A nice girls night here. That good ol Tacoma parking is a bitch. Once you're parked, you're good. The hostess was very nice and very attentive. She even provided us with recommendations on the menu. This lil spot in Tacoma, across from the matador is so cute. Honestly would've missed it driving by. Once you enter, it's very inviting. Has a nice chill ambiance to the place. Food was super delish. A tad on the higher priced side but totally yummy. My pork chop was HUGE!! Thick but well cooked! So much flavor through and through. Them zoodles my friend ordered was fabulous. Zero sogginess and the sauce was pretty damn good. I really like this spot. New addition to my GO-TO spots in Tacoma.

The service was great and the food was delicious. We went for happy hour . They have a great HH menu. We got 4 cocktails (2 gimlets, a greyhound, an Americano), duck fat fries, wedge salad, meatballs (we opted for just the meatballs instead of the meatballs with spaghetti so we could eat more), and then the braised octopus (which was perfectly tender on the inside and charbroiled on the outside) on very tasty cream corn w a side of arugula salad. The portions were generous.

Went here with some friends to celebrate a birthday. A relatively new spot that was a Tiki bar in a previous life awhile back. The Diggs: the updates are well done with a nice look that is modern but not overdone. A good clean look. Pleasant from entrance to dining to restrooms Food: mixed bill. The brussel sprout appetizer was one of the best things I've eaten in a while. Savory but a slight sweet hint of honey although just a wine reduction. I would still be eating these if I could. Wedge salad is a meal or splittable. Classic and tasty although I wish the blue cheese was a bit stronger. Most of party enjoyed their meals. I had the pork chops with mashed potatoes and broccolini. Good seasoning but sadly overcooked and potatoes way too sweet. A disappointment Libations: every cocktail was excellent. Pretty good wine selection by glass or bottle as well. I had their version of French 75 and was exceptional. Great start to my dinner. Price. Reasonable for what would expect for a nicer restaurant. Even with my pork misadventure I'd come back for another try as rest of experience was enjoyable

The front entrance looks nice, but we were seated in the back and it lacked any ambience. It was just plain tables, no artwork. The brussels sprouts were the only highlight, and even those were just okay. The zoodles and steak were underwhelming, we only ate half. When I asked about drinks, the server said they didn't have strawberry purée. For a bar, it felt surprising to have such limited flavor options, especially for sweeter drinks. They couldn't make a strawberry margarita or peach bellini. Overall, between the lack of atmosphere and very limited menu and drink options, it just didn't hit the mark.

Amazing food in a gorgeous atmosphere with great staff that genuinely care about you!! I ordered the beet salad, Mac N Cheese, Crab Cakes, with a Tiramisu and Young & Beautiful cocktail. Everything was phenomenal and FRESH!! Beet Salad was impeccable with perfectly candies walnuts that weren't too sweet or too sticky! The goat cheese was a solid flavor but not overpowering the beets with a mild, refreshing earthy flavor! Mac N Cheese was excellent, the cavatappi noodles were cooked perfectly Al Dente, with a modicum amount of chew, and the Mornay sauce was velvety and clearly made from scratch from a roux! The crab cakes were LOADED with crab and the old bay rolemoulade wasn't overly salty and slightly spicy! The crab cakes were NOT overly coated with a nice this crispy batter! The Tiramisu was awesome, a solid coffee flavor that isn't overbearing and the mascarpone cream was delightful thick and creamy, delicious! The young and beautiful drink was equal parts sweet and tangy with an excellent fizzy pop reminiscent of soda but not overly sweet. I will be back!!!

I have gone to Tacoma while my kid has been in school there and have really enjoyed trying many of the restaurants. I didn't know about West 122 until this last visit. It was walking distance from the McMenimims Elks Temple (tho there is a hill...) on a somewhat lively street with a few bars and restaurants. Lovely decor/ambiance. Very cozy as a storm was coming in. I was alone and sat at the bar and bless that bartender for letting me yammer. His take on the Manhattan was really delicious and different enough, but not over the top. I had two! Great happy hour appetizers: Mac and cheese was excellent, loved the meatballs and the cauliflower made me feel "healthy." I'd go back. Extra points for treating a solo diner with care and respect.

I found this place through a tik tok link actually that my Mom sent to me. I was def interested and the hubby and I checked this place out. The service provided by David was top notch! The food was INCREDIBLE! We got to savor the schnitzel and it was delish. My hubby is German and I asked him how close is this to what he grew up with? Pretty close were his words. We enjoyed this dish, a couple aperols and I had a dilly dally cocktail which was very good if ya like drinks a lil stronger. For dessert we had the apple pudding cake which was quite fine too. Plus we took home enough for another meal as the portions are generous. Two thumbs up! A great place for a delicious meal with outstanding service, thanks!

I'll say from the onset that the meatballs and crispy brussel sprouts we had are in the running of the best I've ever had. Service was excellent. Our waiter (didn't get his name) was a professional who knew the menu inside and out. We'll be back.

We were so excited to try this place after reading the reviews. We were, unfortunately, so disappointed! The food was subpar. The steak was tough and didn't even come with a vegetable! Server said it came with bernaise sauce...it didn't. Hubby's chicken was just ok, seemed dry without much flavor. Our friend's pork chop was huge, but he said it wasn't very good, For the price, it didn't live up to the expectation.

This is the rotating steak I believe so tender so so good flavorful and that wine sauce on the steak impeccable

We were quickly seated for our reservation, and our server was friendly & attentive. We started off with a delectable appetizer special of burrata with heirloom tomatoes, pesto and olive tapenade. The tangy tapenade really complimented the creamy burrata. We were also served the softest french bread, which sopped up the pesto so nicely. We were lucky enough to get a bite of all 4 dinner entrees on the table. I ordered one of the daily specials, the Saltimbocca. The chicken/prosciutto combo was so flavorful in the white wine sauce. The portion was plentiful, I could have taken a doggy bag, but devoured it bite by bite. I was thankful to have made this choice - score! Hubs ordered the Diavola pizza, with crisp pepperoni and pickled serranos. Either the serranos or red pepper sauce gave it quite the kick, not overly, but deliciously. It was perfectly crispy! Family ordered Carbonara and the lamb ragu. Both great portions, very flavorful! Our dinners came with a salad, which was a perfectly lightly dressed compliment to the appetizer and mains. We drove quite awhile in 5:00 traffic to get here, but it was well worth it. We savoured every bite!

Preschooler was asleep in my arms, but we made it work. We ordered: 1 rose cider (sweet but not too sweet), 1 pulpo (grilled octopus!) starter, 1 boscaiola pasta for the preschooler (boxed leftovers), 1 spring ravioli (more Italian name), and 1 rabbit with polenta entree. Each main came with salad and meal started with bread and whipped butter. We were offered a kid menu option of pasta with alfredo, marinara, or bolognese sauce, but opted for normal menu so we could bring back leftovers. We loved the pulpo and the salads (they offered to box up the preschoolers salad since she was still sleeping). Kid enjoyed the bread. Bit of a wait for mains but nothing out of the ordinary. All the dishes we ordered were delicious. Boscaiola was a hit with the kiddo since she loves pasta and sauce and mushrooms and cheese. Husband thought his main was really good. I was so full after eating all of my ravioli. Really impressed with the quality of food and the level of service. A busy place, but as mentioned, we were luckily seated right away. We're thrilled to have finally made it here after our old Italian standby in proctor shutdown and we can't wait to come back! Definitely recommend. Parking: you can find it, not plentiful but not bad either. Kid friendly: sort of! If your kid likes pizza or pasta!

We called the day of, and they were booked out until 7:45. Which makes sense considering how small the restaurant is. I'll start off by saying that the food was the highlight of the night for sure. But, the service wasn't the best from what I've heard from others. We ordered a bottle of wine, which took about 10-15 minutes to be served to us after the order was taken. Then when we were putting our appetizer order in, the server told us to wait while he handled something else. But, I've heard from close friends that the service is amazing, so maybe it was just an off-night for them. Anywho, we ordered the arancini, arugula and Gorgonzola salad, and the caprese. My favorite was the caprese. The tomato's were nice and juicy and tasted amazingly fresh. Mozzarella and basil also delicious. It was a nice refreshing appetizer. The arancini is a pretty heavy dish which makes sense since it's risotto stuffed with bolognese and cheese. I wish it was hotter, but the flavors were yummy. I ordered the bucatini that was on their specials menu. It was served with a sauce similar to Alfredo but a lot lighter than I expected. It also came with zucchini, mushrooms, and a prosciutto-like meat. It was my first time trying bucatini, and I was definitely not disappointed by it! They had great specials that night, so we were very fortunate to have caught them serving these dishes. We finished the night off with tiramisu, and it was delicious. Overall, I would definitely come back and hope for better service. But the food is something I would come back to regardless.

Had initially requested to sit inside, totally forgetting about the no A/C and my friend who has never been here requested to sit outside. But the server became short with us and was less than pleasant but had intially agreed to take us outside. So it was a confusing situation. Not even a chicken ceaser. Only one pasta dish if I remember correctly. We really had a great time and would visit again especially for a special occasion. Check process took quite awhile but the view made it easy to hang back. Oh, and make sure you book around sunset if you can.

What an evening, what a meal…read more We're in the middle of doing a clean out and selling of our house, and our friends reached out to us for a nice dinner out. We chose Gino's as we wanted a dining experience, with an amazing view. It was a beautiful evening at dash point, weather was perfect, it would've been beautiful to sit outside. We've got a bit of smoke in the air, so that prevented that. Our server was at our table very quickly, offering to bring us beverages, water, etc. She was very engaging, and friendly. I did not get her name, so I'm not able to put it here. We all chose something different, with the seafood risotto, scallops with crab stuffed ravioli, pear ravioli, and I had the wedge salad with grilled shrimp. Every dish was perfectly prepared, very hot when it came out of the kitchen, very enjoyable. It has to be the best meal we've had in a long time. If it weren't for the drive from our house, to our friends house, to Gino's, we would be there a lot more often. Thank you for making it such a special evening and relaxing for us.
