Literally never eaten here and gotten my food in less than 25 minutes. Worst whata in the country hands down

This was the first Whataburger that I ever tried in my life. I had seen their restaurants all over our travels in Texas. Finally got the chance to try them when we were driving through Waco. The restaurant looked terrific inside. Very clean! Service was polite, but getting the food was very very very slow. Took almost 30 minutes to get my food. They weren't even busy. The crew was just very slow. Seriously, they looked like they were in slow motion. Got my order to go. Got a Whataburger with cheese and fries for myself. Patty Melt for my Wifey. Here is what I thought of the food. The burger was okay. Not the best fast food burger & fries, but not bad either. 3 stars Patty Melt is 5 stars!! That was the star of the food!! The absolute BEST Patty Melt that I had ever eaten. Overall, though only 3 stars. The slowness of the crew was a real turn off. I would not be a regular at this Whataburger location. I'd look for another one of their branches to eat their delicious Patty Melts!!

I like how many toppings were on the burger. They definitely didn't go light on those and they tasted fresh. the burger patty was an average burger patty and tasted a little bit dry. But it was a fast food restaurant so I wasn't really expecting much more than this. However, I have heard a lot of people talk about how good Whataburger is so I thought I would give it a try. If I was in a pinch I would probably go back. The service at this location was pretty typical of a fast food joint.

Burger taste off between In-N-Out and Whataburger. In-N-Out had a very good burger, a Little bland and the fries seemed old and reheated. Whataburger had a "5" burger but fries were also stale. Value to Whataburger hands down. In-N-Out is overall "4" Whataburger overall "5"

This is by far the worst Whataburger I've ever been too. You are in line forever and then they always get your order wrong.

We were greeted as soon as we walked in and directed to choose a table of our preference. The waitress quickly came over and grabbed our drink order while we looked at the menu. We placed our order and the waitress was very knowledgeable and able to answer our questions. She also informed us they work as a team so we can stop anyone when/if we need something. We started with the "Burning Bush" appetizer (crispy Brussel sprouts w/ lemon garlic aioli). YUM! They had just the right bite to them, and the glaze on them paired with the aioli was delicious! For our entrees we had the Golden Calf Burger w/ sweet potato fries and sriracha aioli and The Weight of Glory Sandwich w/ broccoli slaw. They were both incredibly flavorful and fresh! You can tell they locally source their ingredients and prepare them onsite. The portions are also plentiful, and we left with a takeout box. To round off lunch we tried the special mousse on the specials board (coffee flavored cheesecake mousse). It was so delightful we dug in before I could snap a pic. Just enough coffee flavor paired with chocolate sauce (not hersheys ). The big windows allow for a lot of natural light and lends to a welcoming and warm environment. We will for sure be back and bring others!

I especially enjoyed how the herbed goat cheese mixed with the lemon aioli (aioli is garlic mayo so the garlic is redundant in the menu) and beef patty. That combo was deadly to me, oof Some nice cold coleslaw to compliment the hot burger was a nice mix. I still haven't forgotten how heavy their tomato soup is! So packed with flavor omg. Friendly + quick staff as always and gorgeous wooden seating.

I ordered the fried pickles and I thought they would come out as an appetizer, but they were put next to the burger as a side so I was disappointed in that. The fried pickles were way too thick for my liking although they were breaded well. What's neat about this place is the variety of different flavored pickles that they have in the corner for you to eat. I really did like that!! There's a bar in the center of the floor and although I didn't get anything from the bar, I did like the setup. The burger itself was okay. Not spectacular, but not the worst. Would I eat here again? I think I would.

Today on the drive back and as I approach Waco I thought I'm gonna find a great smash burger....and oh boy did I ever. 4.5 miles off the expressway yelp pointed me to Captain Billy Whizz...not going to lie on the way there I was concerned and I got closer more worried if I had in fact chosen correctly! Pulling in nothing special and the area is interesting.... Saw they had a drive thru and went what the hell let's do this! Ordered a double smash burger with cheese fully dressed extra pickle, tater tots sweet tea and spent $20.00...just me. What I received was a perfectly cooked and seasoned juicy burger...HOT. The bun was soft and reminded me of an old style burger from my childhood. This is a big juicy burger and everything you'd want and expect in a burger. Tatter-tots were ok...hard to go wrong with em.... The problem is the burger...it's soooo damn good you forget about the tots. My only regrets is that I didn't take a pic....that's how good the burger is you won't put it down till it's finished. Ask for extra napkins....

We got seated right away around 1:30 pm on a Friday. There appeared to be only two servers covering the entire room but they did a pretty good job of it. Our waiter, a young man was quite pleasant and knowledgeable. He used an electronic order taking device and was able to customize anything we asked for, right in the device. Three of us ordered shakes. My friend loves Coconut Cream Pie, which they have and she was considering a shake. I suggested she ask our server if he could make her a Coconut Cream Pie shake with vanilla ice cream. Sure enough, he did it and it was quite tasty. For lunch, we ordered as follows: - Patty Melt with Tots (shared by my wife and I) - Kids Finger Basket with 1 Chicken and 1 Steak finger and tots - Steak Finger Basket with Tots The food was very diner diner-like (fried or flat top grilled) and it was tasty.
