I came in for an eat in meal. When I attempted to use the soda dispensing machine most of soft drink choices showed "UNAVAILABLE". When I finally found a flavor that was available, the liquid was SUPER SWEET. I could not identify what the flavor was since I could only taste sugary syrup. I didn't bother with notifying the staff because they seemed to be too preoccupied with customers at the drive-thru. Next time maybe I'll bring my own drink.. read more

Standard Wendy's, pretty busy considering the location. The line of several people was quick moving, the crowded cooking area managed to churn out food at a good pace. Unlike most Wendy's you don't have the massive Coke machine allowing you to mix an infinite variety of their products and refill at your leisure... rather hey have a small antiquated by today's standards fountain located behind the counter. Order was up quickly, spicy chicken sandwich and fries. Small junior cheeseburger because I skipped breakfast. Wendy's must have had a discount on mustard because my cheeseburger was swimming in tangy yellow that would drip out of the sandwich which every bite, plopping on the table and staining my fingers. The mustard lubricated the sandwich so much the burger patty had difficulty staying between the buns. French fries were terrific. Maybe a little heavy handed in the salt, but pure goodness. Spicy chicken sandwich also didn't disappoint. Crispy with a little heat, tender white meat chicken. One employee who was charged with window washing and cleaning of the tables was nice enough to chat us up about the weather. The hyper-geriatric clientele surrounding us loudly hacked on phlegm while downing their sandwiches with lip smacking enthusiasm. Not certain if Orleans has a senior center or if this has become the common meeting place for the many q tip headed members of the greatest generation. Very enjoyable food, $10 is steep but I left not feeling hungry. My work partner who joined me for lunch says he feels sick. read more

When to the drive thru last night got a pretty good late night bite. Buddy got a Dave's meal; once we got our order drove off feeling lit. Buddy asks to hand him his fries and there were no fries in the bag. At that moment you hate to see it. Come home open the rest of the bag my burger had so much Mayo on it looked like a cream pie; the baconator fries had semi raw bacon and the fries were limp. THIS PLACE IS AN ABSOLUTE DISGRACE! Since when did man handling the customers thru the drive thru become ok? JOSE has to be the rudest, most arrogant ASS I have ever met! When I was handed a small black hot coffee after ordering a MED ICED REGULAR I asked if it could be fixed, he snatched it from my hand and as I was repeating the way I wanted it made he slammed the window in my face. When he returned, with hesitation in my voice I told him that one of the sandwiches was completely wrong! I ordered a #3 and a #4 and received two #3. Again, he slammed the window in my face. When he returned he asked for the wrong sandwich back (what do you plan on doing with it? Resell?) as I handed the sandwich out the window to him he took it from my hand with such force that it yanked my hand closer to the window! At this point I decided to enter the establishment and demanded to speak to the manager! To my surprise, he was that one I was working with the whole time! When I was in the store and ready to confront him, he threw the new sandwich on the counter and walked away before I could even say anything! I was not leaving without having a conversation with him! When he did finally approach the counter he started with "WHAT" ... and then proceeded to BITCH about how short handed they were and that people like "us" don't help! I will NEVER go here again! JUST GIVE ME THE FRICKIN' TOMATO if you're charging me for it! You know, I actually had a good experience here this winter, got a good meal, and when we complimented the manager, Stefanie, she looked shocked to be receiving a compliment, smiled and handed us two holiday coupon books with some killer deals in them... so that was cool. I would have updated my review to 3 stars for that. But now they're back to this line of "due to the high cost of tomatoes we are not putting them on your sandwich unless you specially ask for it." What the g-d frickety-frickin' BS is this? If you are going to delete something off your product, then you damn well better lower the price as well. Don't just de-content your product and keep charging the same price. Plus, twice now, when I've specially asked for the tomato I am paying for, I still didn't get it... so of course I go right back up there and demand extra tomato which they then have to put in a disposable dish for me... and this is saving them money??? Plus the staff attitude is still so piss-poor, it's a shame. I know I'm on the compulsive side... but I simply do not understand how you can wipe a table off and still leave crumbs of food on it and just not care. And I've watched the staff do that not once, or twice, but on 3 separate visits. Do you really need extended training and supervision on how to clean a table???? Really ??? What is wrong with these people? Reading the reviews, it seems that someone is cranky. We stopped for sandwiches, the same order issued from Orano, ME to the end of Key West and these folks managed to mess it up. Worse, my special needs son would not eat it! He is fine with all sorts of food, but not here. The grilled chicken was ordered plain, nothing on it. It came with a copious amount of orange ooze. I tasted it and - it seemed like a tangy version of government cheese. The staff were polite and efficient, area neat and clean. Ever since the renovation the service @WendysOrleans has been atrocious!! The 1st time I went inside to order my food and it took 23 minutes to get my grilled Chicken sandwich and Apple Pecan Salad! There was 2 people in line in front of me!! I thought this might just be a fluke....I was wrong! This morning I used the drive thru to order 1 honey butter chicken biscuit breakfast sandwich and a small strawberry lemonade. There was 1 truck already at the window when we placed our order. 15 minutes later the truck was still at the window and still no one had come to even come to the window to service the truck with their food. I didn't have the time to wait any longer so I had pull out of line and now had no time to stop elsewhere. So much for fast food!! Stopped in here, famished, on my way back from the Cape, figuring it was a pretty safe bet as most Wendy's would be held to the same standard. I was definitely wrong. The manager was stationed at the cash register and seemed as if me taking time away from her personal conversation to place an order was an imposition. Got my usual, a chicken sandwich. Took a while to arrive, especially considering there were only one or two other parties there. Got it, sat down, opened it, and was just a bit surprised to find it was literally just a patty on a bun with a single piece of lettuce and a coating of mayonnaise. Now how I knew there was one piece of lettuce (besides being 10 fold more competent than the brightest employee there by just being able to count)? Because it fell out before I even got a chance to take a bite due to the comically bad construction of a sorry excuse for a sandwich. No bacon, tomato, cheese, etc. I was far too hungry to wait for another order to arrive, and didn't want to deal with the manager again, so I sat and ate it. Honestly, the single worst fast food restaurant I have ever been to. Unless you're actually going to endure physical harm from a lack of immediate nutrients, keep driving until you find something else. read more

I was sexually harassed by an employee. As the only fast food place near me (I live in Wellfleet) I go here maybe 2 or 3 times in a month, service is always a little hit or miss but the food is decent and always made to order correctly and efficiently. The other day I went in with a friend, I was wearing a racer back tank top with a spaghetti strap tank underneath but I have a naturally large chest so it doesn't matter what I wear I have cleavage 99% of the time. I'm used to people glancing and looking, that's normal, but what I don't expect or appreciate is when people just straight stare and practically drool. Especially when it is someone who works at the location I am visiting and should be professional, this man was not. He is a tall thin man maybe in his 40s/50s not only wouldn't stop looking at my chest, he went in the back and had co workers come out and look, they made comments to each other and not quietly, all while I was standing in line and ordering. Once we received our order and I walked away with my food, this guy says to my cashier "did you see her tits?" To which the cashier replied "oh yeah, I'm dreaming" all while I am standing right there and can hear them!!! I was mortified and embarrassed. I didn't want to approach the counter again to ask for a manager, I ate my food quickly and left. The guy who was making the comments wasn't wearing a name tag so I was unable to call or come back later and report them. This is sexual harassment. read more

Yesterday I tried it only to find dry, overcooked chicken, a heavy batter, too much mayo, and a limp piece of lettuce. The pickle, however, was OK. When I'm in Orleans during the summer months (which is fairly often), I don't like to spend too much time with breakfast, so I opt for some sort of fast food option, of which there aren't a whole lot in this area. So during two recent outing to Orleans, I went to Wendy's. I'm generally a fan of Wendy's, finding it to be an ever so slight step up from McDonald's or Burger King when it comes to fast food. But the Wendy's in Orleans might make me unfortunately change my mind based on these two recent outings...especially my visit their earlier today. While they recently renovated the place (it looks quite nice), the service is painfully slow. I went there this morning at 8:30, and it wasn't busy at all. I placed my order, it took close to fifteen minutes to come out. In fact, some people who placed their orders after I did got their food sooner. By the time it did come out, the line behind me had grown quite long, and customers agitated. On top of all of this, my breakfast burritos weren't exactly warm. I was going to send it back, but didn't want to have to wait again. Why nobody thought to open another line to accommodate more customers is beyond me. What's keeping this from being a one-star review was the girl behind the counter who took my order (I think her name was Rose). She was pleasant and trying her best to take customer's orders, bring out their food, listen to people complain, etc. In short, she was doing the job of three people, so I can't blame her for the shoddy experience. Let's hope the Wendy's in Orleans gets their act together before the onslaught of summer tourists who will arrive in just a few short weeks. read more

Worst experience ever. Came through drive thru. Got a double stack. No mustard. Told lady I was allergic to mustard like I always do. When I got the burger I parked to check it. It had mustard. I go back in I explain to the cashier I'm allergic to mustard and I told the lady in drive thru. I kid you not. He says okay so you want mustard. NO! I'm allergic. He walks to the back. Quickly comes back and hands me the order. Goes back to chatting with his friends. I again check the burger. Still mustard. I'm mad now. I ask if they are trying to kill me or something. Manager over hears the whole thing. Never says anything or tries to fix it. Anyway few minutes goes by and the burger is brought back up. While waiting the cashier and his friends are speaking another language and laughing and looking at me. Wow! I should have just asked for my money back!!! Terrible customer service. Going in for lunch and hearing one of the employees verbally bullying a fellow worker who clearly has some type of disability is unsettling. I didn't get her full name but what i could see from her name tag but it was a jamaican women and her name started with a "k". She was bantering him about why he called out the previous day. "Were you sick yesterday?" no reply "Were you sick or you just didn't want to work" i couldn't really hear what he was answering to that because it was a bit of a mumble. "You didn't want to work because your just a baby you weren't sick you seem fine" "You're such a babyyy" followed by laughing. He continued to do his job and wipe down the tables. He was clearly not humored by these comments and i believe it hurt him. A grown women bullying a kid with a disability is disgusting and i hope she gets talked to about this because it should never be happening ever. read more

I've worked at 3 Wendy's. The first one we had to toast bags of buns, put them back in the bag, and store them above the sandwich area in bun warmers. This also where Orleans Wendy's stores their buns but for decades you always get a nice cold chewy untoasted bun. This is only a benefit when travelling great distance with your foil wrapped sandwich and the meat warms it up. Tomato requirements on say a chicken filet sandwich is 2 slices so lets lower that to one big slice or two small. I love all Wendy's for that one teeny tiny unripened tomato with a big chunk of white lettuce heel. I had a pretty good sausage and egg biscuit here ages ago but credit for that surely goes to the Jamaican girl cook. read more

Food is decent. We're locals so we are here once or twice a month. What you would expect from a fast food joint. But please be sure not to have any part of your chest exposed if you're a person who has breasts... the two gentlemen who rang us up and assembled our order were absolute PIGS.... (September 1, 2019 at around 5 past 4:00 in the evening) wouldn't stop glaring at my friends chest/tank top as if they were the moth from the Moth/Lamp/Bröther memes. They even went as far as to make comments, as if I wasn't standing there watching them or couldn't hear... the tall and thin gentleman even went into the back past the deep fryers and sent his co-worker out to stare at her chest... as if we were brainless and didn't have a clue what was happening. They made it so nauseatingly obvious and the atmosphere quickly became incredibly uncomfortable. There is a difference between looking... and glaring as if you're at an all you can eat buffet. I love all of the managers here, in particular the red headed gentleman, and we always have positive interactions with the staff. The the tall/thin gentlemen was, of course, not wearing a name tag. I was disgusted and disappointed with the lack of self control from these two workers in particular... it's not a good look, and I highly doubt Dave Thomas would approve of their behavior. read more

If Travis is managing this place, everything's a go. Great crisp, crunchy fries. Staff is unusually kind. Sometimes however, the staff will forget a straw or fork. Normal though for a fast food restaurant and not a big deal. Don't pass on the bbq sauce, it's a MUST with your fries or chicken nuggets. It's fast food so if you go when it's busy or the drive threw good luck getting what you order. That said on the very rare occasion I do eat here, I always eat inside, ask for fries well done, and ask for a fresh fried piece of chicken. Under those conditions I feel it's technically safe to eat there. I'd never get a burger there, they are always over cooked and I don't eat food that's been held in a warm holding tray... The chili is made using the burgers that went to long in the warmers or were left over. You will get better food at any other restaurant and be helping the local economy. read more

Outdated fast food is a big dive, considering the wasteland you are shoveling in your mouth in the first place. The bathrooms haven't been changed or altered since I was a kid, and they are always unsightly. Wow.. I wrote to corporate about this place. I was on my way back to my summer cottage from the beach when I stopped here for a quick snack, 2 junior bacon cheeseburgers. I placed my order, the cashier told me my total which was something like $3.15. I went to the pick up window, paid with exact change, got my bag of food and drove off. Looked in the bag and I only had one cheeseburger! I drove back, went into the restaurant and demanded the second burger which I paid for. The cashier looked at my receipt and much to my surprise it said I had only ordered one burger! What?!? I asked to speak to the manager, told her what had happened. She refused to give me the burger or a $1.49 refund, as if I was trying to rob Wendy's out of a dollar. I told her to count the register, that it would be over at least $1.50. Nope, customer isn't always right here, I flipped out and left the store yelling I would write corporate which I did. Moral of the story: These people don't care about the customer at all.
