Deleted the contract I e-signed and canceled the job, however still charged my credit card 13 times. Contacted Arthur CEO of company who stated he would have someone call me back. Booked my second service with this company and it was questionable from the start. I called the number listed and was connected with someone. I told this person that their company helped us moved everything into a U-Haul while we replaced our floor and now we need everything moved back in. She quoted me more $245/hr with a $10/hr discount which was more expensive than the first job and not what I had been previously been quoted. I informed her that I was previously quoted $215/hour for this second move and she did adjust the price. Everything seemed in order, gave my card information for the deposit, and then ended the call. However, the payment receipt came in from Rocket Moving which was very confusing for me since this wasn't the company I called and had worked with. I sent an email to the original rep I booked with but assumed I wouldn't hear back given the holiday so I called back to confirm what was happening. This time, instead of answering the call, the new rep called me from a different number and wanted to know why I was calling -- it was really weird. She confirmed that they were a sister company to West Coast Movers. I eventually did hear back from someone at West Coast Movers and they confirmed that Rocket Moving is an affiliate company. I felt a little more at ease and requested that the same crew that moved us out be scheduled to move us in -- this crew was familiar with our layout and rooms so it just made sense. They said they would add this to our request. A few days pass and the new rep called me back to ask what was being moved. This was all information that I had previously provided her and really made me question why I booked this company. It's clear that there appears to be no system communication between the 2 companies or process. I feel like they should easily been able to look at my last move and get all the information they needed. The crew that came today was not the same crew. They tell me that before they can get started, I need to sign some documents to which I tell them I already signed all the estimate documents. I was told these were different and instead of letting me read this new document, I'm presented with a signature screen. I let him know I need to read what I'm signing first so he exits the signature screen and the "new document" is literally the same estimate document that I already signed. I sign it again and they begin. This new crew know nothing about how the U-Haul was packed and what rooms everything needed to go into. What was supposed to be an easy move-in started to became super stressful as the original crew DIDN'T label any of the boxes. The new crew is quickly bringing things in while I'm opening boxes trying to figure out where everything goes. This was just such a different experience from our move out. They then start brining our appliances in and inform me that they cannot reconnect anything that was disconnected. That I should have been told this when they disconnected everything but I wasn't and it wasn't in any of the documents I signed. This is arguably the most important part of the move. This entire time my partner is on the phone with either West Coast Movers or Rocket Moving -- honestly who knows at this point. The owner is telling us that if the move goes over 3 hours, they won't charge us any extra. All you're doing is emptying a U-Haul, it shouldn't take more than 2 hours max and your minimum work is for 3 hours -- you're not really trying to find a resolution for us. We only agreed to $215/hour for 3 hours because we were expecting the same, breezy experience as last time but that is not what we got. Essentially, they might be good on your first move but don't schedule them again if you need the house moved back in because they will have no idea where things go and nothing is labeled. It would have just been easier if we moved everything back in ourselves which...is actually what we are going to have to do at this point. read more

A number of companies responded to my request for a move, but I ended up going with WCM because of their reasonable price and solid Yelp rating. They offered their services of two movers for $99 an hour, x2 for driving distance (CA law). Once we agreed upon cost, they sent over a detailed email to confirm the requested date. David and Abele arrived on time, and quickly had their 24 ft box truck stacked with all my belongings. I was under the misconception that movers would milk my time for an additional dollar, but instead they had my entire apartment completed in under two hours. Once we arrived to the new location, which was inconveniently located at the top of multiple flights of stairs, the boys brushed through it without a single complaint. They even got creative and lifted my couch over the balcony since it was too large for the stairwell! Props to David and Abele for making moving up 3/4 flights of stairs look breezy. read more

I really was dreading moving, but our movers, Agustin and Eliseo, made it pretty painless. They were efficient and seemed knowledgeable about maneuvering some of my big furniture. This 5-star review is only for the 2 movers themselves, not the company. Adam and Gabriel showed up several hours late, but this was not their fault at all. They were clearly overbooked by the company, which had over-promised on scheduling. Still, Adam and Gabriel were champs, lifting, assembling, and keeping a positive attitude, even though they were tired from a very long day. I was very impressed. Now, West Coast Movers as a company I would maybe not recommend. I gave them as much information as possible to get the right number of people for enough hours, and they said 2 people were enough, even though I felt very skeptical of this. I think they wanted to show off that they had the lowest quoted price, even though the actual move took double what they had said it would. Lesson learned. I was given an arrival of 2p-5p, and Ryan, one of the movers, texted me around 1pm to let me know he'd be there by 2pm. Have moved many times and our crew yesterday was probably our least favorite. We had 3 hr minimum and they did it all as fast as they could and tried to leave at 2 hours flat, when there was still plenty for them to help with. It was very clear that they go in with that game plan - get done as early as possible to get to their next job early. Normally this would be fine but since we had a bunch of leftover things to be moved to our back alley, into a car etc, it was very frustrating. If you are forced to pay for 3 hours they should expect to be there for 3 hours and can leave at 3 hours on the dot. Not earlier. I have chosen not to hire this company and so should you. They initially quote a flat rate and offer an option of an hourly, if preferred. They try to get you to commit to the "quoted rate". Upon further questions, each time I asked something there were additional charges. First is was that the flat rate is only for mileage and doesn't include load or unload. Then they add a minimum load and unload time to charge. I stopped inquiring because to me, ethics and honestly matter. Be very careful with these people. Movers showed up and complained that I had too many things and said that it would take 8 hours. Mind you, I have an average amount of things but the guy made it seem like I was out of my mind. I told the representative who set up the reservation everything they needed to know beforehand: # of bedrooms, square footage, types and number of furniture, etc. Not to mention, I had everything boxed up and I was also going to leave behind my mattress and sofa. Nothing made sense but I ended up agreeing to 3 movers and postponed to next day because I didn't want this shady guy moving my things but of course had to pay more to my old complex for staying an additional day. Everything seemed shady and wrong, the mover was just a whiny shady guy trying to upsell me. Whatever, I want to move on. Next day, group of guys were much better and of course they let me know that the previous mover was tripping because I had an average amount of things for a 1 bedroom place. Even so, I can't give more than 2 stars because they were noticeably dragging their feet. Really friendly but took their sweet time going back and forth. For instance, there was one time where 2 of the 3 guys were outside for over 30 minutes. I was clocking them while I was cleaning things up. There's no reason why they should be outside for over 30 minutes. Ended up taking 5 hours for a move that should have taken less than 4 for 3 people. All in all, I would rather pay more per hour for more reliable and efficient movers. Go with a company that has more reviews because Yelp is clearly gaming the system for this company because I see other complaints and yet they still have 5 stars. Don't fall for it. read more
