I have always wanted to try Whataburger, but there are none even close to our home state. On our way home from Orange Beach, Alabama, and finally got the chance. The Bacon Steakhouse Double was really good and full of flavor. The bun was soft and held the burgers together perfectly. The fries were thin and crispy. And you can get regular (fancy) or spicy ketchup. I was pleasantly surprised. The dude from the kitchen literally ran food out to the customers. Service was great compared to every other fast food restaurant. I would definitely stop again. read more

Our road trip lunch stop was at Whataburger. First time and not sure if we were just really hungry the food was great! My three boys enjoyed their burgers and commented that they were delicious. My hubby had spicy chicken and gave it a good review as well. My grilled chicken was juicy and delicious. Customer service was excellent! Our cashier was friendly and went above and beyond. The food I got was not warm and it tasted ABSOLUTELY AWFUL. What a burger!!! We visited south & east coast for a week for my daughter's graduation and "Whataburger" was on our to try list. This chain is very popular in the south just like In-N-Out on West Coast. As we left Florida towards Alabama this WhataBurger happened to be right at the state line between the two states. We walked in at lunch time and they were very packed inside and nobody was wearing a muzzle except the employees... never seen so much freedom by not wearing a non-useful muzzle!!! Restaurant was clean and employees were super friendly. We ordered our food, fries + drinks and all was ready in less than 10 min. Now onto the food.... My goodness the burgers were soooo delicious and beats In-N-Out any day of the week by a mile. The meat was very tender and juicy... fries were good also. My husband and I stopped at this location on our way into the beach. While we were waiting for our food, the employees had three fairly rude customers to deal with. They kept working diligently and tried to satisfy the customers' requests all while swallowing their pride while listening to the customers' attitudes. There was not one person in the back of that kitchen that wasn't working. The guy who looked to be the manager/lead even was handing the customers lids to their cups as he was restocking and making sure to check on the status of our order. This business has gone downhill. They are slow serving your food and if you order chicken you are ALWAYS asked to pull forward and wait. If this were a restaurant that would be completely understandable however they are fast food. I have been given the wrong order numerous times. I used to love to eat at this location. This quaint little town is nestled so nicely on the Florida/Alabama line just south of Flomaton, Alabama (not too far from Atmore where the casino is!) and it is on a sneaky little backroad way to Ft. Walton Beach. This particular location is actually one of my landmarks for where I turn to get on Florida 4 over to Milton. I am very fond of this location and the food is always hot and delicious and fast. It has become a tradition to stop by here on my way there or back; either way it doesn't matter. read more

By far some of the poorest service I have received at a fast food restaurant. First, the drive through operator was extremely rude because he said he could not hear me, so it must be my truck. I asked to just come to the window, but he kept saying there are cars there (there were 2). It was really the 18 wheeler blocking most of the drive thru and running while they unloaded it. Not only was he rude, but when asking questions the worker shut the window before I could answer. After more rude interactions, we finally got our food...which took much longer than normal. Upon opening it, after leaving the parking lot and going down the street, I found out that we were missing 2 orders of fries. I was intrigued by all the offerings, and just wanted to taste for myself if it lives up to the hype. I definitely wish Whataburger was in GA even though we are Burger saturated the product and experience was great. Food is consistently hot, fresh, and ready on time, and kudos to the young man that works the window in the morning because he has great customer service skills.
