If you are reading this, take my word and never visit this place. They are fraudulent. Let me share the whole story for you to make an informed decision. I had a dental cleaning appointment. At reception, the lady was nice and did all the paperwork politely. When I went to see the nurse, I specifically told her that I only wanted to do what my insurance covers. However, she gave me an estimate that, sir, sorry, but you will end up paying $202 on top of your insurance. Despite my reservations, I agreed and said to go ahead and start the procedure. They completed the first half of the cleaning, and upon returning to the front desk for check-out, the receptionist handed me a bill of $175. I was slightly surprised, as the whole estimate was $202. I assumed they probably charged me less for the second half, so I requested to the receptionist that I'll pay the whole bill after my second visit. Then, a day before my second visit, they sent me a bill of $230, with overall charges of $1149. The amount paid by my insurance was $436.72, and I owed $230, according to the bill. I called them and asked why I got the bill of $230.48 when I was billed $175 during my check-out on the day of service. They told me that, sorry sir, but the lady who was billing you on the day didn't give you the full bill for some unknown reason, and this is your final bill for the first visit. I was shocked by how they convinced me by giving the estimate of $202 for the whole cleaning process and ended up charging $230.487 only for the first visit. They didn't have any explanation for this, and I had to cancel the second visit to avoid another $230 (or probably more, as they would have made some excuse regarding one of my cavities and ended up charging way more - who knows). Now, let me add the worst part - Their dental cleaning sucks - I asked the nurse to show me the pre and post-cleaning photos to verify the level of cleanliness, and she only took a photo of the front 2 teeth and showed it to me. After coming home when I checked, I hardly noticed any difference, and I was planning to discuss this during my second visit, but now I won't as I am canceling my second visit. Please save yourself from this cheating. I'll inform my co-workers at work not to visit this place, as unfortunately, this is one of the places covered under my insurance. If I have the option, I'll give feedback to my insurance company as well to remove this clinic from their list. Shameful.

David is an excellent hygienist who is super thorough and gentle and always does an awesome job making my teeth look and feel great. Dr. Wang is an excellent dentist, very friendly; I've had to have one filling replaced with him (it cracked years ago, and he finally convinced me to replace it) and although it did get/stay a little sensitive for a while now it's perfect. He was really good checking in with me every time and giving me tips on how to help with the sensitivity issues. The front staff is usually very friendly and helpful as well. I've been going here for a few years and only had one incident that I can remember where maybe somebody was having a bad day (hey it happens to all of us!) :) all in all I definitely recommend going here for your dental care needs.

Sadly, my whole family was part of the dental clinic for the past 2+ years. If there was a 0-star rating, that is what Grove Dentist would receive from me. Recently my insurance change and Lynn called me asking for the photo of insurance card and policy numbers. I explain my situation and let Lynn know that I have not received the card in the mail, that I will bring the insurance card in at time of appt, and if I haven't received the cards then I would be calling BCBS for that information prior to the appt. Back story, I made an appt due to a chipped tooth. The clinic initially scheduled me for the beginning of September 2025 only to be told by Lynn that there was no available slot prior to Sept 22nd, 2025. I ask Lynn how she knew to call me back to ask for insurance information if I didn't have an appt in place. Lynn then said, "oh, sorry that message was for someone else, I do see that you have an appt already". Sooooooo Do I or Do I Not????? Lynn then proceeds to ask for insurance information in which I shared that I have not receive my cards yet as this is a new Insurance plan for 09/2025. I told Lynn that it will be BCBS. Lynn said that was fine then texted me a couple days later asking again for the information. I inform Lynn again that I have not receive the card yet and should I not get then in time I could give BCBS a call. Lynn said OK. A day later Lynn text me again for a picture of the card and policy number, once again I told her I have not receive the card. The following day Lynn text again for the information and at this point, I'm starting to feel harassed. What don't they understand about me bringing in the card at the scheduled appt time? Again, I let her know that I have not gotten the cards yet. Lynn proceeds to tell me that if they don't receive the information the I would be responsible to pay for the appointment. Lynn, how many times do I need to tell you that I'll bring the card info in on appt day? So, I ignored Lynn's text message and didn't reply to such ignorance. Surprise! Today I get another text from Julia asking for the insurance information. At this point, Grove Dentist has basically harassed me all week long so I let Julia know that if they can't wait for me to bring in the information, they can cancel the appt and I can go somewhere else and not be harassed about "INSURANCE INFORMATION" daily. Julia basically replied and said, "Ok your appt is cancel and let us know where to send your X-rays." Wait, my appt was not even for X-rays though??? they don't even know what I'm going in for?? I feel so disgusted that my family wasted 2 years with such a low-down conniving business like Grove Dentist. I found Dunkirk Dental, and Dr. Wilcox to be as professional and gentle as possible. Pain levels where reasonable, the office was clean, and the conversation was good. I will have to have an old filling replaced which I anticipated, but I have no reason to believe that experience will be negative. In fact I look forward to seeing how the situation will be handled. They will split your appointment into two talking about deep cleaning, take you to the front office to check with the insurance. The front office staff will print out a statement showing you that insurance covers both services, and you get to pay for anesthetic which is $10. The day I went for the second cleaning I had to wait for a long time because of technical difficulties. I got done and I could not pay the $10 and the lady said they would call me the next day. The following day, a call came in right at the time when they were to about to close, and a statement had been sent of $200 plus. I called and somebody stated they had closed, I asked why the statement was sent after close time if she had nobody to answer my questions, she told me to pay tthe $10 then would have billing look into it. She explained that they call insurance, but they do not know what will be covered. First of all when they sat down with me on the initial visit and informed me that insurance would cover everything that was a LIE. The staff on the line said, I should wait for the claim to come back, and they do not know the timeline, alternatively I could just pay the statement balance $200 plus, they lied to me, falsified information and just wanted it paid, this is like STEALING from people. The only resolution being offered was, I am sorry. They know very well that if you do not pay, after a certain time you will be taken to collections, spoil your credit and still get paid. This is very unfair to people and I think most people do not even check how much they are being told to pay and they just charge the card, and continue falsfying information. Save yourself the headache and get a genuine, trustworthy place.
