The building has 2 different personalities depending on what side you're facing. The side on San Fernando looks like a little Thai joint, but you just may miss the restaurant because it does not say Wendill's; However, if you're on the side street, it looks like a little country roadside joint. There's only one parking spot out front and it's handicap, but there is some street parking, just not directly outside of the restaurant on San Fernando because that's a no parking area. The place is actually quite large and could handle a good size crowd. I'm guessing they're busier on the weekdays than they are on the weekend. Everything is very clean, and has a simple motif. The staff, and whom I assume is the owner, was very pleasant and professional. You can just tell he's an immensely hard worker and prideful. I just ran over to try the chicken, but they have a very considerably-sized menu, and I'm going to go out on limb and say I suspect anything here would be fairly tasty and the portions large. This is a nice place to eat for a quick bite. It's not extravagant by any means, but If you like to see planes take off, it brings out a different vibe to an ordinary meal. The service was on point and polite. The chicken and shrimp rolls were hot. The sauce for the shrimp rolls looks deceiving but it's absolutely delicious. My chicken, was chicken and batter, nothing more, nothing less. Nothing grand about it. But with the "golden" shrimp roll sauce it was elevated a little bit. One aspect I did not enjoy was the amount of grease, but I'm pretty sure they were more concerned with serving me, so this time it's ok. Fries, me being harsh, were nothing worth craving. Well I've lived in the valley for almost 3 years now and I've always passed by this place along San Fernando and haven't had the chance to come here but one day I did and I'm glad i did. First off I want to say I didn't know they were not only known for Thai Food but for fried chicken as shown by the yelpers here. Next time I go in definitely gonna get their fried chicken. Well this place I have to say is special once I stepped in here and saw the place from the inside I just knew it was special. The menu with pictures postered up on the walls, the aroma of the Thai food being cooked in the kitchen being whisked into the dining room and I loved it! It reminded me of another Thai restaurant I always frequented growing up and this had the same feel and ambiance! The service was great the lady who takes the orders is also the one who wheels it out to you on their cart which is great! I got the shrimp taquitos which is basically a fried shrimp wonton a sort of Thai play on a Mexican taquito. You have to have it with the sriracha and the honey such a great combo of sauces onto the taquito not to mention it was nice and crunchy and fluffy on the inside too! I will say a bit pricey for the amount you get but it's good nonetheless. I also got their pad siu ew because that is my go to at every Thai restaurant and wow this was as I expected, grand! The right amount of veggies, meats, eggs and the spicy vinegar to top it off was perfection! I also got a Thai tea and man I have to say most of the time when I have Thai tea it's either too sweet or not sweet enough and this was a Goldilocks moment which was just right! I think this place falls into the hidden gem category even though it's not so hidden because it's right across the railroad tracks off San Fernando but it has that feel and charm. I've been coming here for over ten years. It is not the most "clean" Thai restaurant. However, their Thai fried rice is to die for! I will admit, they are an older establishment that has managed to survive throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. Therefore, most of the restaurant is self service, has limited parking and not the nicest cashier. I honestly don't like to order food when the rude cashier is there (medium length hair, maybe mid 30's?). The flavors of the food really are worth it! P.S they prefer cash payments, parking can be a bit hard to find and they service alcohol. I just tried this place a few days ago and I'm already back. Got the sour lemon mushroom soup with chicken, delicious broth, with the mushrooms some tomatoes and herb.
