I've been bringing my dog here 6 years now, it's about time I wrote a review! Where to start? The staff, all of them are lovely. Shout out to Michelle, Christina, Dr. Scott (happy retirement Dr. Peterson!) everyone who's names idk, you are awesome!! We just met Dr. Gabby and she's so nice we want her to be our vet forever! My dog can be a little stinker and everyone is patient and kind. I really appreciate the vibe cause vet visits aren't everyday and the staff is very understanding. I needed end of life services for my 21 year old cat and found this place after a frantic morning calling around for help. They were very nice and understanding and got me in right away. I'm so grateful for their treatment of me and my old girl. They were compassionate and professional and the fees were very reasonable. I will definitely be returning with my other animals. read more

If I can do 0 stars I would my dog just passed yesterday and the receptionist in the front brought in the paperwork for cremation and set the paperwork on him as if he was a table and proceeded to do that with a photo of the urns other than that it was good just that lady is awful read more

Embarrassing. The lack of empathy and compassion the receptionist has towards you and your pet is ridiculous. With just talking to the receptionist over the phone, it made me feel iffy but I simply called and asked if they accepted walk ins because I noticed my dog isn't feeling so great and I want to help him asap and I continued to explain what the matter was but the lady had a tone in her voice and was just like "yea we don't do walk ins and we don't have anything available till Tuesday". I would have appreciated a "I'm sorry about that" or something lol. Overall I just didn't appreciate her tone. Maybe next time, learn to be a little nicer for those who are going through a rough time. read more

Had been using another vet for years and grew less & less trusting of him. A friend told me about this place. Why did I wait so long, just half a mile further away but way better treatment. Dr Petersen was great with 2 of my 3 dogs, talked freely, answered all my questions and throughly examined both dogs. He encouraged me to meet Dr Todd whom I met with my 3rd dog, unfortunately for a passing of bridge situation, but he was just as awesome & yet super kind under the circumstances. Just the call with the receptionist was enough to turn me away from bringing my dog here. She was rude and condescending when I asked if they offered a valley fever test for my dog since the previous urgent vet i took her to did not. I was visiting this vet solely out of convenience with proximity to where I live but do not think I will be returning. The vet and technician were nice enough. How ever the receptionist is extremely rude and was unprofessional when I called to schedule an appointment. I had called and the times that I was given did not work for me as they overlapped with my work schedule. I was gonna try and switch shifts so I called back and instead of just letting me know what times were available , Pam decided to say "well if you had just let me finish talking", no. I ended the first call by saying thank you but none of those times work for me. She very unapologetic about her shitty tone. Nothing says customer service like having an attitude and responding with ""I'm sorry you feel that way" when you don't accept them speaking to you with disrespect. As a receptionist your job is the answer the phone , help patients and be the kind face of your workplace. You are the first impression. And mine was that I would not want to bring my animal here again where I feel so off put and disrespected over something so miniscule, a task that is in your job description. I don't take the time to write bad reviews unless I feel that it is deserved and it might save someone else from a bad experience. The interaction left me infuriated and like me you can probably find some where else with better customer service , I already have. Our dog of 16 years passed away and they were very helpful during our difficult time. Customer service was awesome! When we picked up our dogs ashes, we were very pleased on the presentation of the urn, and surprised of the paw prints and death certificate we received. The office went over and beyond. Plus days later we received a card of condolences on our dogs passing signed by the Dr and staff. Thank you so much for going over and beyond during our difficult time. We will forever be grateful and miss our fur baby. read more

Dr. Peterson and his staff are truly THE BEST. He is a genuinely caring and compassionate animal lover, and never rushes through our appointments. His knowledge is unmatched. I have been going there for well over twenty years, to see him and Dr. Harry before him. They have literally taken care of my dogs throughout their lives, from pups right up until the awful times to say our goodbyes. We have shared quite a few tears over the years, and I consider Dr. Peterson to be part of the family. read more

I have been going to WAH when it was owned by Dr. Hatch. Not long after that Dr. Peterson took over and that was about 30 something years ago. He is a great vet and a very nice person. Dr. Peterson and his staff were fantastic with with our Cat. They were flexible with getting him in although they were booked for the next 2 days. Since our situation was a semi emergency, our cat was serviced quickly. This experience was straight forward, no hidden fees our unnecessary exams or procedures. It's never a good time to put your animal down, and is very emotional as they are a big part of your family. I want to thank Dr Bill Petersen and his staff for making an unpleasant event as pleasant as possible. The doctor and staff are obviously experienced and very intune with the needs of the family and the animal. This is probably an awesome vet clinic with an amazing doctoral staff however I couldn't get past the rude receptionist. I believe your name was Pam It's not your job to try and tell someone their question is invalid, more so to simply answer my question so I have the information I need and therefor could bring my pet in. I definitely took my pet to another facility and I was right on the diagnosis. They provided me a quote over the phone like a NORMAL receptionist does. My experience with this place was all over the phone I can't imagine being in person with her. read more

Dr. Peterson is a very good vet and has a lot of experience. Unfortunately we have vowed to never go back because of some of the office staff, Rude Rude Rude!! The office is so depressing with the dim light and dark floors. I thought it was "just me" until my husband made a comment about how he dreads going there because of this atmosphere. It has always been like that.. I've seen funeral homes that were more cheerful! This very good vet does not know anything about customer service and so is oblivious to the outrageous behavior of at least one of his longtime employees...He is a no nonsense vet and tends to lack tact. I can forgive that but can't forgive the way his staff has treated us. Prices are not out of line compared with other places. read more

My 1 month old kitten was treated at an emergency hospital for constipation last night with an enema, fluids and prescribed a laxative. They advised me to take her to a regular vet for a follow-up & another enema today. Westridge doctor agreed that she needed an enema but wanted to re-diagnose her and keep her overnight. I asked him to try first, and then we'd talk. This made him very upset. He refused to treat my pet because he didn't want to be proven wrong. He said, "you just come in here and tie my hands and tell me what i can and can't do? no". Um, when it comes to my cat? yes. I told him I would go somewhere else but he said he would try. Then brought her back seconds later to tell me they wouldn't do it & I should take her somewhere else. I never take the time to write bad reviews but I'll make an exception for this guy. He was very dramatic, passive aggressive & unprofessional. The staff was very nice & treated us very respectfully though. read more
