid for dunking the tortilla chips. They forgot the blue cheese with my wings and it was torture waiting for them to come back because I tried one and it was one of the tastiest buffalo wings I've ever had. The wings themselves were medium sized and maybe just the teensiest bit on the dry side. It's hard to understand the positive reviews for this place. There were three of us, not terribly picky, and everyone was disappointed. The fish taco's were uninspiring, the spicy cashew chicken was blah and the Shepard's pie was tasty but mostly due to being overly salty. The vegetables in the s.p. were straight out of the can as evidenced by their perfect squareness. The wine list is sort and right out of the supermarket wine section. Service was good and the outdoor seating is nice on a pleasant evening & the patrons seem to be repeat customers with an affinity for the place. As I said at the beginning, I don't get it. read more

We've gotten delivery from Welly's 3 times now through Grubhub (don't know why they don't link from their website, but whatever). We've gotten appetizers, pizza and a few dinner items. Everything was great, and they haven't ever messed up an order. I think their pizza is my favorite in Hudson! read more

We decided to give this place a try because we live nearby. We had a reservation for the patio and were promptly seated. We were given a QR code for the menu: the specials code worked, but the regular menu didn't. We ordered sangria and had to ask for a menu... it looked like we weren't the only ones having problem with the QR code... they had a stack of laminated menus that were being passed out. We ordered the surf and turf with the baked stuffed shrimp option, medium rare steak tips. The dinners arrived within 10 minutes. The steak tips were not medium rare and very chewy...think bubble gum. My husband ate his ( he's a guy). I have caps on my back teeth and didn't want to take a chance of losing one ( yes, they were THAT chewy). The baked stuffed shrimp were medium sized frozen shrimp with dry stuffing sprinked on top ... in all my years I have never had "stuffed shrimp " prepared like this! The broccoli was flavorless ( tasted like it was boiled). I really don't know how this place has any good reviews. The food was mediocre at best... definitely not worth the money. Our server, Devon, said " he would pass along our concerns to the chef"... he was totally not concerned ( maybe he was used to complaints). Reuben was terrific. The coke slaw was not, dry little dressing. The cauliflower with wing sauce was good but expected more than 12 small pieces for 15.00. My daughter got a salad which was large but missing the candies nuts and only received a very small container of dressing. As this was a delivery we could not rectify any of the problems. read more

Couldn't be more disappointed with a place. Stopped in about 10 days ago for lunch. We were seated next to a very rowdy table. My partner ordered a 0% Heineken and when his drink arrived at our table, it was the full alcohol. Luckily we realized it prior to him drinking it. He has almost a year of sobriety and is a combat veteran. The waitress didn't even seem to apologize when we brought it to her attention. I won't continue on a tangent, but our service was severely lacking thereafter. This could have caused a huge issue. I contacted the restaurant by email after it happened and explained my concerns. My girlfriend and I got lunch takeout from the new Welly's location in Hudson. We've been waiting for months for Welly's in Hudson to open as we've enjoyed the location in Marlborough. They're only doing takeout and delivery right now because of the coronavirus and they had curbside pickup which went smooth. I got fish and chips which were still crispy when I got home. The fish was delicious and the fries were very tasty. My girlfriend got a cob salad and wings. The salad was great and the wings were good. I think my favortie dish is still the chicken parm. Overall, their menu is standard (pizza, pasta, burgers, salads, etc), the service is always top notch and the food is consistently good. I'll be excited to go back and eat there once things return to normal. read more

The customer service dealing with gift card purchase was condescending and rude. The manager Joelle and the "general manager" Bree were extremely disrespectful and incompetent. The company took my $25 purchase 4 times rather than 1. They insisted that I deliberated chose to order 4 gift cards within 1 minute. This was a technical issue, that was extremely embarrassing, as it was delivered incorrectly to a good friend. They spoke to me as if I had no idea how to place an order. They insisted they would send me a confirmation of my refund and it took 3 hours to receive the email because the manager continuously sent it to the incorrect email address. I spent hours calling back and she continued to tell me it was my fault and was not getting the email address correct even when I was reading it directly to her. It will now take 72 hours to see my money back. If this is how they handle gift cards sales I can not imagine how they run a busy establishment? I would not go there and I feel bad for anyone who does!!!!! read more

We have visited this location several time and love the atmosphere but the last couple of times we have reserved a high top table in the bar area only for them to tell us that they moved us to the dining room. When we call we specifically state where we want to eat. Went tonight was told we were moved to dining room - told them we would wait for table where we want. Waited 45 minutes. Bar seats opened so we took them. Food was good but my husbands fish was paper thin. Hate to complain but he said something and they didn't care. Won't be back which is unfortunate. read more

I'll start with I usually enjoy my food from Welly's. Today I ordered a Margarita pizza (it comes with Pepperoni, which is strange for a margarita. I asked for no pepperoni) this was probably the worst margarita pizza I have ever had. The looks of it was not appealing. Usually a margarita had sliced fresh tomatoes, this..... was like 3 gobs of sauce.... 3. There were slivers of basil sprinkled around rather than leaves or larger pieces. Most slices had virtually no sauce at all. So it was crust and cheese. Kind of flavorless. For a $20 pizza I would have expected much more. Very disappointed to say the least and I'll never order pizza again form here. I would put no stars if I could. read more

Went here tonight with some friends who have been here before, although it was my first time. We chose outdoor seating even though it was cold, and they had heaters they turned on once we were seated. Our server, Maggie, was phenomenal! Funny, attentive, and cheerful, even when we lingered for a while after the rain started! The food was nice and hot despite the cold weather - I got the chicken parm, and we split the Korean cauliflower as an appetizer. Everything came out exactly as we ordered. Had lunch at Welly's Hudson- heads up parking can be aggravating. Settled up at the corner of the bar which gave us a warm and comfortable surrounding. Pleasant, personable staff greeted us and then things went a little off kilter. Music was completely inappropriate and way to loud for a lunch time crowd. Ordered the quesadilla that was enjoyable given that it had bbq sauce but we still enjoyed it. Disappointed in the skills of the bartender for a place that is trying to sell itself as a "trendy" establishment. Turn the music down, hire a bartender with real experience and if someone wants a double serve them a double as the house "policy" is ridiculous at this day in age especially at $14 a drink. Boston prices at a rotary in Hudson- someone needs a reality check. Would I return? If your buying I would otherwise I'd drive right by. read more

Not today. Usually a good experience, but not today. Asked for seating for a party of 8, and was told it was not a problem. Then when they went to seat us inside we were told we had to sit at 2 separate tables far away from each other. Given the opportunity to sit outside we were seated together. Yay! We ordered, then 2 of our party waited forever to get their food. One person didn't get her food until the rest of us had finished eating. Everyone that was served toast was served cold toast with no butter added in the kitchen. Some of the food was cold. I understand there is a labor shortage, but forgetting food is a no-no for a restaurant. We will come back, but it might be a while. read more

You'd think in these times restaurants, especially new ones would make double the effort to make sure everything was correct. They completely forgot my daughter's meal so had to make dinner while eating dinner. They burger was under cooked and needed to be cooked further, the onion rings looked like sauteed onions.
