What can I say but fresh and delicious! Everything was prepared perfectly. Our server was friendly, nice and professional. The fish market part of the restaurant is an amazing place to pick up super fresh seafood.

This is what my seafood plate with this pile off oil soaked onion rings! Disgusting!

I've been here many times, the clam chowder is delicious!! I had weight loss surgery 3 years ago and I can't eat much, I tried the 2 homemade lump crab cakes and they were good.. over the years I've had the haddock and fries.

F'en awesome! This food was better than some chow I have eaten in Maine, Salem, Ipswich, and Newburyport. No! Really! The whole belly clams--not chewy. The scallops--sweet, juicy, plump. I have had both the clam chowdah and the lobster bisque. Both were liquid gold. Is seafood expensive? Yes. You might as well spend your money on GOOD seafood.

The Seafood you get here is the best you will find at any chain grocer. Another savings tip - if you spend so much money on Gladware or other "throw away" tupperware this needs to be a next stop for you. Big Y actually has their own store brand of this tupperware and its just as good, doesn't warp in the dishwasher and they are actually stain resistant. The huge containers are only $4 for a set! They also usually have buy 2 get 1 or some great deal like that all the time. They often do have BOGO or Buy one get 2 or buy 3 get 2 .. you get the idea... but all over the store! Gets very busy on Saturday mornings and of course before snow storms. I still don't quite understand the coin system much but I know when I do use them on applicable items I end up with a tiny biill. If you aren't going to sign up for the store card ($5 annually I beleive) then don't bother shopping at Big Y unless you love to pay more for groceries. Every time they scan my card my bill goes down at least $20. Quality of the produce, meat, and seafood is the best for any chain. The variety can be a little reserved on regular grocery items but I've found that the store brand of what they have is just as good if not better than name brand. I especially like this location because its in a plaza and I can maximize shopping days by visiting any other places I need to while I grocery shop. The store made pizza is better than most local shops!! Recommendation: Shop hungry. Get there, order a pizza from the pizza counter, do your gluttonous shopping, go get the pizza, enjoy a slice in the cafe area across from produce, grab a bottle of wine in the adjacent section, and head on home to finish that bad boy of a pizza....maybe your should order 2 if you have hungry fam waiting at home.

Some prices could be more competitive; however, Amazon Prime members receive sale pricing on select items, and using the Amazon credit card earns 5% back on the entire purchase, which helps offset the premium. The self-checkout lanes work very well, and I almost always use them. There's consistently a staff member nearby to assist if needed. The traditional checkout lanes are less impressive--lines can get long, and there often aren't enough baggers during busy periods. Prepared food quality is mixed. The sushi is quite good, as are the rotisserie chickens, but some of the other prepared foods have been underwhelming. The store has a second-floor dining area, accessible by a long stairway or elevator. While the seating area is nice, it's not especially convenient if you've started your shopping and then get hungry, I don't think you can bring your cart upstairs and it's unclear where to leave a cart. For that reason, I'd likely eat first and shop afterward. By comparison, Wegmans handles this better, with dining areas on the first floor and plenty of space to bring your cart along. Wegmans also offers a noticeably stronger prepared foods selection overall. That said, I still like Whole Foods and use them regularly--for delivery (very good), pickup (also good), and in-store shopping.

When are they busy you ask? Any Friday during Lent is bonkers. One lady complained she was waiting over an hour after she ordered. Another customer explained it's Lent that's why it's busy. She was perplexed at how that should impact her as she does not observe Lent. Witness ordered at 3pm and asked for it to be ready at 5:30. Being late and arriving at 5:42 some thermal loss was to be anticipated. The food was in fact ready and very hot. Impressive. Witness was in and out in under 5 minutes. Flying solo, only one item was ordered, fried shrimp plate. There were plenty of fries and shrimp. So much so that the to go box had to be taped shut. Both the fries and the shrimp had a similar taste that was imparted by the oil. Not a bad taste, just unexpected and distracting. The shrimp had another flavor in the batter that was unexpected, familiar, and unwelcome. As it turns out, the shrimp appear to have been coated in mustard aioli before being breaded. While this kept the shrimp super moist, the mustard flavor is very unexpected and Witness could not get past the wild juxtaposition. The provided cocktail sauce was over run with hot sauce. The star is meant to be the horse radish but this one is about Tabasco. The spicy factor switched all the way to the smack you in the face flavor and added a watery consistency and creating a thin condiment. Last having been here 6-7 years ago, this repeat business has been a long time coming. Unfortunately, Witness will need to move on to another shop this Lent.

I like to consider myself pretty knowledgable about pizza in the area but apparently I somehow missed this place until the other day. A pizza place I haven't tried in my area is blasphemous so we were left with no choice but to experience with Brattle Stop has to offer. We needed enough data to form an accurate opinion so we tried to order from most corners of the menu. We ordered a large cheese pizza, curly fries (extra brownie points for even having curly fries), broccoli bites, eggplant pasta, salad, and baklava. The cheese pizza was better than I'm used to in this area but by no means excellent pizza. The crust held its shape without too much sog and the sauce had a nice flavor. I would say, if I was looking for some good pizza, ordering in central massachusetts, this would be one of the finalists on my list. The curly fries were also very good but by the time we got to them, could definitely have used some time in the air fryer. The eggplant pasta was by no means high end italian cuisine but for take out pizza shop pasta, it was decent. The ingredients in the salad were fresh, which is the most important aspect of a salad for me. Idk if I just wasn't feeling it that day or it wasn't particularly tasty but I couldn't finish it and had no desire to have leftovers. The broccoli bites were not my favorite and I would not order these again. I will give the leftovers in my fridge another chance, however, for what it's worth. The baklava was absolutely soaking in syrup and DIVINE. I wish they had provided a larger piece. This is an ok, middle of the pack, on par pizza spot in the area.
