COVID eating @ it's worst! If I were to do a comparison with the location in Castro Vally vs Pinole...this Wendy's in Pinole would get a big F for Failure to make a descent breakfast. My husband & I tried the Honey Butter Chicken Biscuit that I bragged about eating from Castro Valley, so we tried the Pinole location & let me say these biscuits were soaked down with the honey butter as well as being microwaved.. I love Wendy's. Good food, consistent, appreciate the sea salt fries or whatever they did to upgrade them. But this location always has me wondering if it's going to be a good drive thru experience or have me wishing I went to McDonalds. Every time I'm greeted by nice people on the intercom and at the window. No problem with that side of customer service truly. It's just that their drive thru can be so slow! From getting someone to take the order, to waiting for the food to be ready. I mean, this isn't in and out. And even they have people that come up to your cars to take your order to make it seem like they're hurrying it up. No clue what this franchise location is doing but it's not working. I can't even blame in on a lunch or after work rush. They just probably need better management or something. But I shouldn't be getting through two or more songs on the radio waiting to even get to the intercom/ speaker box thing. Was really craving some nuggets. When we arrived there was a line and we waited. When I approached the speaker wasn't greeted and just sat there. I said "hello" into the speaker and was responded with hold on. I order my food and get to the window and the credit card processor went down. The cashier was apologetic, but the other guy (mgr?) had a horrible attitude. Asked if I could wait while it reboots and was told no. I told him I didn't bring cash and his response was "well, we can't help you then." I offered to go to an ATM, but was told I'd have to wait in the drive thru line again. This place sucks. No bueno. I've only gotten a free frosty from Wendy's before, so after watching "Keith eats everything from Wendys" from the Try Guys, I really wanted to try their crispy chicken BLT. I ordered from the mobile app, but they don't start making your item until you walk in and tell them that you have a mobile order. I ended up getting their crispy chicken BLT and their classic chicken sandwich (which was free with any mobile app purchase) and the crispy chicken BLT was WAY better than the classic chicken sandwich. It was a little ironic since the classic chicken sandwich is like $5.59 and their crispy chicken BLT is $2.59. I honestly would much rather just get 2 crispy chicken BLTs than 1 classic chicken sandwich. We also got a regular medium fries, and they were honestly not that good, I'd prefer In-N-Out, Jack in the Box, or Five Guys fries instead. We also did carryout instead of drive thru because for some weird reason, the drive thru always has a long line of cars. Overall, I'd come again but only for the crispy chicken BLT. The last few visits to this Wendy's have been disappointing, but our visit on 1/5/22 was so bad I will never use this store again. We went through the drive through, we were having trouble with the app. We said never mind we will walk in to order. When we went to go in the store, an employee came out and said the app is not our concern it is yours, you have to go back through the drive through. I told him just wanted to order inside, he said you can't, only drive through. As we were walking back to the car, another customer went inside . Today we got a charge for this on our credit card. The burgers, salads, nuggets and beverages are highly recommended. It is tastier and juicer than the competitions. Wendy's surely delivers a great food products. My only concern is that staffs in the drive thru area may not have the same core values that corporates has. As always "Great product and an excellent customer service" are recipes for success but one is missing, it needs to be fixed. Customer service is lagging in the Drive Thru area as i witnessed in person the bickering among employees in the Drive Thru section and also I witnessed a staff busy texting with his cell phone during working hours. At any workplace, there is no room for business and personal matters. Hopefully, the staffs will come into senses that they all contribute to the success of their company, Wendy's. read more

I've come to this Wendy's several times over the years. I've never had any significant issues other than the long drive-thru line. Other than that this location is like any other Wendy's I've gone to in terms of the food. I usually go through the drive-thru, but recently I decided to go inside. I was pleasantly surprised at how much work they put into the inside of the restaurant. Everything was updated and they even put in an electronic fireplace. Ever since the 4 for $4 and $5 Biggie Bag menu items were introduced I got for one of those with a vanilla frosty and a fresh regular or strawberry lemonade. On my most recent visit I was craving some chili and it had been years since I had their chili. Unfortunately my memory of their chili was off because it was not good at all. It was bland and underwhelming. I also ordered spicy nuggets and those delivered and were really good. Overall I will go back to this Wendy's I just won't order the chili again. read more

Horrible service! They ALWAYS forget something in my order. Unfortunately for me, they are my local restaurant so I have to be sure to thoroughly check my drive thru order every time, usually with mean stares by the workers. The last time, I called in after realizing they mistakenly gave me a basic child's hamburger instead of my $7 burger I ordered, and asked them to bring it out to me. I was right outside in the middle of the afternoon and parked, but they refused and said I needed to walk in and get it. I'm disabled and that wasn't possible. Huge Wendy's found here. Always love their chili, frosties and pretty much anything they make with chicken. But for some reason this location just cannot get to the french fries right. So much potential but as soon as you get them they are soggy, you might as well be eating mashed potatoes. They're the soggiest fries I've ever had. They remind me of McDonald's fries the next day. After getting my order and driving back to work 5 minutes this is what the french fries look like. And this is consistent, when I first started going to this Wendy's about 2 years ago it was the case. I stopped ordering fries because they were always horrible, recently a new manager has started getting the 4x4 for lunch for us regularly and I basically just throw the french fries away. My Experience here is always the best! I have been frequently coming here with my family sometimes to get food or frosty's for at least 5 years, but My Dad has been hooked on getting The salads and I come by almost everyday sometimes to get A salad or two! At least 3 or 4 times A week! Since coming so often, The Manager Karan Singh, and the crew here have always treated me like family! Always so nice and the food is always fresh! The staff here is wonderful! They provide exceptional customer service with all smiles!! I went last night to get food for my grandparents and I, I went through the drive thru, they handed me a few bags and told me have a good day and I said actually I still need my drinks and I was very polite, the girl in the drive thru was sweet. When I got home I realized that I was missing a burger and I looked at my recite to make sure that I had payed for it and they called the store, this was at 8:15 Sunday night. The man who claimed to be the manager of the store proceeded to call me a thief and I said excuse me? I said I still have all my bags untouched and drinks as well and I'll bring back to have my money back and he said he'd pay me for everything but the sandwich. I was pissed so I asked for his name. He said I don't have to tell you anything, I then asked for a manager and he said I am the manager, so I asked for his employee number and he hung up on me. I called three times after and he picked up and hung up the first two times then left his phone off the hook. He's pretty pathetic and I'm almost positive he wasn't the manager. This is by far the worst customer service I've ever experienced. My Cashier Karan for Order #3472 at 11:15pm. I asked for a moment to get my order together his response was "Well there's a line behind you" mind you I pulled up about 10 seconds ago. He was condescending when I asked if my fries could be fresh responding "No They will be Soggy" AND THEY WERE. I went to Wendy's tonight because the line at in n out was too long. What a mistake. The line was just as long and I can't speak on how the food was because they didn't give it to me. I was told my card was declined by a rude male worker wit long hair - which was funny because my bank account said otherwise. I attempted to provide a different card and sat staring at him chit chat for 4 mins straight as the line behind me piled up.
