Had a great experience at Werewolf Bar & Restaurant! Morgan, our server, was fantastic--friendly, attentive, and made the experience even better. The prices were reasonable, and the food was delicious. The pancakes were especially good and sweet enough that we didn't even need syrup! One thing to keep in mind is that they add an extra 4.5% fee to the bill called the HOH (Heart of House) fee, which goes toward the upkeep of the establishment. They do say it's voluntary and can be removed, but realistically, who's going to ask to have it taken off? Personally, I'd rather see them raise their menu prices a little instead of adding a separate fee. That said, we really enjoyed our meal and would definitely come back!
It was just okay.. I wouldn't go out of my way to go They are extremely busy for brunch so definitely have a reservation, but the service and food were pretty slow I ordered the biscuits and gravy, fine but wouldn't get it again The constant yelling is also a lot , not the general noise of the restaurant , but the HEY EVERYONE WE WRE GOING TO YELL "blank" ON THE COUNT OF THREE!"
We came here late Sunday night after dropping family off at CBX. We ordered a couple of drinks, burger. Sliders, and potato balls. All were except and delicious. Shout to the grill man. Food was excellent, so for keep asking you for extras from the kitchen. It was that good. Just remember that it is hot this time of the year and get your AC working better. Will be back.
Stopped in today before heading out of San Diego. There was a short wait. There was also ample street parking. The staff was very friendly. The four of us loved the blueberry lemon pancakes. You could smell the lemon as soon as they were on the table and lots of blueberries! My daughter and I each ordered the blue plate. I gave my bacon to my son who seemed to enjoy it. The cheesy eggs with chives are perfection! The potatoes and biscuit are also really good. My husband enjoyed the biscuits and gravy. The place is lively and slightly loud so if you're looking for a quiet place to brunch this isn't it. Overall we enjoyed our food and the aesthetic. We would definitely go back.
Everything about Werewolf is a vibe. The food. The brews and booze. The quintessential Gaslamp crowd. The attentive staff (shoutout to Mo/Morgan). The brunch menu on weekends. It's got it all - including karaoke at nights.
Well, first of all, this is a very cool spot and I kind of got caught in between brunch and lunch so I didn't eat as much as I normally would. But the one word that describes this place is service and Ruby. Every single person had a huge smile on their face and couldn't wait to help. You just don't find that very often, but I found it in the last 24 hours in the gas lamp it quite a few places. The menu here has something for everyone Plus great Beers and a really nice mimosa. I'll be back as soon as I can because I got a ticket for a free mimosa. Thank you, Ruby and Amber. I think also helped love them all.
Came here on a whim hoping for brunch but it was already like 5 mins before 3pm so had to stick with lunch. Nonetheless, our food and drinks was so good. Fiona helped us from start to finish and was just an absolute sweetheart to my mom and I. She asked for our names & how our day was. We ordered steak tacos & breakfast burrito & 2 alcoholic beverages. Steak tacos & burrito--my mom enjoyed her tacos and meat was cooked tender to her liking. shes not a fan of onions & enjoyed the dish very much since there wasnt any in the tacos. my burrito was perfectly made not extremely greasy either & yet full of flavor. potatoes crispy on the inside & they were able to give me a side of sour cream. Drinks- not sure how much alcohol may have been in mine or if any at ALL but regardless it tasted like a tropical vacation in a glass. the whipped cream was a perfect addition. mom got a tiramisu martini and that was SO good i almost wanted hers instead of mine! perfect for brunch if you want a strong coffee lol atmosphere- bar setting but still plenty of seats/tables & of course your bar area. great personalities all around id definitely come back here!
I selected Werewolf due to the yelp rating and number of reviews. It did not disappoint. Our server, Fiona, was very personable learning all customers names. The place was jumping, with a DJ and hip hop music. The food was fantastic, I had the pancake with eggs and subbed meat for avocado. My husband had steak scramble, which was seasoned well. I have to say the bathrooms were wallpapered with comics, a little dark but thought it was cool. Definitely recommend.
Had such a great experience at Werewolf! The food was so good! We had the breakfast burrito, chicken inna biscuit, steak scramble, and the cinnamon roll cakes, and everything was flavorful, fresh, and delicious. The drinks were just as amazing. I had the Blossom Something and the Juicy K, and both were great recommendations from the hostess Jazzy who was also wonderful and made us feel welcomed from the moment we arrived. Our waitress Fiona was amazing and provided excellent customer service throughout our visit. She was attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed. Great food, great drinks, and great service all around. We'll definitely be back!
I've been here twice now, and both visits were before a Padres day game for brunch. Both times the food was absolutely phenomenal. My first visit I ordered the sausage and gravy, and the second time I went with the Cali burrito. They were completely different dishes, but both were fantastic and packed with flavor. The service is what really sets this place apart, though. On both visits our servers were attentive, friendly, and always one step ahead. I especially love that they actually ask for your name and then remember it throughout your meal. It's such a small touch, but it makes you feel genuinely welcome and says a lot about the quality of people they have working there. And I have to mention the tiramisu martini because I ordered it both times and it did not disappoint. It's the perfect brunch cocktail. This has quickly become one of my favorite pre Padres game spots, and I'll definitely keep coming back.
Went for the first time to this Karaoke bar right in the heart of Gaslamp in San Diego. We went on a Saturday night after a Padres game. The bar was very low my with such positive and fun vibes. The bartenders were friendly and knowledgeable. The Karaoke DJ host, Marlene, was amazing. She kept the bar lively and the customers engaged. Food was good too. Had a burger and beer, and both were delicious. Already making plans to go back.
This place is awesome for brunch. Vibe is lit. Drinks are good. Food is good. And it doesn't break the bank. They have a dj during brunch and the music was good. Food was good. Those breakfast balls were EVERYTHING! The bourbon burger was good too! Taylor is a ROCKSTAR and definitely needs a raise and a promotion! He was the dj, the bartender, the waiter, the runner.... I mean he did it all.. and with a smile. This place is definitely the bomb brunch spot and I will definitely be back. The only reason I took a star is because they were understaffed so the food sat for a bit. Other than that, this place is it!,
We stopped in for breakfast before we head to the airport. The staff was so sweet and amazing. The restaurant was half fall when we first got there but completely full including bar seats by the time we left. There were so many choices and we both ended up with BISCUITS AND GRAVY * Scratch made sausage country gravy - two biscuits - cheesy chive scrambled eggs - breakfast potatoes. Huge. Delicious. Wonderful experience overall.

Visited during comic con this year and I think my friends and I are going to make this part of our comic con game plan in years to come. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Stopped in Werewolf on a recommendation from a bartender at another bar. We sat down and were greeted by our waiter Justin & he was an amazing waiter. He introduced himself to all four of us and asked our names. First time I've ever had a waiter do that and it was impressive to say the least. He then called us by name each time he came around to our table. He was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about not only their drinks but gave us variations of other drinks we asked about. Our bartender that day was Mo and she was champion bartender. Every drink was made with care and you could taste each & every ingredient. She made me my first Irish coffee which was probably the best one ever (according to the rest of my party). If you are in SD make sure you stop by and visit this bar. You won't be sorry. read more

Left a review on google when I found this gem a few weeks ago. Took my son and knew we had to come back. Few weeks later took my entire family from the hubs, kids, grandson and son in law and went back again yesterday for the 4th of July. If you're looking for a great, fun, friendly environment this is the place! Let's not forget to mention the customer service is outstanding, everyone is smiling and treats you like a friend not a customer. I will always come back here . This place is wonderful! Our waiters Fiona made us feel right at home. Super personable and kind, we would go back to see her! & the bartender Dylan was great as well, service with a smile. Staff were awesome. Got their attention as soon as we sat down. Burgers were great. As my mom used to say, if you're not wearing it, it wasn't a good burger. The Triple Threat Burger was a mess but delicious and I ate every bite. They have a Beyond burger subscription that my wife took advantage of. Football, good music, great atmosphere. Fun atmosphere with live DJ even for brunch. Ambiance feels like a dive bar in the morning (lots of groups taking breakfast shots). Servers were friendly and personable. Brunch menu was pretty small - I tried the breakfast potato balls and pork belly Benedict. The potato balls were exactly what I imagined - hearty and dense, well seasoned. The pork belly Benedict looked amazing but was taste-wise was pretty disappointing. Specifically, I'm not a fan of how sweet the sauce was on the pork belly. The texture was great though. Such a cool and fun spot to dine in while in San Diego! I had dinner here on a recent trip as this spot was recommended to me. If you are staying in a hotel near Gaslamp quarter you can easily walk to this restaurant. They have some great cocktails, beers and food options. Werewolf is one of those unicorn bars/restaurants that is good every single time you go, no matter how long it's been or how long it's been around. I wrote my last review for this spot in 2015 and honestly, nothing has changed! In a VERY good way!! We stopped in for brunch on a Saturday afternoon and (lucky for us) found a table right away. I ordered a mimosa which of course means I ordered a bottle of champagne and I was delighted at how many juice options I could choose from! I selected a sampling of several since they all sounded so good. For food, I went with my go-to biscuits and gravy and the boyfriend opted for the pork belly benedict. Everything was delicious and was delivered at record speed! Service was like always - just freaking good. They do such a great job hiring staff here. I'm writing this review solely based on their lunch/brunch. I'll need to go back at night and definitely for the karaoke I've been hearing about. The restaurant itself isn't very large but has bar seating as well as small and large tables which was great for our group of 8. The walls are covered in writing from people who have visited the restaurant which I thought was a fun touch. They also had quite a few tvs over the bar playing various sports and appeared to have a good selection on tap. The wait staff here were great, very friendly, helpful and quick (with both service and food delivery). We were in and out in an hour. The food itself was pretty good and our party ordered a variety of items including the waterfront sliders, garlic fries and Cali burrito. As I mentioned, I will be back! read more

Love the location, who doesn't love eating out at the Gaslamp!! I had some pork belly nachos and realize I don't really like that combo but the queso was amazing. This place kind of reminded me of Breakfast Bitch. There are great vibes in here, we came during Comic Con and it was cute to see that the owners/managers let their staff enjoy themselves at work, allowing them to participate and dress up. Not all restaurants were like this, which is sad. You can tell this place is super chill and laid back. We went to the bathroom and someone took our table super quick but we were practically done but was a lil odd. This was my second time at this restaurant for brunch and it never disappoints! These pork belly benedict eggs are perfection. The pork belly is deliciously sweet, the potato cake nice and crispy. It is my go-to order. One of my friends had the cali burrito, which she ultimately didn't enjoy. She said it was bland, and the house sauce wasn't enough to add flavor to it. One of my friends ordered the impossible burger and another the bourbon bacon. Both were really good. The DJ that is there always has the place poppin! It's a really good atmosphere and the servers are always nice. The place is honestly too small for what it is and the wait time is ridiculous. I do appreciate that you can join the wait list on Yelp as you make your way over but the wait time is STILL always ridiculously long. But, i guess its worth the wait. read more

After a long 1st day at SDCC 2023, we found the perfect place for dinner. The burgers were among the best we've had in CA and the CA burrito was also amazing! The place is more of a bar than restaurant so we don't recommend little ones, and there aren't too many tables so we recommend you check in on their waitlist on Yelp. Cheers! read more
I was staying at a hotel in the area and just decided to go and explore for breakfast. I just happened to stumble upon this gem. I had a party of two and they were able to seat us right away. The inside is pretty small, but the vibe was great with a DJ. In just a few minutes a server came by and took our drink order. I got an Irish coffee which I thought was tasty. The staff there were very attentive. A few different servers came by our table constantly for our food orders and refills. The food was good! Fun karaoke bar recommended by a local bartender down the street! We were mainly looking for a place that served food late at night & the food here was a 10/10!!! Just a tad bit pricey especially if you're having to wait & order at the bar yourself & pickup from a window. Other than price, this place was such a cute & fun stop. The Werewolf rocks. It's got it all. The space inside is a little loud, but nearly perfect for hanging out with friends, whether it's just 2 people or probably up to 8. It's lively and interesting. Our server was outstanding, providing frequent but very "light" check-ins. The waterfront sliders were perfect for me, not wanting a very large amount of food. They were substantial, well executed, and a steal at just $10. We also ordered fries which were solid and plentiful. Would certainly recommend the sliders and this restaurant in general. Is it 18+ for karaoke hours?
They do have Karaoke on the weekends that are in the evening after 9pm with the Selling of alcohol that requires persons to be 21 or to be with their family.
Where is the easiest place to park?
Try to park as close as possible to the restaurant. Best parking will be with the closest paid parking lots and meter parking close to the restaurant.
Is this place kid friendly?
Yes, you can take a kid there, I would recommend breakfast or lunch though.

They have a waitlist and take reservations over 10 ppl. Call and ask them. They were very helpful for our party of 8.

Is it celiac friendly?
I'm not saying this place is not celiac friendly, but I am saying, "damn! Your eating our choices/experience is greatly limited!!!" That's crazy man. Good luck. I have no idea if this place is your peoples friendly.

Is this establishment dog friendly?
Last time we visited, we sat at the bar (inside the restaurant) and there was a dog with the party seated next to us. So i assume yes!
