I just wanted say how awesome of a service I was given on 12/8/19. I go inside 2 minutes after 11 am and was told that I've arrive 2 minutes to late for the egg and cheese on a bun . For most this wouldn't seem bad but for me (a person who doesn't eat meat) was not good but David the front counter attendant went above and beyond to communicate this with his GM who made sure not to turn me away and prepared the sandwich for me. Being that I'm a GM of a restaurant I'm always accommodating my customer so I wanted to recognize them for taking care of me. read more

Beyond disappointed with Whataburger. I visited on 7/18/16 with my kiddos for lunch and was completely grossed out by the sight of furry fries! Hair in fries is gross, and I understand accidents happen. But this wasn't the first time. The two previous times I had gotten food to go at dinner time there was also hair in the fries. Grossed me out and I threw it away at home but didn't even bother to call and complain because this location has been above and beyond great for years. Well 3 strikes your out! While dining in I notified the front cashier, she apologized and brought me a "fresh" large fry for the inconvenience and let the manager know. Well, that wasn't the end of the hair. Unfortunately my replacement also had hair in it and it was visibly FRIED to the French fries! Eww I pointed that out to management and she insisted they all wear hair nets and that it must be a problem with the plant where they make the fries. She refunded my money and wrote on a receipt to come back in for a complete meal replacement for the family. At that point I was literally sick to my stomach. I didn't even attempt to go back for over two months...tonight about 8pm 9/27/16...the young lady at the front asked me what had been wrong the last time I briefly mentioned the ordeal and asked if they had any recent complaints about hair in the fries. She said no. She put the order in but the manager would NOT come put in her code. I heard her tell her to "save" the order and receipt and she'd get to it, she was in the middle of something. The cashier apologized and we stepped aside hungry and waiting. We waited 15 minutes and the manager NEVER came out from packaging to put in our order. She didn't care at all. She stared at me several times and completely did NOT care. I told the cashier I was taking my receipts back and to let her manager know I'd never be going back and how disappointed I am with the new management. The last three visits to the drive through have taken way too long. I understand dinner and lunch rushes but when I wait nearly fifteen minutes for them to take my money, send me forward to wait for my food, and finally get my one burger and kids meal only to get home with ice cold food, there is a major problem. I'm not a crazy critic who nitpicks everything. Fast food is what it is. But I get pissed when I pay for something that after one bit I don't want to eat. I'm giving this location two stars because I do remember the food being good about two months ago. I'm going to give this place a long break and hope there is a management change and it turns around. But for now, I'm writing it off my list. Update: the dog ate the burger, she didn't care it was cold. I ate my toddler's left over Chef Boyardee from lunch. I think I won. read more

This is is one of the two places I go for my cheat meals. I always get the freshly made large fries no salt, one triple meat no cheese ( no salt) and a Monterey Jack ( no salt ). Burgers are always made fresh. The presentation and the looks of the product out of the wrap is a well worth satisfaction to my eyes. Veggies and sauces are not a mess or falling out of the stack just like other places do. The burgers come out exactly as the picture shows. They make the food with excellence even on the busiest day of the week ( Sunday), while the line is long after the church services. Bringing out the food on the table will associates are a great way of appreciation. I would like to see a little more effort on keeping the tables clean due to heavy traffic. Other than that, best place to enjoy a burger once a week. read more

My husband and I are a fan of this place! The food is made to order so you know your getting a hot meal. The downside about made to order is we had to wait over 10 minutes for it. We love the all the favorites! I had the honey BBQ chicken strip sandwich and my husband had the patty melt. Both were delicious! The staff was very friendly. We will definitely be back! read more

Ordered from the mobile app twice last week 6/19 and 6/22. Both times my orders were wrong. Usually whataburger has no issues with their orders. I use the mobile ordering quite a bit. Does anyone not do a check on products before bagging? I've emailed corporate twice no feedback. Not even an apology. this is ridiculous you don't treat your employees right and then when nobody wants to work you only have 2 people working not getting it ..... I ordered a whataburger with cheese and no veggies. When I received my sandwich it had everything on it. When I gave it back the guy at the window told me "they were making a new one", only for them to take off the veggies and warm the sandwich up. Let me start off by saying, I absolutely love their food. Ive been coming for years and really like it. I was shocked when I came here recently though, one of the employees (Bailey) was rude, cranky and clearly in a mood... I understand having a rough day, but as a service professional, you should never take it out on customers. She didn't greet, yanked my card out of my hand, and pretty much shoved the food at me. Great food, friendly service, long wait. As far as food is concerned, it really is 'as good as it gets.' The burgers, fries, shakes and grilled cheese sandwiches are the best in town and I wouldn't consider going anywhere else for these things unless I found out that a place put magic powder in the food that adds 6in to your height and makes you lose weight. Utilized the drive through on a Friday evening to get Whatacatch® fish sandwiches. We ordered 2 of the sandwiches and an order of onion rings. It was bad enough that it took 30 minutes in the line to the service window, but that is par for this location. However, this time the food was NOT edible. The fish was brown (like chocolate) and not golden and tasted like it had been fried in old, rancid oil. You could actually feel the grit from the old, burnt crumbs that had been absorbed by the fish batter as it cooked. After two bites, I threw my sandwich away. Unfortunately, the onion rings appeared to have been cooked in the same fryer (They were brown also.) and had the same burnt, gritty off-taste. We ended up throwing everything away. I would recommend that anyone wanting food from Whataburger in this area visit the Killeen or Copperas Cove locations. read more

I grew up in Corpus Christi and lived near one of the first, if not the first, Whataburgers in Texas. It has always been my favorite hamburger, so needless to say I was excited when Whataburger opened in Harker Heights. However, I have been continuously disappointed in their burgers. Usually, the buns are cold and the burger sort of slammed together, and I have been disappointed with quality, but today took it to a new level. We did take out and when I got my burger home, the bottom bun was so hard I had to throw it away. It was uneatable. Also, the lettuce was a large chunk of lettuce core, non edible. Quality was very disappointing. The order was incorrect, too. I will not go to that Whataburger again. Very disappointing! read more

Whatburger always great ,always open. Does this location occasionally screw up your order? Yes. Do you forgive them because its Whataburger? Yah, and you know your gonna go back again anyway. Cant go wrong with a cheeseburger, of course your gonna want a large fry with spicy ketchup. Worst customer service EVER! Went through the drive through to grab a quick lunch for me and my son since we were running behind. Ordered our food went to the window and paid. She gave me our food and then turned around. I had to ask her for our drinks and she looked confused. Got the drinks and drove around the corner in the parking lot to get my son his food. I looked in the bag and the order was totally messed up. Not wanting to deal with it I parked and my son and I went inside to get a refund. I set the bag and drinks on the counter and asked to speak to the manager. Out waddles the most obese black lady I have ever seen. Kristy (or Krisy) asked me what I wanted. I told her they messed up my order and I wanted a refund. She immediately got an attitude and said she didn't have to take that from me and that I was being rude. I told her she hasn't seen rude yet. She snatched the bag off of the counter and threw it in the back and then just stood there. I told her I didn't have all day and she needed to hurry up. She said fine then I'm not going to do the refund at all. I asked her "So you are going to steal my money?" and she said I needed to leave. I ended up having to call the police to get my money back and apparently I am not allowed back on the premises for a year. Basically they stole from me and I'm the one who is not allowed to go there. Once again this woman stole money but had no repercussions whatsoever. read more

This is in response to DA, I was in the restaurant the night he was in there. First off he came into the store with his child and his dog. He proceeded to ask for the manager. When the manager came out and asked what he needed. He said his food was wrong and immediately got angry about how they couldn't get a simple order right. The manager offered to refund the money. He picked up his bag of food and threw it at the manager. At that point the manager said he needed to leave the premises and would not be refunding the money. He then started yelling about how they were stealing. He called her a fat As* N****r. All mind you in front of his young child. Who he was also dragging around by his arm. He again was asked to leave the store. And he called the police. Walking in and out of the store. He then told the police they stole his money and was told he wasn't a priority. He was extremely hostile. As a customer I was VERY concerned for the safety of the other customers and employees. Not to mention his poor child. I stayed in the store til the cops arrived to give a statement incase he ever came back. Once the police arrived he left. In my opinion this man was dangerous. This manager handled this situation with class and bravo to her. read more
