    Americano and gimlet

The service was great and the food was delicious. We went for happy hour . They have a great HH menu. We got 4 cocktails (2 gimlets, a greyhound, an Americano), duck fat fries, wedge salad, meatballs (we opted for just the meatballs instead of the meatballs with spaghetti so we could eat more), and then the braised octopus (which was perfectly tender on the inside and charbroiled on the outside) on very tasty cream corn w a side of arugula salad. The portions were generous.

A nice girls night here. That good ol Tacoma parking is a bitch. Once you're parked, you're good. The hostess was very nice and very attentive. She even provided us with recommendations on the menu. This lil spot in Tacoma, across from the matador is so cute. Honestly would've missed it driving by. Once you enter, it's very inviting. Has a nice chill ambiance to the place. Food was super delish. A tad on the higher priced side but totally yummy. My pork chop was HUGE!! Thick but well cooked! So much flavor through and through. Them zoodles my friend ordered was fabulous. Zero sogginess and the sauce was pretty damn good. I really like this spot. New addition to my GO-TO spots in Tacoma.

Went here with some friends to celebrate a birthday. A relatively new spot that was a Tiki bar in a previous life awhile back. The Diggs: the updates are well done with a nice look that is modern but not overdone. A good clean look. Pleasant from entrance to dining to restrooms Food: mixed bill. The brussel sprout appetizer was one of the best things I've eaten in a while. Savory but a slight sweet hint of honey although just a wine reduction. I would still be eating these if I could. Wedge salad is a meal or splittable. Classic and tasty although I wish the blue cheese was a bit stronger. Most of party enjoyed their meals. I had the pork chops with mashed potatoes and broccolini. Good seasoning but sadly overcooked and potatoes way too sweet. A disappointment Libations: every cocktail was excellent. Pretty good wine selection by glass or bottle as well. I had their version of French 75 and was exceptional. Great start to my dinner. Price. Reasonable for what would expect for a nicer restaurant. Even with my pork misadventure I'd come back for another try as rest of experience was enjoyable

The front entrance looks nice, but we were seated in the back and it lacked any ambience. It was just plain tables, no artwork. The brussels sprouts were the only highlight, and even those were just okay. The zoodles and steak were underwhelming, we only ate half. When I asked about drinks, the server said they didn't have strawberry purée. For a bar, it felt surprising to have such limited flavor options, especially for sweeter drinks. They couldn't make a strawberry margarita or peach bellini. Overall, between the lack of atmosphere and very limited menu and drink options, it just didn't hit the mark.

Amazing food in a gorgeous atmosphere with great staff that genuinely care about you!! I ordered the beet salad, Mac N Cheese, Crab Cakes, with a Tiramisu and Young & Beautiful cocktail. Everything was phenomenal and FRESH!! Beet Salad was impeccable with perfectly candies walnuts that weren't too sweet or too sticky! The goat cheese was a solid flavor but not overpowering the beets with a mild, refreshing earthy flavor! Mac N Cheese was excellent, the cavatappi noodles were cooked perfectly Al Dente, with a modicum amount of chew, and the Mornay sauce was velvety and clearly made from scratch from a roux! The crab cakes were LOADED with crab and the old bay rolemoulade wasn't overly salty and slightly spicy! The crab cakes were NOT overly coated with a nice this crispy batter! The Tiramisu was awesome, a solid coffee flavor that isn't overbearing and the mascarpone cream was delightful thick and creamy, delicious! The young and beautiful drink was equal parts sweet and tangy with an excellent fizzy pop reminiscent of soda but not overly sweet. I will be back!!!

I have gone to Tacoma while my kid has been in school there and have really enjoyed trying many of the restaurants. I didn't know about West 122 until this last visit. It was walking distance from the McMenimims Elks Temple (tho there is a hill...) on a somewhat lively street with a few bars and restaurants. Lovely decor/ambiance. Very cozy as a storm was coming in. I was alone and sat at the bar and bless that bartender for letting me yammer. His take on the Manhattan was really delicious and different enough, but not over the top. I had two! Great happy hour appetizers: Mac and cheese was excellent, loved the meatballs and the cauliflower made me feel "healthy." I'd go back. Extra points for treating a solo diner with care and respect.

I found this place through a tik tok link actually that my Mom sent to me. I was def interested and the hubby and I checked this place out. The service provided by David was top notch! The food was INCREDIBLE! We got to savor the schnitzel and it was delish. My hubby is German and I asked him how close is this to what he grew up with? Pretty close were his words. We enjoyed this dish, a couple aperols and I had a dilly dally cocktail which was very good if ya like drinks a lil stronger. For dessert we had the apple pudding cake which was quite fine too. Plus we took home enough for another meal as the portions are generous. Two thumbs up! A great place for a delicious meal with outstanding service, thanks!

I'll say from the onset that the meatballs and crispy brussel sprouts we had are in the running of the best I've ever had. Service was excellent. Our waiter (didn't get his name) was a professional who knew the menu inside and out. We'll be back.

Such a cool 70s vibe! I loved all the decor and the ambience! My large group took a seat in the back near the swordfish and fireplace, which I loved!! I had a lemon drop, which was absolutely perfect. My only complaint came by the request of my two friends who are steadfast, "old-fashioned" drinkers. Their old fashions had some type of red flowers sprinkled in the drink. Every time they took a sip, they complained! I eventually went up to the bar at the end and they told us it was Bergamont! So perhaps if you'd like to stick to the classic, ask to skip the Bergamont- as it has a very strange texture when you're drinking the drink. Overall, really, really cool place!

At first glance it appears super tiny, but the bar goes back pretty far and is a good size. We got there before the nighttime crowds and managed to score the cozy couch in front of the fireplace in the back. It filled up quickly after that, though! The mood is moody and cozy, the perfect spot for making this apart of date night. I can't speak much to the food as we did not order any, but the menu is pretty elevated for a bar. I wouldn't say this place is divey at all, but the menu was still surprising. Service was good and they had a great selection of drinks. I got a hazy IPA (as per usual) and it was delicious! We also got a couple of shots here and absolutely adored the shot glasses they use. They look like tiny cocktail glasses! Overall we thought Holy Moly was a vibe and we will definitely include this in our 6th Ave rotation.

The food is my favorite part. I can have a beer anywhere, but the food is actually pretty on point minus the nachos, sad to say. Always overcooked, cheese is hardened and well beyond melted, but a massive portion in size. The sandwiches are amazing, the quesadillas are amazing, have yet to make it there before breakfast ends but I'm betting it's probably pretty good. Staff are friendly, efficient, and do well on checking to make sure you're not waiting too long for service without being too bothersome. It gets a little loud, busy and crowded on nights especially on the weekends, but that's typical bar atmosphere. Patio seating is nice on sunny days like today. 5/5 for a hometown spot in the neighborhood.

We do love pinball, but we might have come along this place randomly. It's been busy the few times we have been, which tend to be weekend afternoons. Lot of machines available, seems like frequent tournaments are going on. According to pinball map they have 24 machines, which is pretty large compared to some places. Not so busy you can't play though, prices are comparable. It doesn't seem too claustrophobic like some places, lots of space to move around. Full bar and friendly service. Places to sit. Definitely check this out if you like pinball. I don't think they have food, but I could be wrong.

To the layman it may seem like just a dark "pirate" or "tiki bar", but the focus is really more centered around Lovecraftian and cosmic horror - not something you see you often but very much appreciated among those who are familiar. The menu is accessed by QR codes on the table. They have an *extremely* long list of cocktails, all named appropriately with the theming, but somewhat lacking in variety. Most of the cocktails are some combination of rum, spices, lime/lemon, and maybe something else fruity or sweet. My wife had a Ships from Far Shores while I enjoyed an Astro Orbiter. Their menu has an indicator of how strong each drink is, and it doesn't lie. The Astro Orbiter tasted great but was indeed quite strong. The staff were extremely polite and a pleasure to talk to. Unfortunately their kitchen was closed the evening we went, so we weren't able to grab any food, but hopefully we'll to try some the next time we stop by.
