Just passing through on our way back from Port Angeles. Long trip with very few eating options between there and Shelton. Especially at 8:30 pm. Got really discouraged after Yelping up fast food in this area. Seemed like every option had less than 3 ratings, Wendy's was no exception. We live 75+ miles away and it looked like we were going to just give up and have a cold bowl of cereal when we got home. But "Hangry" dictated we make a decision so Wendy's it was. I could tell the girl at the counter was tired, but smiled and was helpful. I think it was me that smiled first because I've learned that smiles are magically contagious which is nice when I'm wanting something from someone. Ambiance was typical for this kind of place. Most of the tables were clean as well as the floor and self service areas. Considering it was at the end of the day, it was pretty decent. The food was hot, fresh and very good. I was a little concerned because the boys that were working the kitchen and drive-thru were chattering like a bunch of old friends but everything turned out great. Nothing wrong with "happy" if you can still do the job. We ordered 2 of the Biggie Bags w/Bacon Double Stack burgers for $7 which all came out fairly quickly! The burger was pretty small, but it was bursting with flavor! And combined with everything else, we thought it was a pretty good deal for what we got. I have gone to Wendy's on 3 different occasions since they came to Shelton and every single time I have received a messed up order whether it's a wrong item or missing the item entirely. My last order I waited 25 minutes in the parking lot for a mobile order of 4 items and they gave me completely different salad from what was ordered. Food is good when it's correct. read more

Absolutely. The. WORST. Fries. In. Town. Okay, so I have had Wendy's fries that were not this disgusting. I gave them time after opening, thinking thinking that there would be hiccups in the first few weeks, months...but no. Limp. Greasy. Over seasoned. I have to give them to my husband EVERY SINGLE TIME. He has a Traumatic Brain Inury and he cannot taste or smell things properly. The meat is over cooked, dry, and rubbery tonight. I have had nothing but good experiences with this Wendy's until tonight. After placing our order and waiting an unusually long time for Wendy's standards this young man appeared to be dressed as management with a black mask took my payment, during his pleasantries he casually mentions "it's all good until you run out of bacon" we asked if that was the case and he confirmed, we told him that almost everything we ordered had bacon on it and he just laughed it off... bacon cost more to be put on food and he didn't offer to adjust our payment or compensate us, in fact he pretended like nothing was wrong and this was just an unfortunate night. I understand that things happen, and that's not a problem. but they failed to mention before the order was placed and didn't try to make it right so it felt like "you paid for this but you don't get it and I'll still take your money!" read more

If you are in a hurry, don't use the drive thru. 4-5 cars ahead of you equals ~20 minute wait. They also have issues making decent french fries. They always seem sogged out and sometimes flat out greasy. (Hint - don't overload the fryer.) Its also obvious that they pre-cook a lot of proteins. I've had breakfast sandwiches with sausage that was brown/nearing black on one side (surprise - dry as hell) and burgers that were similar. Finally, if you are in their points/rewards system, order via the app instead of ordering at the restaurant. They have been open for a month and still don't have a scanner at the drive thru to scan your QR code on your phone. I've contacted corporate about my concerns and they don't seem to give a damn. read more

First time visiting this location in Shelton as well as using the Wendy's app and I can wholeheartedly say I won't be visiting or using the app again. When I placed the order and reached the location I was told there was no order in the system, I park and remake the order, get back in line and was told again there was no order placed, then another associate says my name and that they actually do have my order and please pull up to the second window. I get to the window, I'm given someone else's order along with mine, I gave the other order back. This whole ordeal takes 25 minutes. yeah chief thisnplace ain't it. we came in after debating whether or not to eat at home or just stop as we had quite some time before we reached home. Upon arrival in the dine-in we were greeted with the stench of bodily odors. The lady taking our order was very kind however when we took out a bite of our order which consisted of the 2 ghost pepper ranch meals and 1 biggie bag. We were greeted with horrid dry chicken. Not only was the chicken dry it tasted off. I don't know if it was a bad batch of chicken, but it doesn't explain the fact that I got the bad one and my dad got a good one. We had a new Wendy's here in Shelton that everybody was looking forward to it's grand opening since there's not much in restaurants and fast food in Shelton. Once it finally opened then the next day is closed again for another 78 days nobody has any information on why yeah about all they're open now grand opening signage everywhere and they're closed. First they were serving breakfast is now you're lucky they open for lunch. Two days ago went to stop there to pick up breakfast again they're closed and not serving breakfast and there's no signs for customers telling us why thank you for your patience as we get settled nothing they look at you like you're crazy if you ask any questions about it so the fever has died down and most of us are very disappointed. read more

The manager took our order and taunted us, sarcastically, over the details (which weren't outrageous: I wanted extra onions, and my daughter chose no tomatoes on hers). I Love Wendy's, but the Shelton one is horrible, I had there 2 breakfast sandwiches for $4 an the sausage one was inedible and I threw it out. I went back again at 10:25 the next day and ordered chili and a burger, no breakfast until 10:30, I was 5 min too early. I waited in line until I could drive through, remember breakfast was awful. Yesterday I went again and wanted chili, no chili, so I got a burger, and when I went to pay they told me they only accept exact change or a credit card. I don't know if that is permanent or not. Since they seem to have difficulties with customers, they won't be bothered by me anymore, and I am going out of my way to share my thoughts with everyone I come in contact with. read more
