Dave's Single & Bourbon Bacon Cheeseburger with their chili and fries.
    Terry C.

Having a limited time for lunch, we thought of giving Wendy's a try. It is easily accessible just off the 101 freeway at the Curbaril exit. The interior is clean, bright and modern, with several different seating options. The exterior and drive-thru areas look well attended to. Our selections included Dave's Single and the Bourbon Bacon Cheeseburger, along with an order of fries and a side cup of chili. My buddy had their Bourbon Bacon Cheeseburger, which is a quarter-pound of fresh, never-frozen beef topped with Applewood smoked bacon, American cheese, crispy onions, and a sweet, smoky bourbon bacon sauce, which he enjoyed. He said his fries were hot and delicious. I was not impressed with my Dave's Single (quarter-pound of fresh beef, American cheese, crisp lettuce, tomato, pickle, ketchup, mayo, and onion on a toasted bun) as it simply lacked flavor. I was glad it wasn't over-salted to add a false enhanced flavor, but the meat was a bit overcooked. Be aware that Dave's Original Single is actually a cheeseburger, so if you do not want cheese, let the cashier know. The chili was a bit lacking in flavor, but they gave a Wendy's seasoning packet, which greatly increased its overall flavor. Loaded with meat and beans, the chili was topped off with shredded cheese and raw onions. It was decent, but it should be served hotter given we ate in the restaurant. Service was prompt, the employees were friendly, and the atmosphere was very pleasant.

    Awful, cold, reheated fries

What a weird day today was for this visit. The burger was delicious as always: fresh and hot, and well made to order, but the fries were definitely old as could be, obviously reheated, yet somehow hard and cold. No salt whatsoever on the fries, and no salt in the bag as requested in my online order on the app. Considering that we were one of only two customers in the place you'd think they'd be able to do a better job.

$1 Chili Cheese Fries with coupon

The Chili Cheese Fries we're REALLY good especially for $1. I told the cashier I was dining in and it was on the receipt. As I sat down and opened the bag, lo and behold ... no fork and no napkins. Now this was going to be MESSY! So much chili and cheese. Now I don't want to eat like a Cave woman. So I got up off my butt and asked for these items. These young-uns have not developed their restaurant finesse yet. Or ... maybe they eat with their fingers and wipe their hands on their pants or shirt. Too fun of an experience.

Large fry cause I wanted to share with my wife. Why is it only like 2/3 filled?

Service is always fine but they always give you like minimal fries. It's just weird. Like how much yall reallly saving?

So a new person being trained however the trainer was very snippy and kept saying "I Know" When I said I didn't want the chicken nuggets with my jr cheeseburger she would not delete it saying it is part of the meal. However on the ticket she charged me $7.19. On the ticket was a jr cheeseburger combo that included fries and I wasn't charged separately for that. I was tired of the girl's attitude and just paid the ticket. I felt bad for the young man who was new to the job. I do not recommend this Wendy's at all. The one in Paso Robles is much better. At least they don't charge you for nuggets unless you want them. Also no ketchup in the pump machine. The girl needs to be trained more in customer service.

Caution! Think twice before going here! This is Wendy's in Atascadero, CA...El Camino Real and Curberill. Went through drive-thru. Order came to $8.68...gave them a $10 bill. Clerk handed me a $1 bill and said they didn't have 32 cents. Would a dollar be ok? "No but $1.50 would be fine. Why should we pay more money? Why don't YOU take the loss?" By this time 5 clerks were at the window! One yells "wow, you're entitled!" "My husband and I have worked hard for almost 50 years, so tell me how I'm entitled??" As I drove away, the same girl yells "dog, you're THAT old??" I ended up getting a $1.35 back. Why didn't they do that in the first place? Most rude people and horrible customer service I have ever received!!!

Supposed to be Nacho Cheeseburger with jalapeño cheese bun.

Several places were closed for the day already and I saw this little corner place that still had the Open sign on. Burgers? Sure, why not, that should fill me up and it sure did! I ordered the regular Old Fashioned (no cheese), side of fries and a drink. Everyone was very friendly and helpful as I've never been to this place to eat before let alone this part of the state! The burger was perfectly cooked at medium and very juicy and delicious! Fried were good, not great but the burger was the star of the meal anyway. But I will say the fries were good once I dipped them in the dripping juices and sauce from the burger. But it was a very hearty burger and after a long drive, really hit the spot! If I'm ever in this area again or see another Sylvester's I will definitely make it a point to visit and try a different burger. Favorite dish: Old Fashioned with no cheese. Go out and EAT!

I brought my two little grandsons on with me after school let out. First I was prepared because I lived in Atas 28 years and I knew the problem this location has with the middle school and high school kids hanging out here after school. They drive away customers and take up all the seating. Today it was raining in a freak May 28 storm so all the teens were inside. Worst case scenario and it's already normally bad. They even stand in the door and block you from entering as they are talking to another one walking by. I just made my way up the door and pushed forward not intending to be deterred. Inside the teens were taking up fully at least 3 tables for 4 people, mostly boys and there was an old couple in the corner trying to eat a meal that looked very uncomfortable. The teens, none of them had food ordered or on the table. All they do is buy soda or take it as they knew the cashier young girl. I wonder if they even pay for it. I saw her hand them cups I've seen other reviews with people complaining like me about the place being overrun with non paying customers. They will stand in the way too and block the drink machines, door access or whatever. They also have no manners and will not move or say excuse me or anything. All tough guys. lol. I had to kinda push my way through to get to the register. I told my little grandsons to quickly sit down at the only empty table and wait for me while I ordered to go. The girl at the counter was sweet and helpful which was a relief. Note: They give you a discount if you pay with cash. Our order cane up pretty quick because we were the only paying customers left since the old couple already had their food. The place was 100% full with squatters taking all the tables and management needs to step up and post signs. If not dining please move along and afk them to get out of the chairs and leave. !!!!!!! When weather is nice outside even more hoards are out there and it's difficult for families or couples to enjoy a meal. We got home with the food for our 9 year olds birthday dinner and the fries were soggy greasy. I even put them in my big air fry oven to warm and crisp them but they remained soggy. The onion rings were crispy. The 3 large tri tip salads were pretty good but I can only eat lean tri tip. Most of it was not edible for me. The boys liked their kids burgers. Dan had the 1/3 lb bacon burger with cheddar and he liked it. Anyway this restaurant would greatly increase their profit and be a comfortable place if they stepped up and saved tables for paying guests who order food. Isn't that the point of a restaurant?

In addition to IPAs, they have a good representaion of other styles, so there will be something for everyone-as long as they like beer. Wild Fields also puts together a home-brew competion, fuly embracing their community and craft beer roots. The winner gets to brew a batch of their recipe on the house system and this ultra low alcohol, smoked wheat beer was one of the most unique beers I've had. For the food, we had pulled pork and loaded mac-n-cheese. Pulled pork was fine, but I'd prefer more smoke flavor and aroma. For loaded mac, the protein is polish sausage-not something I've seen before. While it somewhat works, I don't think I'd order this again.
