First star because it's a bar decorated like a diner and I'm not sure if it's supposed to be a lunch place or bar a d the seating area looks uncomfortable avd eThe second star is for ordering a dirty Grey Goose martini and asking for more olive juice, and bartender straight up, squirted a plastic bottle of olive juice in my drink absolutely ruining it. $12 for a top shelf martini and service like that is just stupid or classless. We had read reviews about this restaurant so decided to try it. We went inside & the server at the register said to wait to be seated. Then she got busy & ignored us for about 10 minutes so we left without ever being seated. Too bad I was looking forward to trying their food. We had the pleasure of dining at West & Main in Warren on a Saturday evening. We're from out of town for a show, so I did some research (Yelp, of course!) and was steered in the right direction! On a busy evening, reservations are necessary, though we did see some folks who appeared to be 'regulars' sit at the bar. Others were turned away. Honestly, the there could be some improvements to the service (it took awhile to get our drinks, and the food came pretty much all at once), though when the food is that good, I'll take it in any order. The menu isn't huge, which I love---don't try to do too much! This is a great-and I believe Woman-owned business --kudos to your hard work! The poutine was awesome-nice center to the egg-beef was tender and melted in your mouth. The beet salad was delicious , with just the right amount of dressing, pistachios and cheese. The Blackened Shrimp Tacos were tasty, with a nice balance of flavors-the shrimp was cooked to perfection! We also had the pleasure of listening to the musician who played, starting around 6:30. One guy-played bass and sang (apologies, I didn't get his name!.) Not too loud. I saw noise as a complaint on other reviews and do not enjoy an overly noisy place myself. This was by far the best meal we have had locally in quite sometime. What a great meal - from start to finish. We ate early for a Saturday (around 5:30pm) so there was no waiting for a table. Our greeter was very friendly and our server was with us in moments to take our drink menu as well as share drink specials with us. We started with the Waffle Mozzarella. It is truly the size of a regular waffle and it is NOT swimming in breading. This is a huge plus for us. The four of us shared one and while we probably could have done two for the table it was just enough to be a small bite before our main courses. For mains my husband had a build your own burger, they will ask you cooked with or without pink. He's a with pink! The burger comes with lettuce tomato and onion and you can add two additional toppings at no charge. Any toppings after that are JUST $0.75! He had Bacon , Bacon Jam, and smoked Gouda with a fried egg. My daughter had Poutine from the small plates selection. It was large enough not only for her meal but she took home leftovers! Do not think this is a skimpy portion - it's an excellent size bowl of crispy fries loaded with pulled pork (from their breaded short ribs) the most wonderful brown gravy, and it has plenty of cheese curds! Oh it also has a fried egg which she loves! She did ask for no peppers on hers. I had the catfish and burnt end grits. Omg so good! I wish they had the grits as a side! I could eat them with anything they are just so good! The catfish was good - a little more fishy than I like but still flaky and cooked well. My sister had an order of fries and a side of Mac and cheese. This was the only hiccup in our meal. We did not ask what kind of Mac and cheese it was and turned out it is made with Gouda and she does not care for Gouda! We took it home and she opted for a second mozzarella waffle for her meal! We all agreed West and Main is going to be a go to place for our family. The meal was just really excellent and the atmosphere is outstanding. It's not overly loud so you can have a conversation with one another. Their bar selection looks great if you want to have a nice drink with your meal. I highly recommend it. read more

We stumbled upon this place while in Warren to look at glass samples and were all very pleased with our experience. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, cozy, the type of place you go and the staff knows your name. Our server was very friendly and attentive. I had a burger with smoked Gouda and avocado, broccolini on the side. My husband and mother-in-law had the hot chicken sandwich which was very good. My son had chicken fingers and broccolini. These folks know how to put a menu together and how to cook- there is something for everyone. The kitchen does a great job with prep & execution. It is a small place, to better ensure quality and proper attention- best to make reservations. The staff was friendly, attentive, accommodating and not at all overbearing. They were there when you needed them and made no fuss over special requests. We had the schnitzel, poutine and shrimp & grits. Wow! on all 3. Pretentious menu poorly executed. Three separate people greeted us by informing us that they were sold out of wings; evidently the bar food is more sought after than the menu items. The noise level was unpleasant. After noticing how long the entrees seemed to sit in the window, I did a time check. Some poor diner's entree waited a full 10 minutes to be picked up. One would think a place posing as fine dining could handle basic items, but you'd be wrong. One of us ordered a full entree. The server immediately noticed that a side was missing, yet it was not put up for pickup until the meal was almost complete. The braised short rib sliders were too tough to bite through; they had to be scraped off the bun and needed much sawing with a knife. The onion rings tasted as if they were off-brand frozen. Although we were offered dessert, we paid up and went to Mocha House for pie. Our server is the only reason for the second star. She was beyond excellent, with the extra care and thoughtfulness one would expect at a much better restaurant. read more

Been here several times. Dozens actually. All the food is great, but the Nashville hot chicken is the best I have ever had. I get it quite often. Good happy hour. Great brunch menu as well. I order the garlic parmesan whole wings the presentation was beautiful but once I broke the chicken wing apart to eat but started gushing out out..when the waitress finally came to ask me how was everything (I guess after she seen me push my plate away) I told and showed her the blood ..she said ewww .I then told her I did not want it. NO ONE apologized..you would think they would not want a customer to leave without at least trying to make it right usually a manager comes and acknowledge the issue..nope nothing instead the waitress brings me the check which they tried to charge me for macaroni and chez which I told the waitress I did not want also so as she acts surprised it offended that I didn't want to eat any food that was not cooked properly she brings me back a bill for $2.40 for a flat pepsi that I only took a sip of before asking for water...but the point is. Went down to Taste of Warren, which is a nice event, stopped by here as its relatively new. Nice atmosphere, staff was pleasant. Simple order, as it was a casual Saturday lunch. Salad for the wife, a burger for me. I ordered my burger medium (coined "pink", LOL) and it arrived veerrrry well done. I shoulda said something.... but, oh well. Wasn't bad, considering. We stopped in to West & Main after a meeting which ran very late. It was a dark nasty night storming and raining. We were fortunate enough to find a spot close to the door, so we were not too sopping wet. We were greeted immediately upon entering, and taken to a table. It wasn't super busy at the time we were there just a few folks at the bar, and one other couple at a table. The waitress was super warm and friendly. She was very attentive throughout our meal. I had a salad with added shrimp, and my husband had the shrimp tacos. Both were very delicious. We also shared a fall sangria that was a special creation for a limited time. We both really enjoyed it as well. We were surprised to enjoy some live music while we were there at the end of our meal. It was surprisingly very good! We stayed a few minutes longer to enjoy a few songs. The only thing we would change would be to have some booths. We are booth people, and they only had tables and chairs. read more

It was busy because of the Robbins theatre opening but we weren't in a hurry. Sat at the bar first, service was great, bartender who we knew from Barrel33 was knowledgeable and made us great specialty drinks and also told us a lot about the menu. Once our table was ready it went down hill. The server couldn't answer any questions about wine or beer let alone the menu. Food took forever which we expected but it was all wrong. They offered to redo it but that was it. The "manager" never came over to speak to us, just sat at the bar looking pissed at the world.
