This location is in a mall so it's always busy. The lines are always long and it's right next to the kids play area so it's always loud. The staff is usually very young and never friendly. They try to get through the line as quickly as possible. I don't mind though, the line goes fast and the pretzels come out quick. This time around I ordered two and the first one was pretty good. Not burnt and still warm and soft in the middle. The second one was just a mistake all around. It was over cooked and basically crumbled each time I snapped a piece off. I asked for both to be salted and the second pretzel had barely any. I always get the jalapeño cheese dipping sauce which is always nice and warm and cheesy with a little spice to it. Our order was pretzel bites and a pretzel. Step 1. The girl taking the order was akin to hugging a porcupine. Not friendly, not engaging, not happy, just there to take the order which brings me to step 2. Step 2. Prepare the food.....poorly. In our case, we had one pretzel bite that was partially fossilized and stale, while most were cooked on the outside but still dough on the inside. The pretzel was also cooked on the outside but raw dough on the inside. Step 3. Drown all of the product in butter flavored oil that isn't really that tasty. There was so much oil we were able to ring out drops by squeezing the pretzel. Step 4. Put the oil drenched partially cooked product into the bag and do not include a single napkin for what would become oil invasion that we are still trying to remove. I still hours later smell the artificial butter smell on my hands...which strangely is making me hungry. Advice- we were considering the nugget but didn't go there because of cost. Well it turns out that the nugget would have been cheaper and actually well executed. There is a reason this place has low ratings, there are other choices. I go to wetzel pretzel almost every time I go to the mall. I only go because my daughter loves this place. Today I was standing in front of the register while the staff was being spoken to by a staff member. It took awhile before staff acknowledged me. I think this should have been done at another time. Shopping at the mall can be tiring. Sometimes, you need to refuel with a tasty treat. Thus, Wetzel's Pretzels. I came by for an awesome, original, salted pretzel. Some had just got done in their little oven so we were eye ballin those. A girl named Ivana helped me. She was cute and smiley, and she asked if I wanted to get one of their slushie drinks. I paused because I hadn't thought about that. It sounded refreshing. I ended up with this amazing concoction she made up, mango and strawberry mixed. It tasted so wonderful! I also speed some awesome cheddar cheese sitting in the window. It was nice and warmed up, so I got that too. My pretzel was soft, easily pulled apart, and not too salty. They do have more varieties of pretzels, such as pepperoni...I think they have minis, too. I went to purchase a wetzel pretzel with my 2 year old it was our first trip back to the mall and I love the pretzels. Yes! Pretzel wrapped hot dogs! This is a Roseville Mall larger kiosk food stand type place. They have a good selection of wrapped dogs and are pretty quick getting them out. Just a bit pricey but its a mall stand and i think they are worth it. The staff has been friendly which is nice compared to some of the other mall food court places. This is located next to the little play place in the mall. They served us quick and got our order right; what more could you ask for??? Tasty food? Well, they have that too. I got the little bitz with salt and they were sooo yummy...better than what I expected. The outside was crispy and the inside was doughy soft...just right...and they slather it with butter which made them taste that much more better...even though butter and dough isn't good for you...but today, I wasn't really watching what I was eating. I work literally right next to the location across from fuego. I can see their kiosk all day long from my store and I cave in at least 2 times a week. Sometimes 3 or 4. Ive been getting pretzels here for about 4 years working in the mall. A few days ago I ordered what I ALWAYS order with no issues. I get pretzel bites w sour cream and onion podwer and salt. The girl was super rude and said "oh I cant do two toppings" i kindly.let her know i have been getting that for 2 years. Its just a little salt. She said she would have to charge me for the salt. I am pretty irritated at this because they take home huge bags of pretzels all the time after they close probably with salt, but they are going to charge me extra for somethig they have been doing for 2 years. They took some pretzel bites out and asked if i was gunna accept the extra charge, i said no. I went to the other location and they gave it to me no hassle. Its more irritating that i got my coworker on salted sour cream and onion bites and had walked in later with those pretzel bites with salt on them for no extra charge on her reciept. I wish I could rate this place zero stars. It was almost two hours til closing yet the cashier lady thought it was the end of her shift. The line wasn't long, yet still received horrible service. The choices is as simple as it gets. I noticed they always have a good looking girl standing infront passing out samples. I stopped by the pretzel shop and got a cup of pretzels with their jalapeño cheese dip. I was always used to pretzel time so the nacho cheese type did was not as good as pretzel time's. The pretzels were warm and salted appropriately. I just can't eat pretzels without nacho cheese. This fake nacho cheese jalapeño cheese dip just didn't do it for me.
