I grow up in the area and Whataburger 76 has outlasted a lot of businesses on Hemphill.

Best sliders around. I got the Duo Box with 2 burgers, fries, and shake, all for $17.00. I ended up…read morewith so much food for a decent price. The sliders were great. I recommend the Boomin' Chicken slider. It had a big piece of chicken, a good amount of sauce, and it was perfectly crispy. I got a cookies and cream shake and it had so many Oreos in it - it's was great!!! I said light whip and they listened. I ended up having 2 meals out of this and could barely finish my shake. If you want sliders, this place is a great pick.

I noticed another customer was handed 3 shakes. Surely, the shakes were melting after 30 minutes, and he was ordering to-go for a group. If wait times are long, employees need to ask customers if they would like their shakes as they wait. I ordered the 3 for $10. Upgraded to a combo and added a custard strawberry shortcake shake with whipped cream + cookie bites. The restaurant is worth at least two visits to try everything. The food and shakes are ok. I would pass on the boom sauce and go with the savvy sauce. The savvy sauce paired well with each sandwich and Cajun fries. Nothing made a lasting impression to make it a new go-to spot. The bread is soft and didn't fall apart. The cod surprised me. It was delicious, and so was the chicken sandwich. I would pass on the beef unless you get the big signature that includes two beef patties.

It was time for lunch, and we…read morehadn't had chicken for a while, so we decided to drop into Raining Cane's Chicken Fingers. For the life of me, I've never figured out why they call chicken tenders, fingers. Chickens don't have fingers! Ha ha ha! I like Raising Cane's because they have a limited menu, and the choices are easy to decide on. Smart idea, do what you do and do it well! We decided to order the Caniac Combo to share. It included 6 Chicken Fingers, Crinkle-Cut Fries, 2 Cane's Sauces, Texas Toast, Coleslaw, and a Large Fountain Drink. All we had to do was add an extra drink. The Caniac Combo was plenty for us to share. Watching the staff in the back was like watching a finely tuned military unit march in precision. As we were seated and waiting for our order, I looked around the dining room and noticed it was VERY clean and the counters were shining. The drink station was neat and orderly. It showed the employees took pride in their place of work. Our Caniac Combo was ready in a jiff, and the fingers were right out of the fryer, crisp and delicious. Love the Cane's Sauce, fries, and slaw. Cane's has some of the best Texas Toast in the fast food business. Overall, we had an awesome, relaxing visit to Raising Cane's. We'll definitely be back again soon when we're in the area.

The staff were very friendly and insightful with their own personal recommendations. Sam and Patty were amazing people and we really appreciate them. Pineapple lemonade mixed with regular lemonade. 10/10... it was good but I added water to it because it was too sweet. Sweetness is a preference and I am not really a sweets person. Coco shrimp: 8/10 the only reason why this is 7/10 is because we have all had coconut shrimp. Spicy shrimp: 10/10.. out of the bunch this was my favorite. Perfectly sauced, perfectly seasoned and enjoyably spicy. It is not fried A must try. Sweet & spicy shrimp: 10/10.. this was good too. This shrimp is fried and sauced. Perfect crunch, taste, and texture. P.S.. had the best rice of my life. They put the butter garlic sauce in it, the same sauce you can get for the shrimp and I wish I would have got it.. because if it tastes like the rice....... Mmmmaaaannnnn.. I wanted to go back for seconds on the shrimp and on the rice.

Visiting Texas for the first time and the amount of people walking around with brown paper bags…read morewith "potbelly" on them was a dead giveaway that I needed to check this place out. Like any typical counter service sub place, you tell the first person your order and style of bread, then move down the line to go over any toppings or modifications, and then by the time you hit the cashier, your food is pretty much done - talk about speedy service! They have a variety of designed options in hot and cold versions and then they have a list of basics for you to build your own. I chose the hot Mediterranean which was chicken, artichoke hearts, roasted peppers, feta cheese, and spicy hummus. I love all of those ingredients so it was a no brainer that I needed to pick that option. The sub was a little soggy/sloppy towards the end since the peppers and artichoke hearts typically carry a lot of liquid, so this wouldn't be a sub I'd recommend to hold onto or save as leftovers. The mess on my hands and face was totally worth it - it was a delicious sandwich and so filling I didn't get hungry for many hours afterwards! Bummed they don't have a Potbelly in my hometown!
