Y'all can blame who ever you want for attempting to repair your mess, but one thing y'all need to understand is that the employees are treated like trash by corporate. They underpay their workers and expect them to move mountains for them. Then they have the nerve to take portions of our checks, claiming they overpaid us. How can you overpay and underpaid employee?!? I get paid $20/hour yet I get more work done than employees that are paid higher. When asked for a raise, they have the nerve to tell me that I'm getting the max pay for my position.... If I'm getting max pay, then why do my co-workers in same position that do less work end up with higher pay?! Bridgestone (owns wheel works) is a front company, they don't stand by their promises. And yes those same Employees that get paid more are the same employees that fuck up your repairs. Been with the company for 3 months, two different location, yet the story is the same. Charge clients an arm and a leg for bullshit repairs and pay their workers bullshit wages. Big O Tires is even worse. You want good, reliable, dependable service.... Take your business to American Tire. I've never had an issue with them. They do what you ask them and not what they want to do. My dad asked them to change brake pads, wear sensor and fluid flush with me right there listening to the request and my boss (Mountain View location) charged him additional $600 for rotors.... After we specified that WE did not want rotors. Especially the trash rotor they use. So not only does this company abuse their customers, but they treat their employees like trash, knowing that we can't afford this type of BS. Biggest regret is applying to a company that looked like it had it shit straight just to find out how corrupt they are. I made an appt 3 or 2 days ago for Thursday Sept 7 for 11 am the mgr Toni told me it should be ready by 1pm I'm still here at the shop and it's already 3:30pm I never waited for them to call me! I came on one occasion at 9 AM they told me it would be one hour and a half at 11 o'clock my car was still in the parking lot and they said it would be another 2 hours. they had not even begun my vehicle they had zero respect for me and for the appointment time. On the next occasion I had a 930 appointment and at 11:30 I decided I could not wait any longer and they did not have my vehicle inside the shop and when I asked when they would start working on it, they said two more hours so in disgust I took my vehicle and said no thanks. On the third occasion I've repeatedly asked the manager there I have been here twice before and both times my appointment time was irrelevant. Both times my appointment time was 930 or 9 AM and two hours go by and they still do not have my vehicle inside for the alignment it's if they don't care. he assured me that at 9:30 AM they will begin on my vehicle it will be done at 11 AM the same thing they said every other time I've been there. So this time I waited and waited and waited friends of theirs came in and they got full service right away that disgusted me to the fullest I got angry and Asked the manager why it's taking so long and he told me that they only have one technician the same thing they always tell me for the past three visits, so I asked him why didn't you make an appointment at 11 AM so I wouldn't have to waste time!! I called in today because my tire was at 8psi & I noticed 2 of my valve caps were missing (I thought these were related issues), Toni suggested I put air in my tire if possible & come straight to the shop so that's exactly what I did. Once I got there, she was so helpful & gave me honest input. She had one of the techs put air in my tires & he explained to me that the loss of air was not directly due to the missing valve cap, he said it wouldn't be safe to repair the tire & that it needed to be replaced. Normally I would assume this is just their way of trying to upsell me, but I had issues with this tire before & it has previously been repaired so I trusted his judgement & went for a new tire. Back inside, Toni was on it! She was answering phone calls & taking care of the line in front of her. She maintained a professional & composed attitude with everyone she was speaking to; I would've been so overwhelmed. Once she was able to help me again, she was so kind & let me know she'd try to get me out of there within about a half hour. Thanks to the technician who replaced my tire, it was ready to go after only a short wait. Toni helped me checkout & was just overall an absolute pleasure the whole time. Let's be honest, Wheel Works locations are everywhere & really you can go to whichever one you want, but for honest work & incredible customer service, this location is the one to go to. Reasonably friendly staff. The intake guy (I'm assuming a manager) and his crew of service technicians were fairly friendly and professional. The service window here is hit & miss. If you come in at the right time, they will take care of you. Otherwise, it's a mixture of walk-ins, appointments, and I'm not sure what else, seemed a little bit disorganized. I was quoted a wait of 2-3 hours to install two tires (seemed slightly excessive to me, but I guess they overestimate in order to buy themselves some time). Got my work done by a friendly technician named Douglas. Price was a bit higher than quoted, typical add-one and hidden fees at the end (I was quoted out-the-door) prices, but they ended up being higher. Overall, a good experience despite the frustration & inconvenience of a flat tire. Didn't really want to shop around, just wanted to get the work done and back on the road. And that's just what they did, they got me back on the road after a long morning that costed me a little bit more than what I expected to spend. That's life and cars, I guess! Edit: been trying to bring my car in for simple & easy tire rotation & air pressure checks. That's supposed to be complimentary after-care? I even made appointments. When I bring the car in for the appointment, they say to leave the car for a couple of hours because they don't know when they can get to it. You can't rotate tires for a couple of hours? I just sent a customers car yesterday which is a 2019 530 E electric which is more sophisticated than my car and they charged me $98..00 How can he jump from 98.00 to 260 then say our discount is 220.00 so I called my buddy Mike at Wheels on B St., San Mateo he said no problem not $90.00 after I explained to Eric at the front desk he just acted entitled spoke over people like he he was a king and don't even look at people when he spoke to them. that's the last time I sent business from my business to the Belmont, Wheel works location. Lost the fleet of work for not being honest I just can't believe the day before he charged 98.00 for a Bmw for one of my customers with all sorts of electronics and try to give me for 260.00 had the nerve and said I'm sorry I'm not gonna lose $20 take it to B St wheel work which I'm happy I decided to go that way because most of the time I have to take back the cars to get realigned because they don't align it correctly. people get a quote from wheel Works from the fat guy with glasses at the Belmont branch then compare it to the wheel Works on the street with Mike. He's the best never had a problem with him. The only issue is he's a mile away rather than two blocks away from my shop, but now he's got my business from now on. From the first "hello" to every single aspect of their service, the folks at Wheel Works were terrific. I knew I needed two new tires eventually and when the warning light popped up I went in. "Your front two definitely need to be replaced but the rear tires are fine." They recommended two new tires with none of the usual tire store shenanigans and said they'd check the others to make sure there were no leaks. I sheepishly mentioned that my key needed a new battery and didn't know how to replace it. They popped the new battery in. A short while later I was driving home with a smile! Just soooo nice! When I arrive I'm greeted by a rude and unpleasant employee who's obviously having a bad day, this employee grunts under his breath and before the conversation begins says to me , "what do you want...." I proceed to tell this employee that I have a confirmed appointment for 11AM , he looks me up and down and says , " that going to happen... all the bays are full..."I ask said employee, " when can I get my tire replaced..?" Wife's car was running on the small donut spare tire so needed replacement. Ordered tires but when I called and spoke to Calvin, the next available appointment for installation was 20+ days. Then decided to pickup the the tires I ordered and paid for and find someone else to do the mounting+balancing. When I arrived in the early AM, there were 2 service technicians and only a single car in the service bay. When I asked again if they could schedule me in, the tech was less-than-sympathetic and said "whatever Calvin says. He's the manager". A few days ago, I found a piece of metal stuck into one of my tires. I called early the next morning and talked to Toni, who had me bring the car by so they can check out the damage. My tires have been worn out for quite sometimes and they weren't able to fix the puncture on such worn tires. Toni showed me what was available for my car and wanted me to be comfortable with my decisions. She never pressured me into anything. She let me know about bringing my car back for free rotations and checkups, etc. She was really nice and easy to work with that day and they had them installed sooner than I thought, especially since I pretty much dropped in. =) read more

We made an appointment to buy and balance four specific tires, as we had researched all of the tire options. We arrived on time on Saturday morning, Michael the manager greeted us in not a friendly manner however I thought maybe he was cranky because it was a Saturday morning. Our appointment was for 9:30 we were told our car would be ready by noon. We played plans for the rest of our Saturday. We were phoned at 11:30 saying our car was ready. When we asked how much it would cost, it was less than we had anticipated. So they had decided to put different tires on the car because they were similar to the old tires. They made this decision without calling us. We said that is not ok! We want the tires that we requested. So our car was not ready until 5:30 PM. We had to cancel the plans we had made. When we went to pick up the car, Michael the Manager was unprofessional. I will never go to that Wheel Works again!!! read more

Back in November 2020, I had 2 flat tires within 2 weeks of each other. Alex was super helpful and I had a wonderful experience. Luckily I was able to purchase insurance on my tires so when I had another flat, I was "saved". I also applied for their awesome credit card that gives me 6 months to pay off my purchases.
