RW is using Yakima to find any loophole they can to exclude warranty coverage. Do not give them your business. Rack warehouse will abandon customers at the first sign of cost to them. Even their return process shows there lack of care by charging a 6% restock fee. Avoid Rack Warehouse and go to Amazon, they take returns and do not fight for faulty construction. Products are made outside the US and are the very same quality. Should have used amazon to start with. If your product fails, do not provide them with any info except a basic photo, they will use anything they can to avoid a costing them $$.

I find this very helpful because i have a tough time navigating through the store to find certain items. The door greeters are always kind enough to assist and tell you where everything is located thus saving saving a lot of time and energy.

If they're not available for purchase, they shouldn't be displayed on the sales floor for customers to try on. It was a frustrating experience and a waste of our time.

We worked with two gentlemen during our time at REI, both were fantastic. I wanted to share a specific shout-out to Nieve. Nieve spent substantial time with us to ensure that Paul was in the perfect boot, binding and the right ski for his level. Paul is an exceptional skier, who now lives in the Midwest with me, his average skier wife, after growing up in the ADK's and skiing every winter day of his life, when weather permitted, for 20 years. Nieve also fitted me for boats, bindings and skis too, for good measure, so I can ski with my husband and not be bothered with rentals. Nieve, thank you - you were a joy to work with and my mountain husband, who begrudgingly lives 9-months per year in the Midwest, is now a happy camper again. The Scaps.

REI has really gone downhill. Both their products and their service. I had a terrible experience at…read morethis REI location. The staff collectively assaulted and harassed me verbally for being a service dog user, and for criticizing the decline of REI. It's a leftwing business, which means that the "feelings" of the employees outweigh any and every other consideration. In fact, I asked for contact info to make a complaint, and while one employee was writing it down, another employee came along and tore up the paper! I left the store but had to go back in for something, and 8 store employees were viciously gossiping about me at the checkout area. I WILL NEVER PURCHASE FROM REI EVER AGAIN!
