Parking is abundant. Service was pleasant. Food was great, we truly enjoyed it- great job by the "kitchen mastermind" (chef). We shall be back!

I love going to Island Pacific and saw that there was a seafood boil place next door so I wanted to try it out, and I would say that it was good. I don't know about life changing but it was definitely super worth, good bang for your buck!! No one was there when we went on a Thursday night. We ordered the Fisherman's Half Bounty, and it was such a good portion between two people. I would even say you can share between 3 people depending on your appetite (and the sides you get). We got the crab mentality sauce ?? or whatever their house sauce was called and it was interesting. Definitely tasted unique and it took me a while to like it but I definitely did like it. The mild wasn't bad, still a little kick but I think I'd prefer medium next time. The decor is super cute and I loved the little vibes. Very lowkey and the server was nice. Overall I'd come back, I definitely want to try some other flavors. Also, I wouldn't order the mango float again. It was just some mango icecream over sprite and we personally weren't that big of fans. Cajun fries were delicious. Anyways, we will definitely be back to try some other sauces!

This is our go to when we are in the mood for seafood. Sauce is delicious and seafood is fresh. The seating is clean and service is always friendly, especially with Carmina. Drink is free refill too if dining in. Would definitely recommend.

I was so proud to suggest this new seafood restaurant Crab Mentality, a part of the newly opened Filipino owned, Island Pacific Supermarket, located in Los Angeles! The GLAR (Greater Los Angeles Association of Realtors) was looking for a restaurant to highlight Philippines as a retirement and investment option and after going through 4 locations, this came the perfect choice! Location was perfect, just a few minutes from the Philippine Trade and Investment Office, it was easy for our guest speaker, Com. Eric Elnar. Ample parking and its free, next to the supermarket that carried a lot of fresh seafood, meat and produce. Food was freshly made and reasonable and the open Kitchen was very clean and efficient service plus the place was spacious good for 40-50 seats and take out counter was snappy too. the Manager and his crew were very friendly, accommodating and gave us personal service! Menu had great variety too!

Fried Calamari Basket (Ate most of it before I remembered to photograph it)

This restaurant has a counter and several booths and tables but there is a server that comes to your table. The fried calamari was fresh and paired well with the sauces that were given. The fisherman's catch has a pound of shrimp, a pound of mussels, some sausages, some potatoes and corn. We chose the cajun sauce. This was really filling for 2 people. The seafood pasta looked promising but was kinda bland (reason for not giving 5 stars). We had soda with our food. There is no fountain here. They give you bottles and cans. Service was quick and helpful. We asked for a bag to take the rest of our boil to go and the waitress bagged it up for us. Overall we were happy with our food and service.

We used…read moreto go to the location in San Pedro before it closed for construction and then we ended up finding this location which is much closer! Parking can be a bit tough at times because it's always packed! The restaurant has a lot of seating as well as a patio outside! They have a pretty decent size menu and a lot to choose from! When you walk in you wait in line and if you're ordering fish, you can pick out which one you want. After they write up your order, you pay and then they will call your number when it's ready! We normally order the tilapia fish, Camarones enchipotlados, the shrimp tempura plate, garlic bread and steamed rice. There hasn't been one time where I left hungry! They give you good portions and everything is so tasty. The fish is cooked to perfection, the shrimp and the chipotle sauce is to die for and the tempura shrimp are so yummy! Overall, this is a place where you could come over and over again and never get tired of it! If you're looking for great seafood in the LA area, definitely checkout Alaska Seafood, they will not disappoint!

Customer service was nonexistent and they wrote nasty things about my dispute. I'm sure that they have good fish, but they didn't send it to me. I spent my early life as a seafood harvester and have the best king salmon from the Alaskan Waters so I have a good idea of quality. Their product did not measure up.

THIS PLACE is always good everytime I've gone but I think they improved from the previous years because the banchan was so interesting !! I never had a fish head + deeply braised radish that was perfectly salty spicy and sweet. The spicy rice cake portion was huge ! My friend and I were super full leaving and extremely satisfied. 10/10 recommend for uni bowls + raw crab lovers. I prefer the korean crab but the spicy one just goes so well together. Absolutely amazing service ! Super kind and helpful. Small cozy restaurant not here for the aesthetics of the atmosphere more here for the aesthetically pleasing food + delicious taste. The soy crab and spicy crab both have their strengths, I would recommend the spicy crab if you need the sauce to hide a little bit of the fishiness of the crab. For those who don't like raw crab, the crab soup had a deep crab flavor and tasted very comforting and homemade. Since it was our first time, the server was very helpful and gave us recommendations. One crab is definitely enough for two people, especially with all the delicious side dishes that it comes with. While they give you gloves and a bib, come prepared to make a mess and get into the shells! It's hard work, but it's definitely a great group experience and is perfect for chatting with friends. This was a great meal and you could definitely taste the quality of the crab!

I've been wanting to try this place for ages, so I finally stopped in for lunch this week. I had my…read moredog with me, so we sat outside. It was perfectly pleasant, though be warned: foot traffic passes just a few feet away. I kicked things off with a martini, which was excellent--surprisingly generous by today's standards and a real deal at $12. For starters, I had the Caesar salad. Think tuxedo at a pool party: definitely overdressed. But it was delicious, and I'd order it again--just with light dressing. The fish sandwich was fine, nothing more. I couldn't help thinking McDonald's might edge them out on the Filet-O-Fish (though it's been decades, so who knows). It wasn't bad; I'd just try something different next time.

Parking is brutal in the area so expect to be circling around for a bit. They have a late happy hour which are half off oysters which is nice! We tried a set of raw oysters - rockefeller, small but might in flavor and meatiness. Shucking was done well too. Grilled octopus - pricey for the amount you get, but cooked well. Accompaniments like potatoes were OK, but could have more mushroom. Shell pasta - the pasta was homemade cause it tasted so light. I think the sauce was a little too light for me as well, but overall still a solid dish. Cioppino - Also a little lighter in flavor and I think just smaller in size in comparison to price. Seafood is fresh though, and that's clear in every dish here. Lonely Louie - the star of the night. I loved how fresh and bright this was. Everything mixed so well together and would definitely be getting this again. Atlantic Pie - their version of a key lime pie and was a tangy, nice finisher to the meal.
