I am very happy with the work they did, replacing 4 pickup truck tires in less than 40 minutes during a busy holiday. They had an abundance of staff, very helpful attendants and all too eager to grant credit (6 months no interest but watch out for the balloon payment due in month 7). It is a business after all but prices are competitive and reasonable. It could not hurt at all, in fact it is incumbent upon you to research the needs of your vehicle's tires before making your appointment. See what other offers are out there. Petaluma has an abundance of tire options. I liked the ease of their online appointment scheduling and rapid price quotes, not to mention excellent customer service (a call back within the hour after making the same day appointment), astute advice and no trace of a hard sell. Terrible terrible customer service. Bought three "sets" of two or more tires here.. Within six months they blew out. Had them replaced blew out again. Then I called this afternoon and asked them what their price would be if they could help me in any way, shape or form and they told me the cost was $587 ( for three tires. Their RETAIL cost mind you) they said they were giving me their price. Little did the guy know that I called that morning and the other guy who told me $587 was the retail price. So on top of having crummy service they're liars. Beware of Ignacio he pretends like he's nice but he's not there to help you at all. I came to fix my a/c because was making a noise, they charged me$330, to replace the fan and recharge the fluid, and fix a flat tire, and still making the noise, not reliable and very expensive, I would go somewhere else next time. read more

The man behind the counter was SO short with me right off the bat. His tone was rude, he treated me like a fucking wall. He told me "go sit down in the lobby" or when I was in the actual garage waiting for him to work on my car he said "go inside" - which sounds normal but he was just like so demanding? And then when it was done, he just reparked my car in the lot without telling me where? So weird. He makes you feel like you're just an idiot. Went in to have an alignment. Ignacio got right to it. Came back after 20 minutes and began to tell me how the rear axle is out of whack but that's okay because it's built like that? Huh? Problem or not? Then he tells me that he can't do the front alignment because the tire rod is frozen. We go inside and after making me wait while he takes care of some walk in's tire questions, gets the price on the tire rod. He insists that I need both the inner and outer tire rod. Okay, how much? $139.89 and 173.91 for a total of $448.80. Fine. I go home, go online and get the complete unit for $49.00 plus shipping for a grand total of $61.00. Being so inexpensive, even for OEM, I call the online parts store. I explain the 10X prixe difference in their price and Wheelworks. The guys just laughs. Bottom line, Wheelworks is a rip off. Don't go there. They will overcharge you and rip you off. Eff them. read more

I made an appointment for this morning , showed up 10 minutes early. Told him I'd wait wile they did my oil change. Almost an hour and a half later my car was still sitting where I parked. I went to the counter asked for my keys and left. I used to bring all four of my cars here for oil changes even though it's 15 miles from where I live. There used to be a good manager there , They must switch them around lose them, like the customers. read more

Took my vehicle for service today. 1. It took 2 hrs to get a simple oil change 2. As I waited for my car they were extremely unprofessional taking about a customer that had an issue with the tech not resetting her TPMS sensor 3. When I left the shop my car was wobbling, tire pressure was 20 PSI off on both front and back. I also doubt the lug nuts were torqued properly based on the extreme wobble. I called back right away to let them know i was going back. I was told that they were closing up soon. When I arrived, before closing, all tech were gone and the person at the front desk, David, did not have a tech stay behind to fix the issue. His solution was for me to leave my car. No one goes to get their oil change on a Sunday because they have all the time in the world to leave their vehicle. Poor service from the technicians and poor customer service from the front desk. SMH. I would not recommend them and will not be going back. I will be calling Rebecca Freeman the store manager, although, based on the training of her staff, I'm sure she will be of no help. Here is the icing on the cake, I told David this was an unsafe situation and he's said, there is nothing I can do for you. SMH. I had to go to the gas station and set the correct tired pressure on all tires and had to re-torque the lose lug nuts. read more

I had my tire slashed on my car and had to get a new one put on ASAP. Obviously this is no fun, but Derek Hartrich at Wheel Works in Petaluma turned a bad day in to a good one. I had a 2:00 appointment to repair a tire with a screw in it. It took 2 hrs. $30 price tag is probably average for 2017 rates. Customer service was poor. I stood waiting while the Derek paid more attention to the phone or talking to co-workers than a face-to-face customer. That occurred dropping off and picking up the car. I won't be going there again. There's a lot of other shows in town. Don't come here because they will ask you for a security and when you decide not to use it you will get scammed. So like most people who come here, I needed a tire. My tire blew and this is where I chose. Now, I dropped off my wheel and told the girl at the front my story, she got my info, I dropped off my wheel and on the waiting game I went. One tech told me an hour. So I left and came one hour and fifteen minutes later. Oh, my tire wasn't done. So I decided to wait by my car. And wait...and wait...until that same girl was about to work on a truck and just happened to look up and see me, see my wheel was still in the spot I left it and immediately took charge and started working on the 4-5 single wheels off to the side. Bam, bam, bam she bust em all out and when mine was done wheeled it over to me and said all set, head inside and they'll finish you out. When I got in there, Gary met me to close me out and WOW, amazing customer service. I asked him the name of the girl who did my tire and he said oh her! That's Rebecca, our Store Manager I can see why she runs the joint and hope she's teaching those guys how to follow her customer service! read more

I wanted to be sure to leave a follow-up to my glowing review from 2015, this place is not what it once was. All the people who used to run it are now gone. No one there now appears to know what is going on. Beware!!! I can't stress it enough. I had a terrible experience. They have an "appointment" system. Made one for an oil change and inspection for 11am. Was told two hours. Two hours later, I come back car hasn't even been looked at. I should have left then but let them talk me into "one more hour" and they'd get it done right then. Another 2 hours past. Didn't end up leaving until 530pm. For an oil change. An oil change. I will never come back and it's sad because I had been coming here for 5+ years and highly recommending them. Never again. What was the worst part was the customer service... Just give it to me straight if I will spending all day waiting for service and try to act like you care a little that this is happening. Unreal. read more

I made an appointment for 11:30 a.m. for a tire rotation and alignment and rep said it would be done by 1:30 p.m. I killed two hours in town waiting and when I returned at 1:40 p.m. I was told that they HAD NOT gotten to my vehicle, even though I was the second alignment appointment of the day with the first being at 10:30 a.m. The afternoon rep indicated that the alignment rack worker had been redirected to other jobs instead of mine. I went I to WheelWorks after getting a flat tire on a Sunday while my trusted tire company was closed. They were very quick but after leaving I notice something was not right, so I called to complain. While talking with one of their representative staff members I was wasn't too happy with his offer to accomidate me, but I still went back in. This time Derek was there and he was very accomidating, extremely patient, and helpful. I left very satisfied and because they were so quick to accomidate the previous issue without hassle I will go back to them for future services. read more

Went today for tires on the car we are handing the keys over to our new driver. GREAT price so we booked an appointment saying we were in a rush as we were having a sweet 16 party.... An hour later the car wasn't done as promised and we were told another hour till we would be on the road... I wasn't happy or party ready, my birthday girl wasn't either. Although they needed the extra 47 minutes Wheel Works went above and beyond to make it up to us and get us on the road. But when something stressful, like a nail in my tire today.. or my car barely making it down lakeville...i am greeted with an encouraging smile and fast service. Do not use this wheel works!! They sell a fine product but the costomer service leaves much to be desired. Completely understaffed, which makes it impossible for them to get your car in or out on time. While the pricing is slightly higher (give or take $10) than other chain mechanic shops they are still more reasonable than seeking out a private mechanic. It seems that there are always same day appointments and they offer a ton of free diagnostics, which is great! The REAL reason I will go back is because I had my alignment done, oil changed (for only $20 with a coupon), and my tires rotated (which was free)..my breaks started squeaking, which of course shouldn't be caused by any of those services. I returned for a free break inspection openly telling the clerk I had just had my break pads replaced (by my boyfriend), but it was squeaky. After the free assessment everything was fine and not only did the sales guy NOT try and up-sell me or sell me services I didn't really need, he gave us some tips on how I could remedy the squeaking on my own. To me (especially as a female), is the best show of customer service I have experienced in this field. Usually mechanics try to sell you services, charge you for every diagnostic, and won't let you leave without SOMETHING (unless you know them of course). Both times I brought my car in, the estimated time of service was right on the money, although sometimes you have to wait in line a while to talk to someone. All is fair when it comes to car repairs! I highly recommend the store for any of your car needs. read more

Horrible customer service! I walked in and waited for 20 minutes without even being recognized while the service rep was on the phone. The same person who was answering the phone put on my tires. I was told it would take 1 hour. It took 2 hours. I went there for new tires and exited with a problem with my brakes. I asked to use their bathroom and was told it was too dirty for customers to use and had to walk to CVS pharmacy. Definitely not worth your time or money. I am giving it 2 stars instead of 1 just because of the hope that these tires will last. read more

I purchased my tires here and had them rotated regularly, until I had a flat on the road. The lug nuts were over- torqued, requiring a three foot bar to loosen. My alloy wheels were so gouged by Wheel Works that I had to use a sledge hammer to remove them. The insides of the lug nut holes had to be cleaned out, removing gouged alloy metal, before the fasteners and wheel could be freely installed. read more

I purchased 4 tires + wheel balance & they did an alignment on 6/3/2017 at WW in Petaluma. The car was driven on the HWY for the first time since I got tires this past Sunday. I rotate this car with another car so I drive it very little. Upon close to 60 mph the car started shaking vibrating & steering wheel clocked to the left. I called WW right away with the problem and made an appt last Sunday for Friday (today) and was told it would take 1 hr by Derrick. I ended up there for a little under 3 hrs omg.. other people who were complaining how long they were waiting. When I got the tires, there was an alignment, some how they didn't charge me for it. Today Blake told me I got a "helluva deal". Blake I did not get a helluva deal, the vehicle has 38,000 mile drove perfect prior to alignment and balance. Today I wasted hours of "my time" for them to "redo" the balance. 3 hours of MY TIME to come in for you guys to fix the botched wheel balance and they did not offer to fix the steering wheel that still clocks to the left. I was told by the taller guy that the wheel balance was done way wrong the first time & balance went into different spots, whatever that means. But what he was saying they DID NOT DO IT CORRECTLY the first time. They told me the steering wheel pulls to the left and it would cost me $69 to do another alignment. The s/wheel clocked to left AFTER their alignment NEVER before. They should fix it at NO CHARGE, by this time its the end of day I am not paying $69. They messed up the wheel balance as the guy told me and what all else did they do wrong? Blake initially was nice on phone when I called about getting new tires, still nice when I met him but he said the shaking and vibration could be from all the Petaluma "potholes". He can compare the miles I had barely driven the car since my purchase. Potholes is not the case I drive around them not in them. At least the taller gentlemen today told me the real reason why I had this problem. I also signed a paper regarding what they did today but they did not give me a copy. I want it mailed to me so I have it by next week. A few more things they may want to do: 1. Raise the flag with the bear on it, its hanging on the corner extremely low. The flag wraps around your face and body in the wind and I had to untangle my self from it 2. They have a huge puddle of water right near where the flag is, I asked where all the water was coming from they said it was from the AC Unit. Not a good place that could be a slip and fall zone. Totally disappointed, back to BIG O I go very disappointed. read more

I would give this place a zero star rating if it were possible. I took my car in for an oil change and when I got it back it was not running properly. After driving about 30 miles I took it to my mechanic who discovered that the transmission fluid was empty and the engine oil was overfilled by several quarts. As a result There is a chance that the transmission is ruined-a $6000 repair. How could Wheel Woks mechanics possibly confuse transmission fluid from engine oil fluid? When confronted with it staff and management at wheel works claimed that it was "not possible" that this could happen at their shop and that they "didn't have the tool to remove the transmission oil plug". On investigation I discovered that the "tool" to do the job is an ordinary 8 mm Allen wrench. No self-respecting mechanic would be found without one of these in his/her toolbox. After multiple phone calls and threats of lawsuit to the manager and the district and regional representatives they finally transferred me to Firestone tire company claims department, the owners of wheel works. The claims department has admitted liability and have paid for a transmission service and have promised to pay for my transmission if it fails within its serviceable life. The level of incompetence of Wheel works staff in Petaluma is astonishing, not to mention their abysmal customer service. read more

AVOID THIS PLACE! As many have posted here a miserable customer service experience with the smart ass that wears the black rim glasses. He would not give me his name when I asked. He just told me "I'm the one trying to help you". I had an appointment today and when I walked in the door at my appointment time the same individual played with stapling papers and folding and other things while I stood at the counter He would not even look up at me for 5 minutes. The problem stems from a brake job performed at a wheel works in San Jose three weeks ago. Ever since then there is a grinding noise when coming to a stop so I brought it here to the wheel works where I live today for them to check out the noise. The mechanic drove my car and could hear the noise. They put the car up on the rack and removed the wheels, looked at the thickness of the pads (which are new of course) and that was the end of it. Supposed to have a 12 month warranty so now I'm off to another place to have a more thorough check performed. I've been a loyal wheel works customer for years and so have my family members but not anymore after 2 bad experiences. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. From the first call A++++ service! I spoke to Eric he was Kind, Patient, Courteous, took the time to explain all of my options, gave a price quote and they are competative!! I Had to call back, because of a time constraint and Spoke to Blake who was EVERYTHING Eric was and understood my time issue and stated that he could get me in and out by the time I needed (very important because I had an appointment that was 2 hours away!) Our car broke down on a Sunday in Petaluma and we were on our way home to the Sacramento Area. My husband called and let them know our situation before having the vehicle towed there. They were super accommodating. They fit us in and made sure we were back on the road that same evening. They made sure we were comfortable while we were waiting. They spoke with my husband about the car and made sure everything was working right before we left. They had excellent customer service and I couldn't thank them enough.
