Had not been here in about 4 years due to poor service. Daughter likes this place so this is where we ended up for breakfast this morning. Food and service were good but prices are expensive. I guess they figure every one in this area lives on the lake and is rich. $3.29 for one pancake?? $2.29 for a small bowl of grits?? My wife and I got the same thing that we normally get at our go to breakfast place Dick's Cafe in Newton and it was almost $10 more here than we pay at Dick's. Like I said we ate here 'cause this is where the daughter wanted to go, but the wife and I would never come here on our own. Since the food and service are no better than Dick's Cafe why come here and pay $10 more for the same thing? read more

Really good local Greek joint serving diner fare to hungry locals since Clinton was president. I love livermush and theirs is done right. Their shrimp grits with cheese are not impressive...the shrimp is that baby stuff about the size of your thumbnail...no joke. REALLY small shrimp... baby shrimp? For the price, you'd think it had real shrimp as in shrimp over a 1/2 long. Biscuits are good and country ham is salty as hell...like it is supposed to be! Service is quick and attentive. read more

This place is conveniently located, but we rarely go because the biscuits and gravy pretty much have no flavor.

Came here for the first time since my boyfriend's parents moved into the area. Very good food, friendly service, attentive wait staff. We all had breakfast-omelettes, eggs, hash browns, toast, biscuits, corned beef hash, etc. Very yummy! Hash browns are cooked to perfection, crispy on the outside but not burnt. I don't often leave reviews but since I just had a terrible experience while celebrating my birthday brunch with my family, I thought I would today. First off, the waitress forgets to take my drink order. When everyone else gets drinks, she doesn't even bring me a water. So I ask if I can get a water and coffee. She leaves and comes back to take the food orders. I still haven't received a drink. I ask her before ordering my food if I can just get a drink. She responds "like right now?" So, I say "yes, please". She takes food orders. We wait awhile. Then when they bring it the food, they don't have mine. The waitress has mistaken my order. So once again, I'm sitting there without anything while everyone else is eating. The food was "ok". I love supporting small family restaurants but I expect better service. read more

Then try to tell server about it and she wants to act like it's alright, like the food is supposed to be cold!
