This was my go to cigar place pre COVID. Since then, they did not have a great selection in the humidor and noticed a significant drop in customers. Fast forward to today... I believe this was their first event of the year under new ownership. Was able to reconnect with Bob one of the three owners! Was even able to connect with Mikey, a regular! Humidor is now well stocked with reasonable prices (for CA). The refresh is really nice as well. Hope to be back soon and more often. I do miss Bill and Chris and hope to make it out to Wild Bill's someday.

I travel regularly to San Jose to see a client and this is the perfect place to end the week. Great cigar selection and a super chill vibe. West Coast Cigars is 5 stars across the board!

Was in town for a tattoo and Looked for a local cigar lounge. Found West Coast Cigars and so glad I did. What a great place to hang out and smoke a cigar. The owner was so helpful, friendly and welcoming. Got to hang out with him and some local guys and watch the Giants game, enjoy a cigar and a cold beer. What a great time, thank you Wear Coast Cigars, I'll be back next time I'm in San Jose!

Noelle's Yelp Notebook 2019 West Coast Cigars is located in the Willow Glen area of San Jose. It's definitely on the off beaten path near some automotive body shops. Called last weekend and asked if they sold gift cards. They told me they sold gift cards- so we made our way to West Coast Cigars. From the outside it looks like an old house. There is parking in the back of the home and the front yard has tables and chairs. I went in by myself to pick up the gift card. When you enter there are two sitting rooms, one on your left and another on your right. Walking towards the back they have a cash register area and large glass displays of cigars and anything you might need for your cigar smoking needs. This place definitely has character. If you want a smoke and a drink- this looks like a good spot. Customer service on the phone and in person was sincerely friendly from start to finish. I was able to purchase $100 gift card for my uncle's birthday. My uncle, cousins and friends have frequented this place. I've never been here before because I'm allergic to smoke. They have NFC - so you may use Apple Pay, Google Wallet or Samsung Pay. I was in and out of West Coast Cigars in about 5 minutes :) Noelle's Notes They sell gift cards Apple Pay, Google Wallet and Samsung Pay accepted

This is a different kind of lounge. It was in a "house" near a bunch of auto shops and behind a fence. I was not sure about it when I drove up, but decided to enter, which was tough because there doesn't seem to be a marked entrance. There was an outdoor space with a fire pit and tables, and I entered the lounge, purchased a stick, and looked for a place to sit. Unfortunately, the lounge was full, so the employee told me I could go sit in the member's lounge, which is in another building 10-20 feet away with a keypad to get in. The lounge was cool, with nice people hanging out in there watching Monday Night Football. They also started a poker game, which they invited me to, but I wasn't able to stick around long enough to participate. I left with a completely different opinion of West Coast Cigars than when I drove up... I love this place!

This is my go-to cigar lounge in San Jose. The staff are great. It's a great selection for my tastes, the regulars are wonderful, and the fire pit is lit.most evenings

The music was really loud and I couldn't hear the conversation of the person with me so the Asian bartender helped us turn down the music a little. It wasn't until mid evening that I realized there was another bar in the back. The bartender told us the cocktails at Alter Ego were more fancy. Definitely instagramworthy! Tried two of the cocktails at Alter Ego. Overall, both have different vibes. Alter Ego is good for a more intimate dark setting date vibe. Service was pretty good at Still OG! The Asian bartender checked in several times and was really nice as well as provided some recommendations on which happy hour specials were most popular which helps since I'm indecisive. The back does seem like a more classy environment and I'd choose this setting over a dive bar any day. The music at still OG that they were playing at the time wasn't my cup of tea, but I'm sure they mix it up from time to time. I would love to hear some oldies!

The front was pretty full so we checked out Alter Ego first, but they were also full with nothing available until 11pm, so Still OG it was. You grab a spot yourself and then order at the bar. All cocktails are on tap, which actually ended up being great because I was between a few of them and the bartender was able to give me samples of them. We also ended up getting an order of the Chicken skewers, which were super tender and juicy. We were too late on our visit, but they do have a daily happy hour that includes some of the skewers and fries, as well as some drinks and shots. Service was super friendly and vibes and music were great! Cocktails, weren't the best since they were on tap, but still good enough! I would absolutely come back here for a drink and snack though!

From the very beginning, Ben, the manager, made the entire planning process feel effortless. We met with him a few weeks before the party for a tasting, and he was incredibly generous with his time- walking us through every detail, answering all of our questions, and making sure we felt confident leading up to the event. His communication and hospitality were exceptional. We rented out a private section of the restaurant for about 50 guests, and it was the perfect size. We were even able to rent pipe and drape directly through the restaurant, which transformed the space into the perfect setting for my mom's masquerade-themed party. It created a sense of privacy while adding a fun, elevated, and exclusive atmosphere. The food was phenomenal. Our favorites from the tasting were the Wagyu beef sliders, chicken yakitori skewers, and especially the truffle mac and cheese. They also provided to-go containers and our guests were able to take leftovers home. The service was outstanding. We had a dedicated bartender and event staff who made sure our guests were taken care of all night. One of the most memorable touches was that Ben helped us create a custom signature cocktail for the party, and the team even designed a custom cocktail poster to display at the bar. It was such a thoughtful detail that made the event feel even more personalized. To top it off, we made a last-minute request for a microphone and speaker for my mom's speech, and the team immediately accommodated us without hesitation. They made it happen seamlessly, which says so much about how committed they are to creating a great experience. The restaurant itself has such a fun, stylish vibe, the music and DJ created an amazing atmosphere, everything was spotless, and parking was incredibly easy thanks to the nearby parking garage just a short walk away. If you're looking for a venue for a birthday, engagement party, corporate event, or any celebration where you want guests to be impressed, I would absolutely recommend working with Ben and the team at Wild Rose Eatery & Bar. They went above and beyond to make my mom's 50th birthday unforgettable, and I wouldn't hesitate to host another event there.

Wagyu sliders - $5 each. The pattie was a good size, and it was super juicy with some melted cheese on top. The buns were perfectly toasted and this was honestly my fav item we ordered 2. Fried calamari - if you enjoy bigger calamari rings with thin crispy breading, this place does it well! Comes with 1 red sauce and their green tangy aioli. The portions were pretty good on this dish as well 3. Mac and cheese truffle bites - these were huge! I was expecting them to be as small as top golf's balls are haha but it comes with 3 huge balls. The pasta noodle itself was cooked to perfection, al dente and not super mushy. I was pleasantly impressed with this one and it came with the same green aioli sauce 4. Tomahawk steak - $7 each, honestly this is a confusing one. I was expecting steak bites similar to how a regular carne asada taco is, but it came in one huge chunk of meat, which wasn't even the best quality or cooked well. This is a skip For drinks we got the mango deck drink and the presentation was super fun! They lit it on fire and the chamoy stick was soft and easy to eat. Drink itself tasted sweet and easy to down in 1 big gulp! Overall the happy hour items offer lots of variety and our server was great!
