This is my go to spot late at night and early in the morning. I'm so obsessed with Whataburger! A lot of UTSA students go to this location especially after parties. I usually get the barbecue chicken strip sandwich with a strawberry milkshake or the honey butter chicken bisque with orange juice in the morning. It just makes my day. The building is somewhat clean on the inside but I usually go to drive thru. The staff are nice and quick which is what I like. But I gave Whataburger a high rating strictly based on the food. This Whataburger is open 24/7 and every time past 8 there is no accuracy in the orders. They took the orders and messed up both. Not to mention they charged us extra for a milk shake we didn't receive and we had to wait even longer to get our money back. We were parked waiting on the food for about 20 minutes. All in all this has been the worst experience at a Whataburger I've ever had. Just drive the extra 6 minutes to a different one or choose a different option. read more

Reading other reviews from this places makes me feel sick. We ate at this whataburger after a drive from Houston to get HORRIBLE & DISGUSTING service. We stayed at the hotel close by so we walked to this place. The place was locked but a customer opened the door for us. We were NOT aware that it was open 24hrs only applied for drive thru. We asked if we were still allowed to order and the guy in brown (attached picture) told us he didn't know because he was short of employees tonight. It took about 20 minutes for someone to finally take our orders. Annoyed, we waited for our orders and watched them to let time pass by. Richard (same guy in brown) did NOT wear gloves. While he touched each sandwich and each cheese with bare hands. His way of washing his hands was by TOUCHING the sanitize towel. He did NOT take it out of the container and wiped his hands with the towel, he TOUCHED it. And as people left he would go to them and lock the doors after they left, so then he would go back to work with dirty hands from touching the door. LASTLY, he was checking his phone while on the floor. This is filthy and I am never coming back to this location. Also the store was not clean whatsoever. read more

This Whataburger has messed up my order probably over 10 times. They haven't given us the main part of our meal at least twice (THE CHICKEN STRIPS) and continue to not give us parts of our meal almost everytime. Whenever I drive back, they never offer any compensation for my time or dissatisfaction. I've never written a review but I feel so angered by this Whataburger that I feel the need to. This is the official after spot for every UTSA party. On the weekends, once it hits 1 am, don't come if you're trying to get speedy service. You'll be frustrated with all the drunk college kids. I went there and got food and I noticed that they didn't wear gloves at all and it was extremely they were probably touching their peckers at night and all day I saw them touch a brim and other stuff and didn't wash their hands and kept on touching the food so that was extremely unsanitary and this one lady was extremely rude I'm not sure what her name was but she was something needs to be done here it is nasty af I'm not trying to get herpies or something from these people I highly dought they was their hands onc done handling things. read more

Oh my goodness why am I SHOCKED to see this Whataburger location have 3 stars? In my opinion this is the BEST place to enjoy a Whataburger! Here are my reasons why. First, the service is great from begging to the end. There is this lady that brings your food and offers you all the condiments and at times will carry conversation with their costumers. To me, connecting your customers is a must in order for them to be your everyday regulars. Plus, they listen to your order and give you hat you want. Second, every burger I've had came out hot, fresh, and juicy. Sometimes at other locations, the burger would end up cold, not here! I've never had to send a burger back like I normally would when I'm at another Whataburger location. Third, the restaurant is usually clean and attracts a lot of UTSA students, tourists visiting SA, as well as other people coming from La Cantera or just your average people coming for a bite to eat. If I'm thinking about getting a Whataburger, this location always comes up to mind. Best Whataburger ever! read more

Good food, as expected from Whataburger. What was really awesome was the speed and service. Normally Whataburger tends to be slow, especially at peak times. We were there during lunch hour and we got our food almost immediately after we sat down. Also, the server came by several times to see if we needed ketchup, napkins, refills, etc. read more

After eating here on 3 different occasions I have yet to find anything suitable to my taste. I first had a basic number 1. That's a burger with buttered buns, single patty, lettuce tomato, onion, pickles, and my least favorite mustard. The burger tasted dry, and the mustard was way to generous a portion. It was swimming in mustard. So for me was not enjoyable. Next I tried the bacon avocado burger. It feels like a heart attack waiting to happen. This is a double meat with buttered toast, bacon, tomato, lettuce, onion, bacon, and avocado. It was such a soggy burger and was hard to eat. It fell apart as I ate it and was just not as enjoyable as was expected. Quick note the first time I got fries they were heavily over salted. The second time I asked for unsalted it was tasteless and unenjoyable. I now know why they salt them so heavily. Ask for ranch when getting them or whatever side you enjoy with fries. Last meal I got was breakfast. We went at 4 :30 am. Was the most horrible service i have ever had at fast-food establishment. Was a manager at the window and she got our order repeated it perfectly then messed it up in every way imaginable. I ordered biscuits and gravy which BTW biscuits is plural and thus means more than one. Sadly you only receive one. Funny though you get gravy for two. She first messed up by giving me diet Pepsi when I asked for Dr pepper. Then laughs at my boyfriend when confronted about the drink. He said it was Pepsi she laughed and said no it was diet Pepsi ha ha ha. That's OK was handled poorly but doesn't excuse the next part. She then mistakes my boyfriend meal for another customers. He pulled over went inside to get it fixed and the woman didn't say a word about the mix up. She also ignored him and the people in line. The cook came and took their order as this woman looked as though she was lost. Sad when the manager can't keep up with 2 orders and the cook has to step in. When in drive thru it was 3 cars. And one inside. 4 people is not slammed even at 4 am. Very disappointing my boyfriend lives this place and just can't seem to get it right here. I would recommend the honey Chicken biscuit but the honey can sometimes be to much of a portion. Sadly my opinion of this place is poor and will likely not be my first choice for a burger. read more
