1 Star - Very Poor Service & Unprofessional Behavior I had a very bad experience at Wheels Workshop. I went there only to fix a flat tire, which should be a simple and quick job. Unfortunately, it took them over five hours to fix just one tire. What made the situation worse was that no one called me back to inform me that the car was ready. I had to call them myself twice. On the first call, I did not receive any proper response. On the second call, they simply apologized and mentioned something unrelated, which did not solve the issue. Because of their delay and lack of communication, my son could not go to work and lost money that day. This kind of service is unacceptable, especially from a shop that claims to be a high-profile and professional wheels workshop. I expect basic communication, respect for customers' time, and timely service. Unfortunately, none of that was provided. Unprofessional front desk staff. Book appointment online for oil change at 2pm on Friday. Called me and said they booked all day Friday. Earliest appointment is available at 9am on Sunday and they should be able to get me out within an hour since I would be their first appointment of the day. Went on Sunday am, said you will get car end of day. Mentioned the earlier rep that I spoke about did say the oil change won't take that long. I came in because my brakes were squealing and had already been told by another mechanic that all four brakes and rotors needed to be replaced. I spoke with Steve at Wheel Works, and he was honest, straightforward, and reassuring. He explained that the noise was cosmetic, that the brakes and rotors were still in good shape, and replacement wasn't actually necessary. That level of integrity is rare in this industry. Steve still offered a fair price in case we wanted to do the replacement anyway, but never pressured us. I truly respect his honesty and professionalism. When I first called, they were very Emf pathetic to get an appointment and get me In-N-Out What was the difference is sometimes when you walk into repair shops they seem like sharks or they just don't care. I totally got an opposite feeling and they were amazing. I did not feel pressured at all when I walked in for a service I already booked over the phone. Everybody is very nice and friendly. 2012 Tesla model S with new tires that had blow out on highway six months after alignment at WW in San Ramon. Purchased lifetime alignment and this is what happened. Very dangerous. They just tell you that's what all Teslas do. I asked about bringing car back for alignment after installing adjustable camber arms and aligning to non Tesla specs for better tire wear. I was told they would still adjust to Tesla specs and I would lose my lifetime alignment and pay $812 to align my car. If you own a Tesla you can make your own decision about the competence and customer service at WW in San Ramon. read more

BE WEARY ABOUT SUSPENSION JOBS. Wheel Works DOES NOT replace the bump stock or shock boots during suspension jobs. If you don't tell them, they will put your old ones back on even if they are cracked, 20yrs old and actually do need replacing. like mine. They likely do this on purpose so they can charge you again for taking apart the suspension to replace the bump stock a year later when it fails though you assumed it had been replaced as part of the suspension assembly job you just had done. I brought my 2006 Audi A4 in recently for some issues I was having with my suspension. I knew going in that it wasn't going to be cheap as I had to get new rear suspension and struts. I also had the front passenger axle replaced as the CV joint was pretty toast. While repairing this it was noticed that the steering knuckle also needed replacing. It was supposed to be done in one day, but due to the steering knuckle it ended up being approximated to 3 days. Luckily I didn't need my car so leaving it there was fine. I was called toward the end of the day on the 3rd day to pick up my car. I paid the very expensive bill, got in my car and drove off. I made it approximately a block away when I heard a noise coming from the rear passenger seat that was not there when I brought the car in. I had to pull over to inspect since this was an area that was worked on. I went and looked at the rear shocks, which just got replaced and I noticed what I later learned was the bump stock, was the same as when I brought it in. I thought that was odd. Anyways I took the car back to the shop and told the person at the front that there is a very loud noise coming from the rear passenger area. Unfortunately the mechanic had just left for the day even though it was only like 4pm and I had to leave it overnight as no one could look at it until the morning. So what was supposed to be a one day job is now a 4 day job, but wait, there's more. So the next morning rolls around and apparently a bolt had snapped during the repair and that's what was causing the noise. They quickly fixed that and said everything was fine and the car was ready. That's when I inquired about why the bump stock was not replaced. I had just paid 4k for a full rear assembly, but I was told that does NOT include bump stocks nor shock boots. Like WTF???? I wasn't even offered a choice to replace them. They just took off my old ones replaced the suspension and then put the old bump stocks right back on. These would have failed fairly quickly and I would have to bring the car back in for more work that I assumed was already done. These parts should automatically be replaced for every suspension job not matter what. Also the fact that the only reason I ever even found out was because one of their bolts broke and I had to go and inspect the area and noticed it. Had that not happened I would be driving around on 20 year old cracked and damaged bump stops that should have been replaced. I do give Wheel Works credit for actually replacing them when I brought it up, but cmon it should be part of the package that I had already paid for. When I paid for rear struts and shock assembly, I should get all new parts that make up that assembly. Why my old bump stops were just put back in place is beyond me, but was told that is not part of the shock assembly according to Wheel Works. So just be aware when getting suspension replaced to also replace your bump stocks, which is only a $30 part. read more

Mel replaced my Firestone Firehawk Indy 500's (soft, grippy "racing" summer tire) with Bridgestone Dueler H/P Sport AS (an all-season radial for an SUV). When I got there 30 mins before close on a Sunday and the day before I was to begin a 2000 mile trip and saw this I was shocked. "These aren't the same AND THEY'RE NOT EVEN CLOSE in similarity to the Indy 500!" - Then Mel pretends to not know the difference between a summer tire and an all-season tread and says he doesn't know what I mean by the durometer of the tire. He charged me $1300 for something I didn't want, realized he screwed up and lied to cover his a$$. WIll never spend another dollar here. Too bad I bought the lifetime wheel alignment from this crooked shop. read more

Had an appointment here to have a new tire mounted and replaced on my car. Had the tire shipped by Tire Rack and found them through Tire Rack as a recommended installer. Showed up 10 minutes early for my appointment and waited in the lobby for 40 minutes before they came out and said they were probably going to scratch the rim of my new car wheel dismounting and remounting the new tire and was I OK with that. I said no way and left How can a place that claims to be Wheel Works not change a tire without damaging a wheel. Do not go here if you do not want your rim scratched. I found one of my Dad's invoices from Wheel Works from work done late May. They put full synthetic oil inside the car for an oil change. My Dad's car is a 2010 Ford Fusion that he changes the oil every six months. This car uses regular oil, not full synthetic. This location upcharged him for the oil change but my Dad is old. The impact dented my muffler and pushed the muffler into my drive shaft causing damage to that as well. I brought the car back to them and they tried to tell me I must have drove over something. They hired an "independent" estimator to inspect my vehicle and he concluded the damage was new and caused while my vehicle was stationary however they denied my claim because I brought the vehicle back first thing the next morning and not that same day. First time leaving a bad Yelp review... Vehicle: C7 Corvette I had a small air leak on one of my tires and decided to take it in to Wheel Works to get it patched/repaired. After leaving my vehicle there for hours, I received a phone call advising my vehicle was ready for pick-up. After taking my vehicle home, I realized that the tire was still leaking air. As the rest of my tires seemed pretty worn out, I decided to not make a fuss about the leak not being fixed. Instead, I ordered four new tires and scheduled an appointment to get all the tires replaced. I brought my vehicle in today for my scheduled appointment, and dropped the vehicle off at Wheel Works per their request. About 45 minutes later, I received a phone call from Wheel Works advising that they would not be able to replace the tires as my vehicle was too low for their jacks. Please note that my vehicle ride height is stock. (Now I wonder if they even patched my tire since it was still leaking air when I picked it back up, and they are unable to jack my vehicle up) The employee at Wheel Works did not seem to care. They were unable to recommend me a different shop, and told me that I had to figure out a way to pick up the tires that were delivered to their shop. I came the same day to pick up the tires from their shop, and one of their employees rolled the tires from the bay towards the parking lot, hitting my vehicle. Overall, the employees at Wheel Works don't seem to care and are unprofessional. I took my vehicle and all four tires to America's Tire across the street, and they serviced me the same day with no issues. Staff at America's Tire were extremely friendly and professional. Too bad they couldn't fix my tire cause it was Michelin and said they didn't have the proper tools and recommended Costco. We went to Costco and got it fixed! I bought the lifetime wheel alignment warranties for two cars from the Dublin store, and both times, both cars, the records were NOT in the system! For my first car, they were able to call the Dublin store and locate the warranty. For my second car, they flatly declined the warranty. I have yet to go to the Dublin store to claim my extended warranty; will try it tomorrow and will update the review accordingly. So my Low Tire Pressure warning light came on Saturday night. I was a bit surprised since only two weeks prior I had my car serviced at the dealer. I also didn't hear any weird sounds and this morning, my tires still looked OK. Lucky for me, Wheel Works is one of the few neighborhood tire service places open on a Sunday! There was indeed a large screw wedged into my rear tire. I only noticed it after pulling into the lot. They were able to repair the tire for just under $30 and finish the job in about 90 minutes. This is despite me not having an appointment and what looked like a super-busy Sunday with lots of customers trickling in. 5 stars for the quick service and for being open on a Sunday morning! I was almost afraid I had to cancel my lunch date with a bunch of high school buddies I haven't seen in decades, but Wheel Works got me in and out! read more

I am a happy customer. They price match Costco; they have the same perks as Costco but also have the alignment that is required to honor the tire warranty. They ordered my tires, installed them, and had my car ready in one day. I ended up needing a tire sensor, and they went out of their way to make sure they got one the same day. All the guys are so nice and respectful. As a Costco tire repeat customer, I will never buy tires from them again. Costco Danville refused to honor my warranty even though I complied with the rules, i.e., alignments every 5k miles. I called them and they had ran flat tires in stock which fits my tire specs. The guy was friendly and helpful. Drove my car slowly to the shop and they took care right away. Very sad and terrible place! So I went to get a four wheel alignment on my vehicle. So they told me to leave the vehicle because they didn't know how long it would take. I got there when it opened so I figured I would hang out for a little. They were done with my vehicle in 45 minutes really quick right. The second I pulled off and started driving more than 45 mph I noticed my vehicle was still pulling to the right but worser than before I brought it in. Not only that once I got home I was wondering where my sunglasses were, I cannot find them. After searching for hours I realized the last place they were was my vehicle. Yes an associates stole my sunglasses and a pocket knife wow really you must be kidding me! I will never ever go here again in my life. I've had a breathalyzer in my car for over a year I've never had a problem with it until coming into this location for an oil change. A $35 oil change turned into $300+ oil change. They were extremely careless after detailed simple instructions that every other shop has been able to follow in the past year, shut off the car immediately, don't try to start it, don't blow it etc it will lock me out. I don't know what they did but as soon as I tried to start it it showed a violation 3 letting me know I had 4 days to take care of the lockout that comes with multiple charges to the breathalyzer company as well as the shop that did my installation. read more

I've been taking our vehicle to the Dublin Wheel Works for25+ years through many managers. Armando was the best. Unfortunately, can't say the same for current manager. Brought one of our vehicles in for a tire rotation. When I picked it up, the manager recommended $1,958.46 of service: - New Tires ($1,228) - current tires were installed at this Wheel works 4/19 less than 10K miles ago and all have 6-7mm tread remaining - Front Brake Job - pads & rotors ($389.97) - existing pads/rotors were replaced less than 5K miles ago and show very little wear - "Lifetime Alignment" ($199.99) - slight outside edge wear on fronts which was reason for my desire for a rotation. I got my mothers car towed into this place and you know with no appointment and you towed in places aren't always the nicest ..... maaaaaaan Andrew & Mel came thru for us like some real champs maaaaaan look they got us in and out so fast I was able to get her from church on time amen to that ..: let me add details tho .... When we first got there they Came right out told me where you have them drop it and assured me they would handle it while I took her to church... welllll they did it boss I'm gone need you to get them some lunch!!!!
