You got me good, Wetherlaine's. One look at your website and I was convinced that this place would be and ode to 1980s design in both the venue and the menu, when in fact you're a delightfully pubtacular with knick knacks and signage all over! I was impressed by the number of people that can fit into this wee space (a good combination of high tops and booth seating), and even good for groups our party of six! The menu is massively long (very few veg-options, I had to get a sandwich and remove the meat myself), but offers some impressive pub grub. Buffalo chicken nachos, buffalo chicken alfredo, buffalo chicken wraps and sandwiches - - - this is man food prime time. Our party ordered cheesy spinach jumbo ravioli's (super saucy mmm) and Cajun spice kettle chips (too spicy for this chick!). For the main meal I selected "the Works" sandwich: 3 types of cheese, onions, peppers, lettuce on an onion bun (I asked for no mushrooms and for chicken instead of beef....but the chicken was dry so I removed it). Served with a pickle and EITHER fries/chips/coleslaw/potato (why can't I have fries AND 'slaw??? - grrrrr). It was alright for $9. Hungry for more, I inquired about dessert. I'm a sucker for bread pudding and ALMOST ordered it...until I was told that the food supplier (Sysco) had supplied the restaurant with the finished goods (soo....it's pre-packed and built to withstand time? . . . . I'll save my calories, and my palette, the waste, thanks). In need of SOMETHING sweet, I decided on a $1 cookie (ALSO not freshly baked, but warmed up in attempt to simulate freshness) - usually they have 3 options for cookiedom, on our night they only had "two chocolate chip cookies left" (since your LAST shipment?! good god! why can't you just bake them fresh?!). Great bar atmosphere - not too loud, good music playing in the background, a very nice martini, cocktail, margarita, and wine list (and then, of course, there's beer! *no pitchers, though*). My orange-pineapple margarita was $6.50 (nice!) and perfectly smooth. Not fantastic for food snobbery (apparently I've been spoiled by experiences of freshly-cooked local ingredients). Growing up in attleboro, we always passed by weatherlanes. I never really went in until a few years back. At the time it was eh, and I wasn't sure if I would go back. We went back a few times since we lived close by and overall we enjoyed our experience. Recently we have gone back with a group of friends and we had a good time. Foods that topped our list was the buffalo shrimp, nachos, calamari and ribs! It did take a while to get our cocktails but we did have 12 people in our party. I absolutely love it here! We've been coming here for years. There are some servers that are friendlier than others but all in all, great service, great food and great value! We always go here because of the extraordinary selection. There truly is something for everyone. However, in the evening, the townies come out and it can get quite rowdy. There was once a full bar fight right next to the dining area. If I had brought children, I would have been mortified by the behavior and horrific language. Dinner was OK. I had the steak tips which were clearly marinated in Italian dressing. they were juicy and cooked fine. the green beans were crunchier than my fries. I ordered the carrot cake which they are famous for to go. much to my surprise, the piece of cake was enormous. My boyfriend took me to Weatherlane's for the first time for dinner a week ago, and it was overall a really good experience. The waitress was very friendly and attentive. We got the Tuesday Date Night Special which consists of an appetizer to share and two meals for $25. We had the mushroom caps with s eafood stuffing and parmesan for the app, and they were spectacular. For dinner, my boyfriend had the steak tips, which were a little bland, but otherwise fine--and I had the fish and chips. The fish was fried perfectly and the waitress was very nice about substituting a vegetable for me because I'm not a big fan of coleslaw. A very downhome, comfortable atmosphere. This place was a banger. It seemed like a local hangout, because I sat at the bar and everyone knew everyone else's names. Everyone was very friendly, & the burger I got was awesome. I'm from out of town and a friend took me here while I was visiting. What a great experience! The food was so fresh and delicious and the service was amazing. Our server, Jane, had her hands full with a large table but still gave us great service and made sure we had everything we needed. Even my picky 10 year old was happy. Good food, good deals, and great service. The Cobb salad was huge and very tasty. The Teriyaki chicken was good too. It was a Sunday so we got to choose which deal we wanted and decided on the date night Tuesday so we received two entrees and an app for $25. The app was stuffed mushrooms which was also good. The only drawback was the seating is a little crammed and my wife sat underneath the TV during a football game so she felt like everyone was watching her. Wetherlaine's pub is a small, something for everyone family restaurant. It has a great warm atmosphere. Skylights bring in natural light as you walk in. The staff here is friendly, and outgoing. Our server took our order, then came back over to confirm one of our sandwich sides. She could have guessed, but she did the right thing by just asking. The menu is one of the largest I've ever seen.151 items not including the kids menu. Also, it wasn't that busy albeit it was a Sunday. I hear Friday, Saturday is their busy days. This leads me to believe there could be a problem with keeping food fresh. But I could be wrong. So I went with a safe choice. Bacon Bleu Burger. I also ordered the stuffed mushroom caps as an appetizer. The apps came in a timely fashion. The mushrooms are typical white mushrooms stuffed with old fashioned "seafood" filling. The stuffing is 90% filler, and they were microwaved to perfection lol. Good, if you're at the bar drunk, but not as a normal app. My burger came a few mins after we finished the mushrooms, its big and filling. Few down sides, the lettuce was warm, like it was under the heat lamp for a while and rotten. Also, there was no tomato. Not a big deal though. All in all, it was an enjoyable experience. My husband and I went to Wetherlaine's for lunch and were very happy we did! I had the bacon cheeseburger on the lunch menu which was smaller than their normal burgers and came with a handful of fries. Only $7 and just the right size lunch for me. Tasty and cooked well. My husband had one of their regular sized burgers (the Bayou - huge!) cooked to a perfect medium and he says spicy and delicious. Cozy place with very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Very delicious French Onion soup, not too salty. I love coming here! they always have great specials and deals going on during the week and late night but even if you miss a deal the food is always a good price. I've been going here for many years, think back to when it was Jermiars. There are plenty of good appetizers to choose from. The stuffed mushrooms or the combo are always a good bet. The Nachos are good and enough for 3-4 people easily. Onion rings are thin, crispy and piled very high. The French Onion Soup is done exactly as it should be. The sandwich selection is excellent. They make a good Reuben. You can get a burger nearly anyway you like. Seafood Casserole is always good. Their chili is made from the same prime rib that they serve. Speaking of which, the steaks are very good for the price. I usually get a filet when I am in the mood for steak there. It's never disappointed. The service is friendly and quick . There's parking right around the building and another gravel lot across the street. They have a lot of "time" specials where you can get a hell of a discount on appetizers or small entrees. Those times are usually what would be slow for restaurants in general and maybe outside of your normal dining hours. read more

I ordered the Fried Pickle Chips to start- fantastic! The chipotle sauce that comes with them is a delicious companion. For my main meal, I got the Bourbon Street Filet medium rare and it was perfectly cooked. The mashed potatoes that came with them were deliciously creamy and I also enjoyed the green beans (wished they still had the grilled zucchini though). The mudpie, which is house made, was amazing. I went to Weatherlaines last evening. My husband ordered a manhattan cocktail. When our dinner arrived he ask for a second manhattan he was told they had a one manhattan limit per person. We have been going there for years with no such limitations. My husband always has two manhattans when we go to any other restaurant. This really upset both me and my husband. This is a ridiculous policy. It is up to the person serving to determine if the person should not be served any more alcohol this was clearly not the case. This has always been one of our favorite places to grab dinner and a drink. This is clearly going to hurt their business. We will think twice before returning. We go out weekly to dinner and never have experienced anything like this. Very disappointed!!!!! read more

It was a little busy, but the wait staff, one of whom knew my friend well from Bliss, was friendly and welcoming. The issues, however, were the kitchen and the management. Not only did my friends dinner come out 20 min before mine, it was overlooked & dry - it was a PIZZA. I ordered the chipotle salad with crab cakes. My friend was half done his meal by the time mine came out. I wasn't hungry & his kids were done eating! I told them that I didn't want it; that I wasn't hungry cause I was picking at the other food. The manager that night, Sunday, March 10th, decides to make a point & make us pay for an entree that the kitchen screwed up. Not only that, but whoever he or she was they were too much of a wimp to tell us themselves & sent the already embarrassed waitress out to tell us. Now, trust me, I know that if we never go there they will not go under, but I WILL NEVER GO THERE AGAIN & will tell whoever will listen that the place sucks. Food was terrible. Kitchen looked dirty. Bland food every course. Pre-toasted roll for my burger and the burger was dry, too, even though it was medium rare, which made me think they pre-cooked the burger. When I poured steak sauce on my burger it spilled out all over my plate because it had been watered down. The fries were greasy and soft and had no flavor (other than all of that dirty grease they were cooked in). It was obvious neither the wait staff nor the cooks had any pride whatsoever in what they do for a living. I know this review sounds like a bit much, but it is all true, unfortunately. read more

I was a regular at Wetherlaines "back in the day, " and we really loved it, but I haven't been to the restaurant in a while. Our first night back we were shocked at the change. Our bartender was not friendly at all. We ordered nacho chips and cheese and received the comment "You know that sour cream and salsa isn't included." She was always angry. When ordering our last drink she said, "We don't have frozen mugs, I'll have to use your old mugs," as if our drink order was an inconvenience. Overall, a very negative experience. I wanted to hang out and chill, but we even had to cue her in that a Celtics game was playing. This was our first time here & it was very disappointing. We were given menus for Monday & Tuesday which was odd since we came on a Sunday night. We ordered burgers for dinner which came with onion rings & one side (which was not listed on the menu). Our server rattled off the sides to us and we chose the coleslaw. I must say that it was the most interesting take on coleslaw....very sweet & bland. On the positive side, the diet soda we ordered was good but we had to ask for refills. Not a good sign.
