I've been to Bar Louie years ago and this is terrible. We went out to Westgate for a date and the Yard House had a long wait so we went here. It wasn't too busy which would excuse half of the problems. Food comes out cold instead of hot and my salad came out hot instead of cold, It's obvious it sat in the window forever. A friend and I decided for drinks and appetizers on a Thursday evening. The ambiance was nice with warm dimmed lighting. Gavin, our server, greeted us right away and was very personable yet professional. We had to have the manager address a concern with our food, who was also very professional and understanding. Throughout that ordeal Gavin remained professional. We ordered the artichoke dip which was about 2 spoonfuls of dip with a plate full of chips. Definitely not balanced. I'd suggest to the restaurant to give a smaller portion of chips. We also ordered buffalo and lemon pepper wing which were great. I ordered a martini with a nectar berry rim which was very salty. The drink was very strong I was only able to take a few sips because I was driving. Overall, I'd say if you're looking for a place to go for drinks with friends this is nice spot. So when you serve minors and get caught you make your bar tenders ask 55 year old men for their ID... only restaurant bar in Westgate that has done this to me in years. Unfortunately I only had cash and a credit card so was obviously disappointed as I clearly look like a 55 year old man and a US Veteran. When I couldn't produce my ID the bar tender, who is straight trash, told me to get out of "his bar". Trust me on this, this kid, I'm sure, has a hard time paying his rent on his apartment let alone owning "his bar" at this restaurant. So you got caught serving minors and your reaction to that is demand clearly middle aged folks for their ID? Pathetic! I don't care if you change your policy as I won't be back, truly sad as I remember Bar Louie back in the day when it could compete with the likes of Mastro's and the finest fish houses. read more

Check out their Tuesday $5 Signature Burger Meal with Fries or Tator Tots! What a bargain. Bar Louie has a nice vibe. It is a large restaurant, so seating was not a problem. I was so impressed. My Fried Louie Burger was beautifully assembled. Great optics! However, what won me over was how juicy the medium well burger was. The sunnyside up egg just added more moisture to the fabulous burger. I couldn't finish the tator tots. You can't beat this great deal! My daughter got the Salmon Sliders. The Salmon was marinated well and moist. I will be back on another Tuesday! read more

It is pretty quick to get you seated but they take around 10-15 minutes to come by and get your order and another 15 minutes to get food. But the cause of that was a concert about to go on. The food is delicious so worth the wait, drinks are good. Good ambiance, nice decorations. read more

We went before a concert and they were really busy. We had been seated for a while and no one had taken our order. Sammie 1610 noticed and went out of her way to come take our order.. we were not in her section. She apologized and took care of us right way and provided great service through out our meal. So we have a story here. Great location nice ambiance, should have been a great lunch. However, my burger was great but my wife's salad and my daughters supposed wedge salad were terrible. All favorites all deliciously prepared fresh at opening (we arrived early) and they really hit the spot. Until that is.... I was headed out, went to restroom to freshen up and saw a huge cockroach in the Gender Neutral bathrooms..It made me want to hurl! Had a family dinner Friday night and service and food was great! We ordered the spinach and artichoke dip, which was very tasty but portion size was a bit small compared to the actual amount of chips we got. Drinks were fantastic, and Gavin, our waiter, did a great job at recommending drinks and food items. Party of 11 and it was hands down the worst service any of us have ever received. They were out of so many choices and neglected to tell us when we sat down. They never refilled our waters, didn't clear up any plates from starters. There were times when we could see our waitress chatting away with other guests for lengthy periods of time and completely ignoring us to the point we refilled our own waters at the bar. Even when our orders finally arrived the food was lukewarm at best or just not what we ordered. The manager was not interested in making things right and none of us will ever return. While the location and ambience would make for a fun night our experience was not that. We arrived at 4pm ish and ordered cocktails and food. The cocktails were quite good but we can't weigh in on the food as the 2 flat breads we ordered never came. We ordered a second round of drinks in the form of a pitcher of their sangria and when the bus boy brought it he failed to bring glasses and he failed to pick up our empty glasses to make room for new glasses. When the bus boy came back bearing sangria glasses we asked that he remove the dirties. Clearly the staff is not well trained.....We were there for over an hour and fifteen minutes. We did ask our server about our food order after about 45 minutes and were told the kitchen was working on it. Nope 30 minutes later we decided to leave. We voiced our disappointment to the manager and were told yes they were understaffed and there was nothing he could do. While we left hungry and disappointed an offer to comp even 1/2 of our cocktail bill would have softened our disappointment. Would not recommend this place to friend or family ever. read more
