Recently visited for a specialty event. (Evening Ritual) Ambiance is standard bar. This bar has white walls, standard tables, bar seating and picnic type seating. I'll say the picnic benches are hard on your buns. If you'll be here for 2+ hrs., maybe different seating may be for you. While here I tried the following: Brussel sprouts: nice size and portion. Brussels cooked awesomely. Flavor was deelish as well. Garlic parm wings: Saucy and nicely prepared. Nice portion and size as well. Fish and cheese sando: super good. Fresh crispy breaded cod with cheese on a bun. Nicely seasoned. Fries good as well. Frozen lycee drink: refreshing and nice portion. Could sell a shot combo with this. Service was a bit slow due to the event. 2 bartenders, 1 food server and 1.5 bussers. One bartender seemed to only service those sitting at the bar. The other was serving the line of patrons from tables. But he was also services those sitting at the bar. Which was confusing because it was no more than 10 seats and didn't seem to require 2 bartenders to cover. Anywhoots... Food started coming out at a snails pace at one point. They've hosted several of these events, so I'm sure they're aware of the numbers. They should adjust and maybe add 1 more bartender and an additional server/busser. I'd patronize again on an off night and I'd sit at the bar. SYOY!

Cool little spot. Stopped in here for a quick dinner before taking in a show at the nearby Baltimore Symphony Orchestra. It's walking distance so if you plan ahead, you can avoid traffic, have a nice meal before the show, and only pay for parking once. We were in and out. The Mozzarella Sticks, Kimchi Tots and Burger were all decent. No complaints.

Wet city is such a fun late night bar to go to after a day of drinking to have to yummy bar food to sober up (or soak of the alcohol to drink some more because they have great cocktails ). My friend and I came here and were so blown away by how massive the mozzarella sticks were !!! It was epic. And of course I had to get the kimchi tator tots, it's like all of my favorite things in one delicious bowl. How can you go wrong?? We had such a great time, I literally woke up the next morning wearing a hoodie that I apparently bought because tipsy me thought it was an AHHHHH! Real Monsters hoodie. Would definitely recommend popping in here.

The vibe is a hip chic brewery with a bunch of beer on tap. It's dimly lit and service is very friendly. The wings and burger were tasty. I'd come again but for the price I have to give my nod elsewhere in mount vernon.

Wet City is an awesome spot to hang out! The bartenders I've met are very friendly and accommodating. There is a decent amount of bar seating as well as table seating. For food, I've tried their giant mozzarella sticks which are tasty and delightfully cheesy, and have tried their Tuesday special Crunchwrap, which was very delicious and filling (shared with my partner!). They have a good variety of beers and also liquor if you'd prefer a cocktail! Overall, this is a great local spot and will definitely be back!

Wet city is a local downtown gem. Very casual bar scene that still has a restaurant level quality about it. The cocktails are good and the food is good as well. Service is always pleasant.

It's been years since I first went to Wet City, and I was a Yelp Elite back then. Not sure why I never wrote a review before now [shrugs]. That said, I visited Wet City this past Sunday, 6/29 to attend a listening party of The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill. I came closer to the start of the event and thus I was able to secure a stool at the bar. I like the looks of Wet City - I'd visited this space before it was Wet City and it was in the dive bar category back then, dark and a wee bit gross. However, Wet City is light and bright. Off-white walls and light toned wood (birch???) furniture and fixtures. It gives me Scandinavian vibes, made even better by the awesome art adorning most walls in Wet City. I went with a suggested sour beer, which was OK. Unfortunately I tasted a better beer after I ordered the other, but I'll go back another time for it. Additionally, I ordered a burger which came with fries. There was a bit of delay with my food coming out which was fine given the crowd. The burger was really good! Unfortunately the fries were oversalted and I had to send them back. They came back out with no salt, which was frustrating. Don't swing to the other side of the pendulum, I just want the middle, sheesh. Overall, not a bad visit, but could be better. I'd return to improve my star rating.

I've been to wet city a couple times. They are very consistent in just providing a nice vibe. I got wings, garlic parm to be specific, and they were really good! Their wings must be popular because they ran out the day I was there. They have a full bar and really make custom cocktails. I had a glass of wine then asked the bartender to make a drink he thought I'd enjoy, he made a drink with a custom syrup he had just created. Very good! I will definitely be back!

Visited Wet City for Evening Ritual Vinyl Listening Session: SADE Definitely a more mature crowd for the event, well appreciated. We listened to both sides of SADE debut album "Diamond Life" with open discussion at the end. We ordered the hot lemon pepper wings snd Mediterranean Caesar Salad. Top tier. Cole and Casey were the absolute BEST!

    Shani L.

Great venue for album listening parties. Smooth mature vibes and lighting. Great for 30+ plus crowd music heads. The menu is diverse and pretty good. Only two bathrooms, so management has to keep cleaner with air fresheners. Street parking is pretty easy. Extra points for art.

Where do I begin?! Wet city is a beautiful gem! I love that it is a place for everyone; date night, friends, and I've even seen families come in and eat. The owner is so kind and personable and helpful when it gets busy. I love the themed music nights!!! It's a good time!! Wing night is exceptional! They partnered with the Sauce King himself Mr Monroe to bring you a top tier wing. The Caesar salad with the chickpeas are chef's kiss!! The purple marg is a hit and the beer selection has something for everyone. Thanks Wet City for always making me feel welcomed!

My friend recommended the kimchi tater tots, and they were surprisingly delicious. The fermented sourness of the kimchi balanced perfectly with the starchy richness of the potatoes.

I'll start off by saying the staff were super nice and helpful with ordering- The drinks my friend and myself got were very bland not much taste at all we got a blue and a pink seltzer kind of drink I can't remember the names of the drinks- might have been Peach, Blue Hibiscus, Mint, Thirst and swoon? My friend said hers was interesting- she couldn't taste the mint- and mine (the pink) didn't taste much like anything- I wish I got the lil smoochie- my other friend said it was delicious. I also got the pickles to go which came out 20 minutes after my friends tator tots came out- but they were the BEST fried pickles I have ever had- The ambiance was chill and the decor was super cute- it was clean and modern. I'll be coming back to try other things on the menu for sure!

And I love that they give back to the community in areas such as education, community and philanthropy. Stopped in this past Saturday with a bunch of my gym friends. I love that their tap list offers a little bit of everything for everyone, from classic lagers and IPA to house ciders. I am a Pilsner girl, so their Pilsner was my fave. I love that they do weekly events such as Trivia and open mic nights to name a few as well as host a few several food trucks out back. Oh and this is the spot where they have that really nice flea market as well. You have to check their Instagram page to see which food trucks will be serving food. Saturday they had empanadas from Aru Aru, which were very yummy and made fresh to order. Best spot if you are a beer connoisseur, great place for happy hours and is accommodating for large parties. I was expecting the class to be held in the corner of a pub or restaurant. My brain took awhile to process the fact that this business is actually located in the massive St. Michael's Church despite Waze & my iPhone announcing that I had arrived. Because I walked around the block 2x, searching for the business, now I had to rush to my seat & learn. I found my party near the back of the church. I had to focus on the task at hand which wasn't easy using metal nibs and an inkwell. :) Maybe I could've channeled the country's founding fathers if I had a quill pen made of goose and turkey feathers. Back to the business... Ministry of Brewing has an impressive craft brewery operation onsite, offers countless varieties of beer including seasonal offerings, cider, lagers and IPAs. While forming pretty letters my brain pressed me on the question of if it's slightly sacrilegious to drink & carry on in a church. The answer is no. This place was restored and now functions as a huge community gathering spot with people talking, playing games, and enjoying bites from the food trucks. I have friends really into good beer. Plus I may have to take a few more classes to improve, nevertheless I'll definitely return.

During our conversation, I mentioned that my wife absolutely loved a specialty burger from his previous restaurant. That restaurant closed several years ago, and the burger isn't on Nepenthe's menu. Without hesitation, Chef Andrew told me that if I gave him some advance notice and brought her in, he would get the ingredients and make it especially for her. So that's exactly what I did for her birthday. When the burger arrived, my wife was genuinely surprised. Chef Andrew even added a candle to the plate to make the occasion extra special. The burger was everything she remembered. She often says she compares every burger she eats to that one, but had resigned herself to the idea that she'd never have it again. Bravo, Chef Andrew. What makes this story even more remarkable is that I had only met him once before. This wasn't something I asked him to do--he was the one who suggested it. That's the kind of hospitality is something I'll never forget. The food at Nepenthe is consistently good, and the atmosphere is fun, lively, and full of energy. It's a great spot for happy hours, trivia nights, and group gatherings. I'll never forget the kindness and hospitality we experienced. This is Baltimore hospitality at its finest.

For ambiance, Peabody Heights is located in the old location of Oriole Park, and it plays to that history perfectly by having a mural dedicated to baseball players of the Orioles past. The main space is also HUGE, featuring tables of varying group size, two bar areas, an outdoor courtyard featuring their own food truck, a private party area, and even more that I'll feature in the fun section!. For beers, I was enjoying IPAs, pilsners, lagers, porters, stouts, and then some. I even had a sour beer that was a vibrant blue color! But them being partnered with Charm City directly across the street meant that I was also enjoying damn good meads, and they also had good cocktails and NA options. The food truck banged out Asian American fusion comfort food that you could order from either your phone or an indoor tablet with ease. And my shrimp scallion pancakes and Korean corn dog were absolute bangers! For fun, Peabody has not one but TWO awesome arcade spaces. The first one I entered was a huge and satisfying PINBALL ALERT, and I happily spent all the cash I was carrying playing the Quest and Pokemon pinball tables. But when I pulled back the last door I walked through around last call, I was also absolutely blown away by their HUGE arcade room that featured any kind of arcade game imaginable (shooting, fighting, car racing, MORE pinball, etc) and a second bar space. Highly recommend this spot for groups looking for a place to gather and socialize. The space is deceivingly large; there are multiple indoor spaces all within a quick stride from a long bar with dozens of beer taps. The outdoor space is even larger than what's available indoors; their vast street level patio/deck space is full of picnic tables and benches that are perfect for larger groups when the weather is nice. And yes, their outdoor patio is pet friendly. While the brewery itself doesn't serve food, there was a food truck (that looked to be there quite often) set up in the outdoor area that had several good options. I had their burger and fries which was exactly what I needed after an afternoon of brews. The beer itself was tasty; I had several of their hazy IPA's which I've grown to enjoy. They also offer a very solid selection of N/A beer options; some of the folks in our group enjoyed them and gave them great reviews. I didn't get a chance to check out the arcade portion of the brewery, but yes, this is a barcade as well. If you're looking for an inclusive, energetic brewery to check out, definitely keep Peabody on your list.

The food then took around 25-30 minutes to come out, which felt very long since we were on a tight schedule for our flight. When the food finally arrived, I ordered the macaroni and cheese, and unfortunately it was the worst mac and cheese I've ever had. I don't want to be mean, but it was very bland and really needed salt. My sister surprisingly liked it, but it just wasn't for me at all. The rest of my family did enjoy their meals, and I thought the fries were decent, just lightly seasoned. My mom especially liked the grilled cheese. The waiter himself was nice and kept our drinks refilled, so I don't think the long wait was entirely his fault. The restaurant is very cute inside with cozy, old-style vibes and festive Christmas decorations, which I really liked. However, between the long wait times, the limited menu, and my disappointing mac and cheese, I wouldn't recommend that dish. Overall, it's a charming place, but the service was too slow for us--especially when trying to catch a flight.
