Finding this place wasn't the easiest task. It was a good thing that there was a sign posted, because I thought the restaurant was a post office. We got a table outside and started to decide. The menu was quite minimal, but we were hungry and not too picky. The tri-tip sandwich was chosen by multiple people and it looked pretty good. I got the burger with the fried egg on it. It was cooked perfectly and the flavors from the veggies, egg and burger came together in mouth like a symphony...yeah it was that good. I wanted to get a pic of the burger with a bite out for a visual, but you can go there for yourself. The tots along with the cheese sauce from my kids humongous pretzel was a nice unexpected addition. This place should be on everyone's dining out list. It took a bit for us to find this gem! Large parking lot, which is great for those of us driving small RVs. Lots of patio seating to accommodate dog owners. Great menus, with lots of choices! We opted for Meaty Mary's - a meal unto itself with bacon, lunch meat, olives, celery. Yum. Then we got a bowl of chowder and wings. The wings were great, with Ken's sweet and sour sauce. The chowder was too salty for our taste. We ordered the Werner double- burger to share. It was great, but they wouldn't cook it anything less than medium (no pink). It came with lots of goodies - jalapeños, cheese LTO and avocado and a soft bun. We opted for tots which were also good. Nice venue, great service for an order-at-the-counter place. read more

Always fun to try a new place. This place rocks it! It is semi serve yourself with table service. You get a table first then decide what you want and order at the counter using your table number and they bring it out to you when it is finished. The system seemed to work well and the food and drink were very good. The service was also friendly and efficient. The fare is basic pub grub like sandwiches, burgers, soup etc. They have some specialties as well. Their meat locker looked good and the prices were fair. They also have a pretty nice salad bar so you can make your own. Their beer was good enough and I enjoyed their Trask IPA. We shared a jalapeño burger and a bowl of clam chowder. Both were good though I like my chowder a little less thick but its taste was good. There was a big outdoor area as well so our dog was happy too! read more

The atmosphere of those place was awesome. We loved the look of the building and when we arrived they had a live musician outside which was very cool. They were quite busy but accommodated our group of 6 with an indoor table anyway, which was awesome. After we ordered our food came out quickly. When it came to the food - we weren't as impressed. Husband and I shared a "Queen beef burger," and though the flavor was OK - I felt like it had way too much bbq sauce. It was pretty sweet and the bun was quite soggy as soon as it arrived at the table. I did try the tri tip au jus and, I will say, that was fabulous. All in all - we would likely try this place again to see what their other menu items are like - but would not order that particular burger again. read more

Great spot. Fast, friendly service. Good burgers and fries. Nice selection of beers and ciders. Clean tables, counters and soda machines. They use earth friendly cups and silverware. I'd like to see reusable cups, but Werner seems to be on track in other ways, having paper straws, at least. I feel they'll get there soon enough. The outside area is covered with heaters for the cold season, as well as having a large screen with the games on. Inside has a large screen to watch games as well. Really appreciate Werner's for being one of the only places to eat around Tillamook. Asked a local for food recommendations and she replied, "I really can't recommend anything, there's not much going on around here." Glad google pointed me to Werner's after a long and grumpy day. Had a Tilly burger and a cup of chowder. Both hit the spot and prices were good. (You should skip Pelican.) I would come back if I ever get kidnapped and brought back to Tillamook. read more

When we travel, we usually stay in smaller towns, and I've discovered that Yelp restaurant reviews for small towns can be somewhat unreliable. That said, this place is *fantastic.* The building is way back off the street, right next to a cinder block industrial building. We thought we had to be in the wrong place and decided to forego it, but then changed our minds and drove back. I'm so glad we did! The six members of my family each ordered different things, and every one was amazing. The French dip (made with tri-tip) and the bbq tri-tip sandwiches were my favorite. The restaurant space is comfortable and lightly modern-industrial, and service was excellent. We would go back every week if we lived near Tillamook! read more

Once in a while one has an experience that restores ones hope for mankind. I am going to try and make this short, It was Monday and I had been on the road from Portland and looking forward to a bowl of Chowder and a beer at Werner's. Wrong. I was informed that they are closed on Mondays. Dejected, I made my way back to my camper and as I was pulling out of the parking lot I was approached by a friendly gentleman. He asked if I had driven all this way for chowder and apologized for the inconvenience. But said to wait and he was see if he could get some from the cooler from last night. Cool. He returned with the disappointment of being sold out last night. I thanked him and began to leave as he suggest I wait and he might find a gift certificate. After a brief wait he returned again indicating that they had run out.. I thanked him again and pulled out. Wait‼. I stopped and he handed me a $10 bill and asked I stop by on my way home. He wanted me to have a bowl on the house. I thank him and introduced myself. He was Mr. Werner the owner. WOW. Stopped in here for a snack while in Tillamook. There is both indoor and outdoor seating available. We had the Colossal Pretzel and cheese. It was very good. The cheese has peppers in it, it's not spicy in my opinion, but if you are shy about spice proceed with caution. The cheese does seem to be of the artificial cheese variety. The pretzel would have probably been better a beer cheese or something like that. I had the Backroad Blonde beer and my boyfriend had the Hazy Pale Ale, both were good. Good service. Hidden gem. Worth a stop if your on the coast. We the burger has a real "meaty" taste. Defiantly can taste its quality beef. The beer is good as well. Deli style ordering and service made this quick and easy, especially during COVID. The potato salad was spectacular. Chunks of potato and light on relish and onion taste. This was certainly an interesting little slightly hidden restaurant. It was unclear for the first 5 minutes or so when we were sat at our table and given menus whether or not we would have someone serving us. It turns out that you pretty much treat it similarly to like a beer garden or food truck pod where you order at the center of the restaurant and pick out drinks from a cooler. Only then will you progress in the process of eating a meal. This was a bit unusual because neither of the "hostesses" let us know what to do. No big deal in the grander scheme, though. In combination with the fact that this restaurant looks rather to be more of an industrial park from the outside, it was a peculiar beginning. On to the main chunk of this here review. The tri-trip sandwiches were both very good. My wife had the sandwich with bbq on it and I had the French dip and they were both wonderful! My son has his favorite meal of Biscuits and Gravy and he loved them. My daughter even liked her chicken nuggets, which is not automatic. If this place could've made it clear from the beginning what we were expected to do with the order process, this would be 5 stars. What a great place! Had lunch with our daughter when we were visiting the area. All of us ordered something different and everyone loved their meal. I had the French Dip sandwich (added onions) and my mouth still waters thinking about it. Wait staff was friendly. The atmosphere was laid back in an industrial area of Tillamook, Oregon. The food was fresh, delicious and full of flavor. The fries were crispy and tasty with out the overly oily feeling. With what we ordered was the right amount of food to leave you satisfied when you left. Come for the burgers and sandwiches. Don't come for their beer. Large portions of tri tip on their french dip, very good/crispy tater tots. During Covid dining was on the patio only with take out boxes and individual portions of condiments. Their beer pretty much sucks. In 1990 it would have been average, these days- boring. Decent, nice, servers and nice surroundings outside. Hard to find location, if you don't see their sign on 3rd, your going to be driving around in circles. read more
