My parents live close by to this deli and go quite often for breakfast. So much so, we were there 3 times the week I was visiting. The prices are reasonable, the food is tasty and the service is prompt. The people working there were also very friendly and helpful. The only area for improvement would be syrup flavors for iced coffee. read more

This bagel place needs more attention! They are under new ownership and the quality of the bagels has greatly increased, in fact they are the best in the surrounding area, I enjoy the marble rye and pumpernickel recipe for their bagels and they don't use a lot of salt such as Goldberg's , nice staff and very organized when taking orders. read more

I tend to go with a breakfast sandwich (sausage egg and cheese) with a mini bagel on the side something different inside of it every time, so far they haven't disappointed. Now these are GOOD bagels!!!!! So fresh and soft! Make sure you get whichever is freshest. I do enjoy a bagel sandwich but I couldn't pass up the simple fresh bagel with cream cheese. The everything bagel I had was still hot from being baked and incredibly soft, and it was the perfect amount of cream cheese. It was perfect. Just tried for the first time, and they def have the Best French Toast Bagel around!

Small things that went unnoticed is why I'm giving this place 2 stars. Service was slow for delivery despite being told it would take 30 minutes (took about an hour even though I'm down the block). They decided to put salt, pepper, and ketchup on my bagel even though no request was made for it. I wish I could give an honest opinion on the bagel, but that arrived cold. I really like their bagels and that's why I keep going back. But the service is usually pretty bad, there is a lot of confusion and if you get anything besides a bagel it takes a long time. They help people out of order a lot too, which is irritating. They just can't seem to get themselves organized. Even though their bagels aren't as good, I often go to Ridgewood Hot Bagel instead where you get such fast, friendly, and efficient service. Great bagel place in Ridgewood. I haven't gone to everyone but I have been to Bagelicious and Ho Ho Kus bagels. West Side is the best. Better array of bagels. My wife likes the French Toast bagel while I get Taylor Ham egg and cheese. One of the best bagels I've ever had. Over 30 years living in NJ so I know my bagels (well, I like to think that). They also make fresh smoothies which are awesome. This is the only place I've found in Ridgewood that serves smoothies early in the am. Also, easier to park then at Bagelicious and you can sit and eat in the place of you choose. read more

Ordered a sesame bagel with cream cheese and lox this morning. I noticed a generous portion of salmon. After taking a bite, I noticed some very dark portions of the meat. Opened the bagel to see larger portions very dark and spoiled. I was quite upset. Upon returning the bagel, the manager who made the sandwich offered to replace it. I refused to take anything from them. It is a little extraordinary that they would give me a sandwich with spoiled lox. They took the lox off of a plate and saw what kind of food they were giving me to eat. It's not like they gave me a prepackaged sandwich, trusting that it was fresh and safe to eat. Granted, every once in a while, bad food gets served because somebody doesnt check. But when you are making a sandwich with clearly spoiled meat, then it betrays a deliberate decision to sell unhealthy food. Lox is bright orange. This lox had large sections that were dark brown. So it didnt take a special skill to evaluate the color of the meat. How can anyone trust them to provide safe food if they knowingly choose to serve such food? I have bought bagels from them many times before, but this is the last visit for me. I hope they don't poison anyone from the nearby middle school when students visit during lunch. read more

So I used to go this place all the time and this morning I remembered why I stopped going. Last weekend I ordered breakfast and the portions seemed cut back compare to before and the staff were very inattentive to the customer. A week later and I go there again and this time I stand there for 5 minuets before any member of staff even acknowledges that I exist. I ordered a Taylor ham, egg and cheese with salt, pepper, ketchup and a coffee with cream. When I eat the food I realized they hadn't put the salt, pepper and ketchup in. Then when I tasted my coffee I realized they put milk as opposed to cream. Everything on my order was wrong, how does this happen? I order from deli's all the time and I see them write SPK for slat pepper ketchup and how the heck does cream ever become milk?!?!?! The condiments is one thing but the guy behind the counter obviously recognized that I wanted something in my coffee but cream and milk are miles away. The man behind the counter gave me horrible looks both times I went in and I wouldn't be surprised if he is doing this on purpose. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. Just go the other side of the railway station and you will find a small deli with wonderful food which I can say has made order perfect every time for last 6 years. read more
