If you're looking for a hamburger along the A concourse at CLT, you could do worse than this Wendy's. While you could walk thousands of steps to find a competitor, don't bother. Got stuck at the CLT airport and thank goodness there was a Wendy's!! I usually get the 4/$4 but you know they don't have those deals in airports so I went for the big bacon classic combo. Went to the register to order and I told the lady how I hate pickles and to please take them off and she was on my level saying she doesn't like them either. Gotta love when you run into your kind. Lol!! The burger was delicious tho I do wish there was more bacon on it. I never even get bacon on my burger but now I think I should every time. Normally, when approaching a franchise restaurant at an airport, I feel a little bit of trepidation. This Wendy's, however, showed me how wrong I was. The greeting arrived immediately, and the ease of ordering surprised me. As I waited for my food, the cashier went out and cleared tables in the little "dining room" next to the counter. I've been eating at dirty airport spots much of my life, and I was excited to have a clean place to eat. FYI, I'm currently sitting at a work area at my gate which is littered with little pieces of food and fast-food garbage. Assembly of the salad occurred when I ordered it, not early this morning, or yesterday. Asking for a different dressing didn't throw the store into a spin (yes, it happens), and I even had napkins and a fork without hunting or asking! For airport food, it was a very pleasant surprise! Early flight into Charlotte left us pretty hungry, our plane disembarked right by a Wendy's so they were the winner for our breakfast dollars lol. Long before we arrived in the States, we knew we wanted to try the new Wendy's Italian Mozzarella Chicken Sandwich, since, for some reason, it wasn't made available in Canada. I came through here (the CLT airport location) dinnertime (5:30pm) on June 25th, 2024. The service was AMAZING: they were so polite and helpful. The staff made sure to clean the dining area by hand, right after people left a table open. Also, bless them for keeping the prices relatively close to the same as "downtown" - that's epic in a location where *every* other airport restaurant charges $18-28 for a sandwich. And it was faster than most Wendy's I have been to; it's like the management knew to be ready for rush-hour dinner time. :) read more

Idk the name of whoever was working cashier before it hit 10pm tonight (wed. Oct 16) but they were very condescending and disrespectful overall. Man was middle aged (salt and pepper locs) and had a goatee. In the 30 seconds he could have left an impression on a customer he chose to leave a bad one. He talked to me and my companion like we had trouble with comprehension. It was sad really, I don't know what we could have done wrong for him to act that way. Fries were good though. read more

This and Cinnabon are the only options in this small terminal, but I really enjoyed my first time having Wendy's for breakfast. The breakfast potatoes were super yummy and my bacon egg cheese croissant was good too. Knowing I'll be in this terminal more often, it's a good place to grab a quick bite. read more

I usually don't do reviews on fast food but I absolutely HAD to because the service & food here was AMAZING!! Literally the food looked like the pictures, tables were regularly cleaned as we sat down for like 15 minutes and ate. I believe our cashier was Alex he was great & didn't rush us ordering or anything. Really good service overall, definitely the best airport food I had in a while. It was piping hot! Located in the A concourse between gates A5 and A7, this Wendy's has the usual menu of burgers and salads and even baked potatoes! Service is super snappy and efficient. Small seating area nearby and of course, you're welcome to bring your burger with you on the plane. My recommendation? A double with cheese and no pickles. And if you really want to be the highlight of someone's flight, get some extra onions up in that! read more

What a relief to find a familiar fast food site that is not overcrowded. Dave Thomas' chili recipe is secret treasure. Food arrived in timely manner and happily I continued on my way. This is the Wendy's in the Delta terminal at Charlotte airport; for fast food burgers this place is a good choice. They were busy (it was lunch time), but I had my food pipping hot within 6 minutes or less! Seating is tight, (and there were construction workers vying for seats too, as this is right near where the construction is happening), but a table opened right as my food arrived. Overview: This Wendy's is nestled in Charlotte Airport's Concourse A, and is impossible to miss thanks to its location next to a gigantic photo of a woman eating Wendy's fries. The Service: More tired and disgruntled than their non-airport counterparts due to very, very early hours. The Establishment: There is a small collection of tables directly next to this Wendy's that can seat probably a dozen people. It's usually open and I have never had trouble finding a place to sit. The Food: Everything here is prepared with more haste than its out-of-airport version, even when there is no line. Chili containers only 3/4 full, breakfast burritos (pictured below) look like tiny bean bags, etc. Also, the menu appears truncated and doesn't include value-items or specialty items like like Frosties (if my memory serves me correctly.) If need more detail on how it tastes, the breakfast burrito is mushy, and one-dimensional. The chili is overly salty, and all the meat appears to have been burned at one point. Chicken sandwiches are dry and also flavorless. Veggies are skimpy. Bread is... white. Conclusions: This airport Wendy's is unfortunately a fairly mediocre fast food restaurant that I regrettably eat at often due to the lack of selection in Concourse A. read more

This Wendy's at the Charlotte airport is slamming! I was there for a bite in between flights - Wendy's is seriously one of my favorite fast food outlets. Like all chains, you have good locations and bad locations. This location is seriously great! The service was quick and personable - even in their rushing to serve the line of customers they had, both of the people I spoke with were genial and service oriented. As most airport locations of chain restaurants, their menu is not the full offering. The food was fantastic! I ordered a single with cheese meal, replacing the fries with chili, which the staff accommodated without question as per the Wendy's routine. We came here under the pretense that the meat was be "good 'never frozen' quality", as per their advertisements. We left unsure about the truth of such claims. We ordered a plain cheeseburger, the only way to test the quality of a fart food chain. Fast food chain*. The bread was considerably underwhelming and the burger meat itself was no different than that of McDonald, who (presumably) freezes their meat. Further, we ordered a side of Small French Fries. We found them slightly too potatoey, which is perhaps an indication of their lack of sodium content. My girlfriend remarked that they just made her want McDonald's Small French Fries. Whoever Wendy is, I would recommend her to take a lesson from Mr. McDonald -- perhaps don't focus on the lack of freezing the meat, I'm favor of giving more attention to the quality of the bun and the saltiness of the Small French Fries. read more

Sunday morning 8am. No coffee ready. No cereal bars for combos Asked for Artisan egg sandwich with sausage, counter person said "sausage biscuit" I said no, #2 egg sandwich. She asked me if it read right on the screen. Screen said sausage biscuit. Other counter person said " he clearly said #2. " Asked for combo with cereal bar and coffee. She did not know how to do the combo and had to get help. Other counter person starting berating her for not knowing how to ring it up, and not being able to count, not having coffee ready, and not stocking up front. 2nd person took my payment. I was then informed that they were out of the cereal bars, did I want apple slices. I didn't, but could not bear the effort of crediting me the price difference. Took 10 minutes for coffee, then another 10 for sandwich. I was the only customer in line, and only one person was seated. Decided to open the apples, and they were brown, mushy, rotten. Ok so took me a bit to figure this one out because i dont try to eat here much when i pass through or in general at wendys. But today i picked up on this one, they are running a decent scam here so buyer be ware!! I noticed this maybe last year, i always get a baconator. I got one and it just seemed ehhh not really what i have gotten in the past (from other wendys) but didnt really care. Today, i got another. Standing in line i realize they "son of baconator" is not available here... it is crossed out on their menu. I was thinking thats odd because they have the components its just one less patty and prob less bacon. I got a baconator and ate it in my plane noticing again like last time i ate here, it is tiny!! Only one patty. So it seems they nixed the son and charge you for a regular and give you a son of baconator to either save time or they are too lazy to cook 2 patties!
