This review is entirely my experience with customer service as opposed to the quality of the work. I assume the quality is ok...but the customer service..wow...just wow. I got my tire wall punctured and need to be fixed, amd to make matters worst I was 10 miles from home. Being not in the best of moods I wasn't particularly chatty. When Kaitlyn, the customer service representative, stated that it will take five hours to fix the tire I did a double take, and on top of that proceeded to tell me how they are staying after hours to do the job. Fast forward to 6:30, when they claim it was going to be done, it qas still not on the rack, I waited. It took until 7:30, and when Kaitlyn got the paperwork, Ryan the other customer service proceeded to tell me how he didn't appreciate my attitude. After a few words, he called over Ray V, who identified himself as the store manager, he apologized profusely, while Ryan continued to yell at me. After reading other reviews I am pretty sure another reviewer had the same problem with both Kaitlyn and Ryan. I will now complain to corporate regarding this interaction. read more

I've been coming here for years with no problems. Multiple cars. One time an appointment did take EXTREMELY longer and I was pissed, but they took money off the total so that was a plus. Wasted time! Yes the work got done, and it got done right... I had an 8:30 am appointment got there at 8:15, one car in shop. I needed 2 tires... I didn't walk out until 10:30 I could have walked down to the local good ol boys tire shop and rolled 2 tires home and put them on myself in 1 hour. These guys were lazy and super busy doing everything BUT my work. at 10 am when I finally piped up over the lack of timeliness I was given some lame excuse and then by some miracle the work went from NOT even close to complete in 15 minutes. I even had to tell them how to remove the simulated bead locks so they could mount the tires! Don't waste your time! I needed a warranty replacement tire for my other car this past week and drove all the way to Concord, they did the work AND an oil change in 40 minutes with no appointment they were very friendly and professional!!! They even washed the tires up and made them all shiny! I will NOT go back to Vallejo, I will go to Concord it's farther, it costs to go over the bridge and it is STILL a way better use of MY TIME! read more

I went there to repair a nail in my tire and said they can't do it. So i came back with my old tires i bought from them near new and he said it was too old to put on. So what do i have to do to get it fixed. Went to Tascolito down the street and said they can't fix it either, Les Schwab down the street was perfect. I told them my dilemma that Wheelworks and Tascolito wouldn't fix it. So i told him to take a look at it and said i just want to swap my old tires but showed him the nail and this is what Jean said "we can fix that and who said you can't fix that?". He said come back in an hour for the tires but was actually a lot faster than that so they called me. Went to see what was the price and Felix said it was on the house... Sorry to say but they just made Wheelworks look like they don't want to help anyone and suck up all that money.. Car is back on the road and i would check out Les Shwab. Wow great job guys. I took my car in in Monday for 4 tires found both Josh and Gil to be very helpful and knowledgeable in answering all my questions. I had shown Josh my quote from big o tires and Les Schwab and he was more then helpful with matching pricing and getting me the proper tires for my car. They did a great job with inspecting my car before installing my tires and having my car done long before expected. I will be coming back here for years to come. Went in for a simple oil change. The techs put my truck on the lift and a few minutes later they bring me over to show me my brake lights are not working. Either of them. Hmmmmm... they were working just the night before. Wanted to sell me a brake switch and I declined. Thinking it's a fuse, I had my friend follow me home. When I got home, checked the fuse, and the fuse for the brakes was MISSING!! Someone removed the brake fuse. When we replaced the fuse the brakes worked perfectly!!! VERY DANGEROUS!!! Very disappointed in the service and deceitful tactics used by this shop. read more

Efficient and thoughtful team at Wheel Works. Had a nail in my tire and showed up at 9am on Sunday. The gal at the desk informed me that there were 3 appointments ahead of me and that the wait would be about 2 hours. Ok here's my story 10.30.16 my tire has a nail and it cant be fix.. i have a bridgestone potenza tire  bought from them lastyear 2015. So it still have a warranty . .when i get there a guy named DEVIN he assist me right away after he looked my wheel he said that the bridgestone potenza was discontinued and he doesn't have it no more so he gave me a firestone same size and everything but its a bit smaller than my old tires . .after that i tried to drive in freeway my car keeps pulling me on right side . .so i came back i told him that i dont feel safe and comfortable with it and keeps pulling me on right side.. he said he dont believe it . .and the only thing he can do is to put the new tire to my rear . I was fine with that but the nxtday i notice that the my car is not balance because the new tire was a bit smaller than my old tire .so i  called wheelworks and i pretend to be another costumer and Devin answered the phone and i ask him about the BRIDGESTONE POTENZA and he said he has 2 of it... I got mad...why the fuck he lied ..what if i got accident because of it? ...he has 2 stock of bridgestone potenza and  he said it was discontinued!!so i went back to the shop and ask him again about the bridgestone potenza he answered me like I TOLD YOU IT WAS DISCONTINUED and i was like ok" but the next day i called costumer service i told them everything and they made action for it...and thank you for that . . I brought my car in 2 months ago to replace rear brakes that wheel works recommended. My brakes made no noise until they replaced my brakes. I brought my car in 3 times to figure out what the problem was. Even though i always made appointments my car was always pushed to the end of the line because i am no longer a paying customer, im a warranty customer. II'll brought my car in last Thursday for brake replacement the noise is still there even though the mechanic and the front desk guy say you can barely hear the noise. That is bullshit, my car sounds like a big rig when I reverse. read more

I went to Wheel Works in Vallejo this Sunday. It's pretty much the only tire place that is open in Vallejo on Sunday. I had never been to this location, so I wasn't quite sure what to expect. I was warmly greeted by a man named Ryan who was working behind the front desk. I told him that I needed all four of my tires replaced. He was very friendly and knowledgeable and quoted me for a higher end tire and also a more standard tire. When he inspected my car tires, he very honestly told me that the back tires were still in decent shape and that I could save money by only getting the front two replaced today. He said he would rotate the tires and put the new tires on the back wheels. I thanked him so much for being so friendly and honest. Because he was honest, even though it meant less money for the company, I will now be taking my car here for tire service and other maintenance issues as long as I live in Vallejo. This was my first time I went to this Wheel Works. Zack is new owner and is a decent guy. He was very helpful and gave me a good deal on cost of tires, alignment, balancing and rotation even after I complained and expressed my disatisfaction with the lifetime tire warranty I purchased at another location. I'm always concerned that auto repair shops try to take advantage of women just because we're women and that didn't happen there so I'm pleased with the service and cost. I hope some of the not so nice reviews were because of previous owner. I would recommend the place to others. read more

I was so impressed with the professional staff, who went out of their way to help me when I may have been stranded otherwise! I popped a tire while I was over 70 miles from home, and Wheel Works actually stayed open past closing just for me to make sure I could get home safely with a new tire. HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE! Describes my experience with Wheel Works in Vallejo. I called 3x and spoke with 3 different people, in order to make 1 appointment. The gentlemen I spoke to, that booked my appointment, I specifically specified that I wanted the 9:30a appointment. He said "Sure, No problem. I hope to see you in the morning." (Sat night) Come Sun morning, I arrive 15 mins before openning. With 2 other customers ahead of me. I left my vehicle with them for repairs, this was at 9:30a. He said that he would give me a call when the vehicle is ready for pick up. I wait, AND wait, AND wait. No phone call. Then finally at 3:56p I call the shop. My car STILL ISN'T REPAIRED!!! I ask inquire of the reception guy he tells me "This kind of repair, is an all day repair" (NO IT DOESN'T) and when we book appointments we usually book a 2 hr slot, in case we run into problems. Your appointment was at 11:00a (LIKE HELL IT WAS! I SPECIFICALLY ASKED FOR 9:30A!!! Apparently the guy who took my call, scheduled me for 11a and didn't tell me at all!) ." So the reception guy and I go back and forth, about why it's taken ALL DAY for this repair for 15 mins! And he concludes the call with telling me that I can pick up my vehicle after closing, because thats when it'll be ready. I asked how could I be compesated for my time, my loss of day (because could have worked) and the horrible service I've recieved. He then informed me "Well, we can take 10% off your next service" NO THANK YOU! I want 10% off NOW! Does he really think after keeping my car all day, and then telling me that it won't be ready until after closing, that I'm going to become a regular customer??? What good would 10% do next time? I'm being serviced now! My service is terrible NOW! This was only a reminder why I stopped going to Wheel Works a few years back! Terrible service, and slightly overpriced! At this point I would say STAY AWAY from WHEEL WORKS. At this point I would only reccommend them if you need your car stored free of charge! Because they'll keep it ALL DAY for "repairs". read more

I spoke with Steve this morning and his attitude over my inquiry is very UNPROFESSIONAL. I have been getting the service of this place for my 4 cars but Steve has been a very strange attitude in dealing with customers. I am asking the management and owner to get rid of Steve because you will lose a lot of customers soon. Steve should not work in this kind of customer oriented facility. These guys are scams. Beware! David is a crook! I took my car for brake service by appointment very early morning. He said one my mechanics is coming late so you have to leave the car, i agreed. While entering info on his computer, i ask him about tires because i needed new tires soon. At 1 pm i have not receive any call from him yet about my car, so i called. Just to find out they didn't touch the car yet but he said you're next. At 5:30 pm, i called again because i never got any call or update from them. Just to find out again that my car is still seating in the parking lot. But don't worry you're next. After 15 minutes i called again, david told me they check the brakes and before they can continue i must agree to buy a set of tire from them. My tires are still has 45% tread and still good for another 10,000 miles. I end up taking the car from them un-repaired. Before going to these guys, find another place! They are crooks! OK So I scheduled an appointment for Sunday at 2pm which was one of the last two options online. I called them to make sure they had my appointment and I was told that they didn't have my appointment and that I was welcomed to walk in and leave my car a few hours and then come back once they called me. I asked why the system online allowed me to schedule the appointment if they are booked up. I was put on hold by the lady and a man came on the phone and said that my appointment was not in the system but I could drop off my car and pick up once it was done. My son started to scream while I was asking the man about the tires I wanted to get and he interrupted me saying I can't hear with all the screaming. I asked him if he was the manager and he said very stern "YES I AM" I told him nevermind I will take my business else where. I was not going to waist my time with poor customer service. read more

This last visit for me @ Wheelworks in Vallejo was my last & final. I've been to them 3xs and each time they've failed me. I hate to say it but I should have never gone back to them but I thought I'd give them another chance and yet again, they were awful. They're not the friendliest group of people when you walk in the front door and my major problem is that I've called them before taking my car in and asked them specifically if they handled a specific type of repair and they said yes so I'd bring my car to them, wait for an hour or two only to have them say after the wait they don't do that type of work. They knew in the beginning they didn't do it. This past and last visit I waited 2 hours for an oil change and because my oil was low they wouldn't do the change. I was LIVID!!!! I will not be using them again and have told all that I come across not to use them and will continue to tell people not to use their services. After I started complaining I'm getting the feedback from people "They're horrible" and they had bad experiences with them too. Needless to say this isn't the end. I went there earlier today, Sunday, for my appointment. When I went up to the counter, the person behind the counter did not find my appointment. She said that she only had two people working on the vehicles today. If I wanted, I could leave the vehicle and they would try to fit it in between appointments. That was a nice try on her part, but the fact was, the appointment was lost. I remember speaking to a female employee Sunday last week to make the appointment. Unless there is another female working in that location, I think I spoke to the same employee. Reading earlier reviews, this is not the first time that this location has lost an appointment. The appointment process has to be significantly improved. Are appointments being dropped by the system? Are staff actually entering the information in the system and making the appointment? Or making an appointment is just an exercise in futility? I have made another appointment next week, let's see how that will go. I will keep you all posted. read more

I've been calling around to get estimates on new brakes for my vehicle and I saw that Wheel Works has a coupon for $89.95 per axle. Great right? No, not great. When I called in I was told, yes that's the price, installed. Yep. But we'd need to inspect the vehicle first to see if it needs anything else. Sure well after calling two other reputible companies (B & G tires and Vallejo Car Care Clinic) I am told that every time brakes are replaced the rotors need to be resurfaced. I call Wheel Works again. "Oh yeah, well that's why I told you we'd have to inspect it." Well these other companies don't have to inspect it to tell me that this is an industry standard. Hmmm. Ok well how much if my rotors need to be replaced? "Well, I'm just guessing at $80 to 90 per rotor." Ok well that's why I'm calling you, to get an estimate, can't you look it up? B & G Tires already told me only $60 per rotor. "No, there's all sorts of places we can get rotors from." At that point I realized, this man (Myron I believe his name was, he mumbled) does not want to be helpful. He simply wants to get my car in his shop, pull it apart, and give me an outrageous price that I can't compare to other companies. I'm going with B & G Tires. The manager there, Brian, was completely upfront with me, gave me all the prices, best and worse case scenarios, and I know he's not trying to pull a fast one on me. It seems as time goes by,people(consumers mostly)are getting screwed over more and more.It makes trusting someone elses word or advice harder.Well,over the past couple of years ,I've been going to the Sonoma Blvd. Wheel Works in Vallejo for any and all auto related business I have.I've found a great "no B S "attitude from the staff and management that allows me to relax about work being done,with no need to even think about second guessing what the guys have told me about my vehicle.Here's an example of what I'm saying.Last time I went in for an oil change,there was a dude ahead of me requesting an oil change for his car.The manager ,Matt,looked at the guys info on his monitor and straight up told him that his vehicle wasn't due for an oil change for a couple of thousand miles more.You all know as well as I do,that plenty of other service places would have said nothing,and done the unneeded work,or even claimed to have done the work,when in fact they didn't,and getting away with that crap because the cars oil wasn't even dirty yet.It is these little tip offs and observations that have convinced me that there are honest and reputable establishments still around.I hope that my experiences at W,W. has helped you to trust them,and take your car or truck there too.Good work,good prices and honesty make a worry free experience for you at Wheel Works ,Vallejo. read more
