An incredible first visit! Service, atmosphere, and food were outstanding. Highly recommend trying it out!

First impression is quirky atmosphere, but then you notice how spotlessly clean it is! Had lunch- deep fried stuffed mashed potato ball, roast pork and seasoned rice with red beans. Everything was very good, potato ball was crispy on the outside and creamy on the inside. Stuffing of ground pork went really well, especially with the sauces they brought to the table, Roast pork was tasty and the rice complimented nicely. Service was quick and friendly. Will be back to try the rest of the menu!

This is all 3 of the desserts. Coconut pudding is best, my son loved the flan.

Service was friendly and quick. Our server explained the menu to us as we were unfamiliar with Puerto Rican cuisine. We had the stuffed potato ball and the cod fritters as an appetizer as recommended and we were not disappointed. We shared the Cuban Taino sandwich made with crispy Plantain in place of bread.(Highly recommend) and the Chicken Entree with beans and rice. SO MUCH FLAVOR!!! Check this place out you will not be disappointed!

Excellent service, great location, and outstanding food. I'm visiting for a work trip, and the flavors truly felt like home, everything tasted fresh and homemade. The staff provided attentive and friendly service, and the ambiance made the experience even more enjoyable. I highly recommend this place and will definitely return on my next visit.

My first try at this new place, I must say the chicken Taino sandwich on plantain was fantastic! The staff was very friendly, George the owner stopped at my table and we had a great conversation about Puerto rican foods. I will be back, can't wait to try more of the menu. What a treat to have here in Lafayette.

Gas!!! This place is a hidden gem in Lafayette! If you want a hole in the wall with great food and nice people, go to Wepa and get the Taino Tripleta.

It has been forever since I last reviewed this spot. It is still a small family restaurant, so if…read moreyou bring in a larger group, reservations are encouraged and a bit of patience, since there isn't a whole lot of staff. The food is absolutely delicious. I personally love their pork dishes and the beef empanada for an appetizer. The moro rice as well as the yellow rice are both so tasty. I prefer the sweet plantains over the tostones, but that's just my preference. And don't forget to indulge in a dessert or maybe a Cuban coffee after your meal. I tend to bring my foodie group here regularly and while they are a picky bunch, I have not heard any complaints about the food here. The prices are still very reasonable and the service friendly.

Edit: ALSO how absurd is it that they tried giving us our Yucca WITHOUT mojo. If youre cuban you…read moreknow you do not eat boiled Yucca without mojo (unless you just dont like it which is crazy) and when we asked if it came with it she said "well i mean.. i can add it on the side for yall" like as if its not the usual/it was an inconvenience. The food was edible. The people serving and making the food are not Cuban and have a really hostile attitude. We were immediately seated and our food came out rather quick (15-20) minutes after placing the order. The lady the entire time was almost rushing us and trying to get us to order more than what we wanted. The food was hot but did not have a fresh/authentic taste coming from a Cuban.. At the end of it we were overall satisfied with our food and were paying when the lady took the paying machine from my husband insisting he tipped %15. He was tipping a custom amount to make the amount even but she said it was usual for people to leave %15. He asked if it was obligation to select the %15 option or if he could put the custom amount he wanted and she said he could put whatever but people usually put %15.. My husband then paid no mind to it because she was just confused probably thinking he was going to pay less than %15 percent. She then grabbed the machine and his card and said "No. Don't. It doesn't matter," had him pay, and stormed back into the kitchen saying "Next time i will put it in there myself." There wont be a next time, at least not from us. I was very disappointed with the service at this restaurant.
