I'm not sure how long we've been using West Oak, but it has been many years! We typically drop clothes off there weekly. The employees are friendly. The turnaround time is great. All good dry cleaners are not inexpensive and I feel like their pricing is in line with others. You can pay less, but you get what you pay for! Our clothes are often ready even sooner than quoted at drop off. My husband often has little things here and there on his dress shirts and they miraculously get most of it out! They've replaced buttons I didn't realized were missing. And they're really close to our house! Really couldn't ask for more from a dry cleaner! read more

They do not provide pricing when you drop off your clothes. Prices are above other places which is kinda shocking when you finally get the bill. I would avoid this place. Plenty of other cleaners in the Ellisville area that provide pricing upfront such that you can make an informed decision on service. read more

Best dry cleaners I have ever used! My husband brought in my new blazer that I had gotten ink on and was told that they would do their best, but not sure they could get the ink completely off, probably at best it would be lightened. I couldn't believe it when I received a text that the blazer was ready before the promised day and that they got the ink completely off of it. The fact that they texted me with the good news blew me away. That just showed me how they really care about their clients. They have done an amazing job on everything I have ever brought in. There are quite a few branches of West Oak Cleaners, but I am reviewing Clarkson Rd in Chesterfield specifically. My boyfriend and I have had spotty service with them. A few issues with stains not being addressws, a pair of tailored pants that were sewn wrong. Their saving grace is that the managers have stepped in quicky to rectify their wrongs. "Why go back?", you ask? They are close to home & work and I guess I'm a sucker for a third, and fourth chance. read more

I took my daughters fairly expensive duvet into this dry cleaners a few weeks ago. The duvet had some pin dot blood stains and had cat hair on it as she has two cats. I am from out of state and chose this dry cleaner as it appeared to be a reputable place by appearance. I walked in and a women with strawberry colored hair was working. She was SO beyond rude and appeared to be a very unhappy person that didn't like her job. She told me there was so much cat hair on the duvet that it would take her hours to go over it to get it off. It was very apparent to me she didn't want to clean the duvet. Price was not an issue to me. All she needed to say was that she didn't want to clean the duvet. I took it down to the Westoak Cleaners on Olive and they happily cleaned it with no problem. When my husband and I move into the area we will stay clear of ever using this dry cleaners. If you charge high prices, people expect politeness and courtesy at the counter. read more

This was my first visit to the Clarkson Road location and 2nd overall to West Oak Cleaners. In fact, I went to this location by mistake as I confused it with the one on West Olive when I was printing out the coupon I received in my e-mail. Regardless, the service I received here was awesome. I have a black wool pea coat and it had a little glob of dried ketchup on the front collar. I was worried they wouldn't get it out by dry cleaning. I dropped it off on a Saturday morning and was told it would be ready on Monday after 4:30 pm. I arrived on Monday afternoon (1/27/14) and it was ready like they said. The coat almost looked like new - they got the ketchup off! Like I said, this is the 2nd time I was satisfied with West Oak. When I went to the West Olive location, they got gobs of dog hair off the same coat. If you sign up for e-mail updates, they email you coupons each month for 10-15% off dry cleaning. After the discount, it was $15.93 plus tax. I don't know if that's pricey, but I feel I got my money's worth. read more

Prices are significantly higher here than other nearby cleaners, but they offer good coupon discounts. So on my first or second visit I signed up for their email coupons. I have waited three months, still have not received them. When I inquired one month in person and then another month on the phone, I was told, "I've been told to tell people to go to our website and I think there's maybe some way to get some kind of coupons." They did a fantastic job preserving my wedding dress. However, they didn't save my phone number correctly. Even after this was corrected, they never called to update me for a service that should have taken 1 month. After I came in to check the gown before it was boxed, they never called me back and seemed to have difficulty locating it. It took 2 months longer than I was quoted in total. Very frustrating for an expensive service that I paid for in full up front. Would not recommend read more

Wow you wouldn't believe what happened to me! My review is for the Clarkson location but BEWEAR same owner for all locations, i.e. Same level of incompetence. Long story short I brought a shirt in that was lost by them. Their first solution was to discredit me and say I had never been there. Turns out a week later I saw a camera in the store. I asked them to look on it (duh) but the response from the manager, yes THE manager was that 1. It would take to long to look at it the video and that she didn't know how. She also kept telling me that because I put the shirt in under my fathers account and not my they couldn't do anything about it. So I said does that mean my father needs to come in and say you lost his shirt (trying to remedy the issue using their logic) but nope she told me that it still distant prove I brought the shirt in. The biggest part of this story is that the whole time I have a random shirt in my possession given to my by they which they could not explain. The entire process was a series of "i don't know." The situation was handled so poorly I will definitely be calling the better business bureau. DO NOT GO TO WEST OAK. read more

Despite being super expensive and having mostly unfriendly staff, I used to take my clothes here out of convenience... until my last visit. They damaged a pair of basically brand new slacks - it was their first trip to the cleaners. I didn't notice the damage until I got home and immediately returned to the store. When I showed the employee the damage she became rude and defensive. She set the slacks down on the counter and proceeded to help the next person. I was kind of wondering what was going on.... even the person she started helping told the employee that she could finish with me first. The employee snatched the slacks off the counter and took them to the back room. While she was in the back I could hear her talking to whom I assume was the manager. She was badmouthing me and basically saying that I was lying about them being responsible for the damage. After several minutes the employee returned to the front of the store and said they would repair the tear and to check back in two weeks. I wasn't very happy two weeks later when I picked up the repaired pants... the repair was pretty noticeable... and these were almost new $250 slacks. I feel they handled the whole situation terribly... the repair didn't hold up and in hindsight I wish I would have demanded reimbursement for the pants. Just an awful experience... I will not be back. read more
