If you're craving crispy fried chicken with a side of Pad Thai, then you need to check out Wendill's Chicken House. This is the oldest restaurant in the SFV and their fried chicken is a must order. Wendill's Chicken House is located in Pacoima at the corner of San Fernando Road and Goleta St. This a casual neighborhood dining option serving comfort thai food in the same restaurant space that has been open since 1929. The signature dish is of course Wendill's Old Fashioned Fried Chicken which is cooked fresh (25 min wait), served in 4 pieces and must be eaten with their sweet and sour sauce. For only $12, this is a such a great deal. All the staff here are really kind and treat each customer like a regular. It's important we continue to support local and small businesses so if you happen to be in the northeast side of the 818, I highly recommend stopping in.

Growing up in the valley, I remember seeing this place before but never stopped by until I saw a TikTok video on their fried chicken. We were driving back from SCV and decided to place an online order for pick up. We chose the 8pc mild spice meal that comes with french fries and although the website says it comes with a salad as well, it does not. The minute we picked up the chicken, we knew it was gonna be good. It smelled and looked delicious! The batter is light, yet crispy. The chicken is not greasy at all. I do have to say, the amount of fries was only enough for maybe 1 person. Overall, we're glad we finally tried Wendill's!

Small business with made to order food. They have parking for 4 cars but also have street parking. This is a place the locals enjoy. Highly suggest making a phone order is you want to try their chicken. Chicken takes about 20-30 minutes to make once order. They offer a small lunch special menu. Half Chicken w/ Fries- 8/10 Chicken is great and super crunchy. It comes with 12 pieces of fries. Lunch Chicken Chow Mein- 9/10 Needs a bit my flavor for my liking. It does come with 2 pieces of their Shrimp Egg Rolls.

Yummy chicken. The lady was decent, didn't hurt my feelings lol. I read someone mentioning she was not nice. Fried chicken is realllly Goooood, but skimpy on the fries. I would come back for that alone. My bf ordered shrimp fried rice, beef and broccoli and the shrimp"taquitos". I didn't care for the beef and broccoli, it was lacking flavor. Taquitos were good, and i don't like seafood. The place looks like your average hole in the wall. Fancy? Definitely not. Good food and decent prices is what you will find. They have been here for awhile, so they must be doing something right.

For $111.72 this was not worth it. We had gone there before and it was never this expensive or stingy on napkins. The restaurant looks like it's tearing apart and some of the items were rusty and super old bowls. We were 6 people. 2 adults and 4 kids. With kids you need at least two napkins I was only given 3 when I asked for more the lady only gave me 1. To make matters worse when we were walking out we saw a dead mouse out the door. Let's just say I will never risk taking my family there again. We only ordered two lemon soups 1 white rice. 1 plain chow mein( it was just noodles no veggies nothing)a Thai tea and 4 can sodas. Too expensive. That would have been better spent at in

I've been coming here for over ten years. It is not the most "clean" Thai restaurant. However, their Thai fried rice is to die for! I will admit, they are an older establishment that has managed to survive throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. Therefore, most of the restaurant is self service, has limited parking and not the nicest cashier. I honestly don't like to order food when the rude cashier is there (medium length hair, maybe mid 30's?). The flavors of the food really are worth it! P.S they prefer cash payments, parking can be a bit hard to find and they service alcohol. They also have a lunch special (smaller plates for less $$$) and sum up the price of the plates on a calculator. This restaurant is very old schooled and is in dire need of reparations. 8.4/10.

    The aftermath!

It could have been a meal with a small salad. So for my entree I had the lobster Mac and cheese. It was good as a well. Ooey gooey and seasoned nicely. She also had an ugly attitude. Price - 2/10 Honestly for pub food, it's way too overpriced. You're paying West Hollywood prices in the valley, probably more. I hate that each sandwich/burger is $15+ à la carte. Ridiculous! Cocktails - 2/10 Ordered an old fashioned multiple times & each time it was too heavy on the bitters. Gross!
