I researched online and learned that abatement of mastic on hardwood floors can be done by scraping or sanding or other methods, and the guy who refinished my hardwood floors a couple years ago got it off of the floor and refinished the wood without issue, so I assumed this would be the case. When I came home, I was horrified when I realized they had cut out all of the hardwood boards out of my kitchen and removed them, instead of scraping and sanding the hardwoods. I'm now out $1800 AND I literally don't have a floor anymore. When I spoke to them over the phone, I was assured that removing the boards was the ONLY way to address the issue, which is simply untrue. I feel like an idiot for not researching other abatement companies, as it was a decision I made in panic. It's too late now, but now I'm researching and finding all of these other companies that offer abatement in Portland for hardwood flooring where the mastic can be removed. When I saw photos of other local companies work post-removal, I felt even more like an idiot. There was no need for me to lose my floors entirely in this process. This has been a nightmare. I was told this company specializes in abatement, but it seems they specialize in demolition, and ensure abatement in the process of said demolition. Unless you're looking to tear out a wall or a floor or cabinetry entirely, I would not recommend.

Since this is a rental house and we go through a property management company, we were not able to set foot on property while they were working. They tilted the fence back up in the one section that it was falling over, and other than that they did nothing. They left a big pile of trash for us to remove, and not to mention, THE GATE OF THE FENCE WONT EVEN SHUT NOW! I am so floored by the fact that we paid over $3000 to have two sections of a fence fixed, and because of the poor repair job, the fence now doesn't even shut. I really don't like giving small businesses poor ratings, but this was one of the worst jobs I have seen. ProFleet, you need to take better care of your customers.

I will be filing a complaint with the CCB and the Better Business Bureau as well as the Oregon State Minor Label BCD. second update: pro plumb installed plastic concentric venting on a unit that requires metal concentric venting. They also cut the venting improperly. This is what caused the carbon monoxide. I had to have a second company come and completely redo their install, venting, gas lines, and replace the damaged unit which they installed. They still have not refunded me and continue to make up lies about me. ** installed a damaged unit, put my family at risk of carbon monoxide, left me without hot water for over a week ** They installed a rinnai tankless water heater less than six months ago. I repeatedly smelled gas and carbon monoxide and had issues with the water heater not putting out heat properly, and now it has started shaking violently. They said to call northwest natural. Northwest natural red tagged the unit for carbon monoxide leakage. 5 days later, Pro plumb came out to look at the unit, I was advised by pro plumb and by rinnai to contact a rinnai certified plumber to inspect the device. Jennifer told me the warranty would be long and that I would not have hot water, and that if i purchase another unit that they would install it for free. By now I have not had hot water for 6 days. The rinnai certified installer said that the gas line pro plumb was 1/2" instead of the required 3/4", the exhaust on the unit did not have an exhaust port, it only had an elbow which was causing carbon monoxide to enter the house. He also noticed that it was damaged and didn't look like a new unit. By now I have not had hot water for 8 days. When I contacted Jennifer at pro plumb she said the other plumber was just badmouthing them, and is very upset and angry with me that I would insinuate that there is a problem with their install, and insisted there was no damage on the hot water heater. When I asked her how the unit would be damaged on the rear of the unit facing the wall, she said she did not want to argue with me. She eventually hung up on me. I don't know when I will get hot water again, or when Pro Plumb will come out to fix the install.

Leaks observed in the following winter season after install that were never repaired or resolved. Even though it was under warranty in the contract. We also had issues with their exterior painting subcontractor who was very hostile towards our concerns of painting in the winter (cold temps and rain- we wanted to wait until spring. We insisted which drove him into a fit). The bigger issue was with the roof leak however and after contacting the Viktor the owner he offered to pay for the repairs (We had to hire another roofing company to come and fix, and also hire a mold mitigation company to remove mold). He never paid after over many months of notice. These problems are often resolved in legal mitigation with a contractors bonding company, however we discovered he had been recently sued by someone else for over $16k which drained their bond. Thankfully the other roofing company did a solid job of fixing the leak issues and mold mitigation company also did a perfect job removing mold so there is happy ending to the roof. However, do your homework on Washington labor and industries website https://secure.lni.wa.gov/ before hiring this company, or for any contractor for that matter. As of now their license is suspended, but yet they still advertise. Be careful out there!

We went through him for exterior paint as well, which he insisted on using Sherwin Williams for, as they are considered the best quality. In the process of having our home looked over to see what projects we could afford to do, we had an unpleasant surprise in finding out the previous home owners...who replaced the roof themselves...laid the roof shingles incorrectly and therefore we had swelling and imminent failure. I received quotes from four exterior siding companies, as well as six roofing companies. I could have gone with two separate companies but Viktor won my business for two reasons. He was competitive with the siding and roofing companies I was seriously considering and he was very communicative. He answered so many questions. We have never had major home repairs done. We both had family and friends pepper us with horror stories of companies giving them a reasonable price and then tacking on thousands in charges at the end. I probably drove him a little nutty with all my concerns before we agreed to sign the contract. Then, after we signed, we added on work we hadn't realized needed to be done as well. For one, I thought the rubber trim wood around garage doors was part of the siding. It is not. Ours was in need of replacement. Our exterior outlets were outdated and out of code, as they were original to the house...twenty-five years ago. We asked for our bathroom exhaust fans to be replaced, which were accessed via the attic and that led to finding out our master bath vent was never even hooked up...just a fan box buried in insulation. That answered why we kept having motors burn out every two to three years. There was trim replacement which was unplanned for as well. There were a couple of delays, but Viktor was always responsive and reassuring when those happened and the work was not only done but done so well I've had multiple people, in the neighborhood, comment on the quality of the final job. His employees are friendly and patient with my curious George mind...asking about every little thing, as I just never stop asking how things work. He even went above and beyond. I ordered a new sliding patio door from a door company he works with all the time and when they were not communicative, Viktor followed up with them to find out what was going on. The additional charges for the work added after contract signing was very reasonable. I am fully confident in my recommendation of Viktor and his team. They are perfectionists, professional, patient, communicative, and friendly. I am very happy I chose to give Provision Remodeling my business and would do so again.
