I stopped by about 45 minutes before closing and ordered the tender basket with fries, toast, white gravy, and a drink. The meal came out piping hot, but every single tender had the same problem--the breading completely slid off the chicken when I picked it up, even after letting it cool for several minutes. The breading was crispy and flaky, but had an odd pickle juice flavor that just wasn't for me. The chicken itself had a texture that felt barely cooked, which made the meal even harder to enjoy. The fries were just okay. What surprised me most was that, with only a few tables occupied, no one ever stopped by to ask how everything was, even though what appeared to be the manager was walking around preparing for closing. I would've gladly shared my experience. This visit won't keep me from coming back, but next time I'll stick with what made me a Skeeter's fan in the first place--the burgers, tacos, and breakfast.
