The guy changed my battery while I waited and did so fast and efficiently -- there was a bracket…read moreholding down my battery that corporate apparently doesn't want their employees to mess with -- but the guy who changed my battery explained everything and made an exception, which I appreciated so I didn't have to change it myself. I'm glad I have an older car -- would you believe that newer cars won't accept a new battery until you register it or something with the car's computer? Think I'm showing my age but I digress. One thing I recommend is to keep your car running for a while or drive it around as a new battery sitting for a while can lose charge. Don't turn it off right away. It chugged a bit to start the second time but did so and after driving for 15 I was good to go. The store is well organized and clean. Great variety of supplies -- much easier than hunting on Amazon. Good to see brick and mortar stores like this that hold their own. You can even pick up some Lucas CLP and an "Extreme Duty" needle oiler, which is stocked right across from the register as you walk in. That's a nice touch :)

I had been noticing my truck starting just a little bit differently than usual over the past couple of days and my first thought was the battery was starting to go. Truck is a 2022 and has about 80,000 miles so I knew it was getting to be that time. Not having a ton of time before the weekend I stopped by O'Reilly and parked right up front. Dillon and the other guy were both assisting customers so when he was free I asked if he could test my battery to confirm my suspicion. Dillon asked if I minded waiting until the other guy wrapped up assisting someone outside so I hung around for a few minutes. Once the other employee came back in, Dillon grabbed his tester and came with me to my truck to test it. Sure enough, he said it failed the test and we went back inside so he could check which battery I needed. He looked the battery up quickly and made his suggestion for the recommended one that comes with a 4-year warranty. I paid for the battery and asked if he minded me swapping it out right there. He lent me a socket wrench, a 10mm and a 13mm and within about ten minutes I was carrying my old battery back in. It was a great experience and it was cool being able to talk cars a bit with Dillon while he was helping me out. It's always great having positive experiences in stores like this and is what keeps me frequenting the same stores over and over again. O'Reilly is a fantastic store for auto parts and assistance but guys like Dillon make it an even better experience.

The explosion woke me up in the middle of the night and gave me flashbacks to my military service. The company won't repair the parts of my RV that I live in. I don't understand why their customer service representative and Claims representative wouldn't just buy me three new batteries rather than forcing me to go to court. Made an online appointment for a tire repair. Showed up and they helped me right on time. They checked my tire and found no leak in tire. But did notice some tire rim issues where the leak is probably occurring. Riley showed me my rim (and I was able to give the info to my mechanic or buy new rim, yes!). Great care and customer service! He is the nicest person!! They reseated my tire. I was in/out in 20 minutes. Tire inspections and repairs are free. I still get their certificates for piece of mind. And I've gotten a giant bolt in my tire in the past, and everything was covered with certificates (new tire). Restaurants and stores within walking distance while you wait.

He asked us how we were moving and we mentioned we were going to drive 5 hours away to pick up a rental truck in a different state (because online rates quoted over $2000 more to rent from San Diego). Sam said he could rent us the same size truck for only 200 dollars more than the out-of-state rate (200 was the price of gas for us to pick up the truck in another state and drive it back). We've never experienced kindness like this from anyone. Sam is the real deal. If we weren't moving out of state, we'd use this location a million more times. That price matching saved us two days of driving so we could focus on nothing but packing before the move. He saved a new truck for us, which gives serious peace of mind for a move from the South West to the tippy top of the North East.
