Been wanting to try this place for at least a year or more and today we finally were able to make the stop! First thing, the location is tucked away so if you pull up and think it's not there anymore just park and walk into the little alcove/ally and it's right there. It is small but has tables set up outside to enjoy your dog and enjoy it you will! Hubs, little and I each got a 1/4 all beef dog some chips and a drink and everything was devoured- great flavor and perfect size for us we each decided on our own toppings (the spice house sauce is a must!!!) service was top notch, helped us with the menu and what the difference in sizing of the dogs were; all while keeping a lovely conversation going with us! Hotdogs were a little crisp and super juicy, and there were lots of toppings to choose from. 2nd star: Kid behind the counter was super cheerful and fun to talk to 3rd star: Location is great, easy walk to DT Bellevue park afterwards to walk off dinner and there a few cute wooden tables in the breezeway outside the shop 4th star: Price is great. Unfortunately, I got sick later only because I have a dairy allergy and my husband watched the kid spread cream cheese on his bun (with some getting on his gloves) and then reaching in to the corn to grab a handful, so any of the toppings could have been contaminated if this is normal behavior. For 99% of people, this isn't a problem! (We were tired and he didn't think to mention it till this morning, well after we had eaten.) I stopped by on a weekday for a quick lunch. The location was easy to find, but just a warning that the parking lot can get a little crowded. There is plenty of seating outside or you can order to go. The owner was very kind and welcoming. I also appreciated that all of the food is halal. I ordered the 1/4 pound hot dog. Sometimes nothing hits the spot like a hot dog. I started out with a very basic hot dog, with just mustard and relish. It was fantastic. Take his suggestion - get the bun grilled. So good that way. Next I got a basic hot dog with onions and ketchup. Also very good. Next, I'm going to try his special sauce, but the key is to start with great meat, and a great bun. Outstanding hot dogs! Definitely go here. I love grill lines in the dogs and these have them. They also grill up the buns. The best part of this place for me besides that it's all made to order and the owner is super cool and aims to please, is that you can actually choose which size hot dog you want. I personally like a smaller meat ratio for bread and toppings. So I loved that I could choose the 1/8th size dog instead of the 1/4 size. But if you like a lot of meat, those thicker hot dogs would suit your taste. There's plenty of sauce and topping options, and I especially loved that there is both dill and sweet relish. Like I said it seems like they aim to please. I like the outside picnic table seating it suits the food options here. I placed an online order but couldn't make it in for a few hours. Joe (the owner, I imagine) kept my order even though I wouldn't have blamed him for throwing it out after such a long delay. And just because of the type of guy that he is- also made me another of the same order when I showed up, so that I'd have a fresher meal, and a spare to have later, and wouldn't let me pay for the extra free meal. The dogs were incredible, even reheated a day later. I planned to just pop in and grab my food, but ended up talking to him for 45 minutes. I will be back for the food, but even if I'm not hungry, I would go back just to spend some time talking with him.
