I came here twice. The first time we walked around to look at the animals they had in the back/side area and see what they carried so I could plan on what to buy in the coming months. It's not a very big store and there's only like two parking spaces plus a handicapped spot. I had to wait for assistance and even when I did get to talk to someone, I felt like he was not very interested in helping and was too busy looking at his phone. When another lady walked in he helped her right away and was very friendly to her. I think maybe she was a return customer. But I didn't get a good vibe and didn't feel very welcomed. Still, I came back a second time. This time I was a more informed shopper and had gone to another place already. So now was my time to comparison shop. Their prices on the chicken feeders, ceramic egss, meal worms are all too pricey. I found them somewhere else, also local, for less! I can also fine chicken feed for less elsewhere. And this time, the same salesperson did answer some questions and smiled. But he still appeared a little disinterested in gaining my business. So, I won't be shopping here even though it's a lot closer to me than another feed store. read more

I got 10 of my birds from here, and I just keep going back for more! Sometimes you can find a gem or two, like my Silkie doves. I also got a lovable and super friendly pigeon that does tumbles in the air and likes to show off! When ever I go in to get bird seed I have to wander the store to see what other treasures I can find! Wes's often has bunnies, baby chicks, hens, roosters, pigeons, parakeets, and various other types of birds. I have even had a partridge chucker from them. Unfortunately she is no longer with us, but was a pleasure to have and experience none-the-less. The customer service is wonderful as well. I was looking to add canaries to my flock and the gentleman took down my name and number and said he would call me if he could get some. In no time at all I became the proud owner of a lovely, chubby, red female and a bright yellow, sweet singing, male canary. I am happy to say that the female has been nesting for almost a week now, and we hope to hear some small little peeps very soon! I went to Wes and was greeted by a nice young gentleman, Devin (spelling???). He was knowledgeable, friendly, and informative. On top of that, he was VERY honest. I asked if he sells mealworms. He said that, his mealworm is higher priced than other places, to the point where he can't mark up the price to a healthy profit. He advised me to get it from other place who sells mealworms for cheap. I liked him immediately. He also took time to explain the differences on each chicken feed. The week after, I came back because I ran out of my feeds. He remembered me! I will keep coming and support this small business!!
