Don't bother. Horrible customer service. When using vouchers they ask for extra tax when you arrive on top of voucher, but you can get a mani pedi for $49 there. Sloppy, half assed, mail polish on my cuticles and uneven filing, manicurists constantly and loudly chatting with each other, people coughing all over the store (no masks), phones ringing and people talking loudly on speakerphone, just not a relaxing salon or good service whatsoever. Go elsewhere. Also I tried to use my "free birthday mani pedi" and showed ID, and despite being a returning customer, they wouldn't let me use it because I didn't have my loyalty card and he refused to look me up in their computer system so I could prove I'd been there before. I came here on Sunday for a gel mani and regular pedi for $75, which is a little steep but I figured it might be worth it. The service and experience was great, but by Tuesday two of my gel nails are chipped. I live on the east side and am busy with work (which is why I opted for a gel mani) and don't have time to come back to ask if they will fix it. Very impressed having just tried this place for the first time this afternoon. I have high standards for nail salons but this place has checked all my boxes and I'm so glad to have found them. Very lovely, clean, looks newly renovated. Very calming and quiet atmosphere so don't come looking to get on your phone. Really good Covid precautions and protocol in place and the prices are reasonable. I brought my own organic Zoya polish but they offer all the great Zoya colors and Essie Organic for $2 extra and have a beautiful array of regular OPI and ESSIE polishes and gels. True test is how long the polish lasts but so far so great! I will be back and be bringing my 81 year old mother because this is the best nail salon I've found on UWS in a long time! read more

This is a clean, I repeat: CLEAN and reasonably priced salon. I don't know why people would give it less than 4 stars. I've come here twice. First for a pedicure and then for a regular manicure. Both times the ladies took their time and used packaged buffers and files. On my nails I got the extended wear Esse polish and it's already lasted a week and half without a major chip. The salon also doesn't reek with nail polish which I appreciate. You can tell they invested time in considering design and making it nice. Walked in. $14 manicure. Looked very nice and clean. Clean, they open the packages in front of you. Felt clean and while it was pretty full, the smell wasn't too overwhelming. I often get cut when I get manicures - which just should NOT happen. My technician was very careful and cautious (without me saying anything). He didn't chat with any one else, or look away while cutting (again, things I feel are pretty basic but often do happen). Excellent mani-pedi! The place is spotless and everything is sanitized. I got the Groupon deal and when I called to make the reservation they notified me of the $5 surcharge, so I knew that going in, and I understand. If you buy the Groupon during one of their 25% or 30% off promotions, it's really not a big deal to hand over another five bucks. You still get a bargain. My nail technician was Eva and she was so patient and thorough. I am a bit indecisive when I pick out polish colors and she did not rush me. I also love that they carry Zoya. Non-toxic, cruelty-free, and a great selection of colors from which to choose. The space itself is bright and inviting, with natural wood accents and plenty of space between stations to account for social distancing. I'm sssooo picky about my nails and at best I'm happy with the mani/pedi: rarely thrilled. Moved to the neighborhood a few weeks ago and went through the oh boy, the search begins. West Nails had great reviews and is around the corner, so how could I not try it. Don't let the store front fool you - the salon is lovely and super clean. When I moved to the city, I tried out several nail salons in the neighborhood to find my go-to place. Well, West Nail has been my salon for over a year now. The salon is very clean with a pleasant atmosphere and a good color selection. I usually do SNS nails with a regular pedicure. My manis regularly last 3 or more weeks. Prices are slightly higher than other salons but worth it for the consistently good services I get here. I would definitely recommend West Nail. read more

She also helped me pick a color that was exactly what I was looking for. The salon also has nice little touches like phone stands at the table. Went here with a friend. Tools do not come in sanitized new packages . . . Got the pedicure and manicure on Saturday & now my big toe has a super bad infection. The worst mani & pedi ever . Nothing was pleasant about this experience. Felt very rushed & not relaxed. Manicurist was very abrupt and rude , speaking to coworkers loudly over me & my friend. This place totally ruined my nails. The nail tech was very aggressive in filing my nails with the dremel to remove my dip powder and to buff my nails. She filed my nails so thin I have red spots on the nail bed. The dip powder and my nails cracked only days later. Will not return here. read more

Four and a half stars. Nika, who gave me the $89 treatment (pedicure, manicure, ten-minute back massage), is fantastic. Meticulous, gentle, thorough, energetic and wonderfully cheerful. She did a five-star job. She seems like someone whose talents should move her on to a more rewarding job someday. I hope for her that it happens.The salon itself is fine, a bit cramped and dark, but apparently very clean. Some odd-looking copper pipes that resemble periscopes have been installed in the ceiling that are delivering constant fresh air, and the staff is masked. One down side of the dimness of the place is that I am looking at my toenails, and they are pretty close to bubblegum pink, not the color I would have chosen in better lighting. The BEST place for a dip powder mani. Mine typically last me 3 weeks to a month. The salon is very clean and nicely decorated. Their staff is very well trained. My only advice would be to make sure you allow some extra time because they do get busy, so even with a scheduled appointment you may end up needing to wait a little. BUT it's so worth it! read more

Big fan! I walked into a different place in UWS and it was scary as HELL. I beelined it outta there, searched Yelp and found this new gem. It's cute in there, very clean and they have lots of pretty plants and greenery hanging on the walls. I normally don't care about ambiance in a nail salon, but it was a nice touch. The technician was super nice, let me take my time picking a color and did a great job. I'm going on two weeks of a gel mani + pedi without a chip in sight. I just came from a pedicure here. It was amazing and so relaxing. I confirm Covid protocols of hand sanitizer and temperature check at the door. Plexiglass separator at entrance and between manicure stations and everyone in masks. I was so impressed with all that but the service itself was also stellar! I'm a little disappointed because after just 3 days of getting a gel manicure (and reg pedicure), two of my nails are already chipping. This place is not super cheap, so I'm upset that this is happening. The decor and the customer service is good, but it's unacceptable that my nails are already chipping! I also got a pedicure and my right big toenail is messed up. The girl (who was very nice) told me my feet were dried and that I could put on my shoes. I was not 100% sure, so I asked for her to wrap my feet so I could put my socks + shoe on. When I got home is when I noticed the nail polish on mu right big toenail was messed up. So now make that 3 nails messed up in less than 3 days. The salon's cleaning measures seem to standard, but I'm unsure if I'll be back. Gel manicures are not cheap and should last at least 2 weeks. I'm on day three and I kind of want my money back. read more

I came here 2-3 weeks ago for a normal mani and had a great experience. My technician took her time and did an overall great job. I was excited because there aren't a ton of great nail salons on the uws. I came back because I purchased the gel mani and normal pedi groupon deal after my first visit to west nail. Unfortunately my recent experience was different from my first. My pedi was rushed and my technician didn't take her time at all. The polish on two toes is slightly bumpy. The gel mani also appeared to be rushed however not as bad as the pedi. One nail's gel coat was left jagged after she completed the mani. I brought this to her attention and asked if she could redo the nail however she ignored my request and instead proceeded to file off a bit of the gel and added another layer of polish on top of her mistake. This didn't resolve the issue and caused the polish to remain jagged. I asked again to redo the nail because the gel as expected appeared thick in comparison to the other nails. again she filed a bit of the polish away and continued adding another layer. After she was done, I went to the front desk and told them about my experience and how i wanted the problem nail to be redone. He was accommodating and asked another technician to fix the nail. The other technician did a great job fixing my nail as well as applying the gel polish. I wish I had him instead of my nail tech! I'm giving 2 stars because my first experience (regular mani) was awesome. read more
