The staff is wonderful and always so nice but my reason for four stars is based on a few different things .. 1. taste & texture of the ice cream 2. lack of samples yet offers monthly out of the ordinary flavors ( would probabaly sell more if they did.) 3. no banana splits The Sundaes however are huge ! There are tons of different toppings and their prices are decent with the size ratio but the taste of all the ice cream except vanilla is either over power of flavor or not enough flavor .. there is no in between. This month I will say all the flavors are pretty good : the brownie is delicious but not what I would expect from brownie, the pistachio was the bomb but I am not a fan of pistachios usually so that is sort of surprising. The blueberry and strawberry are too artificial for my taste but both dole whips are delicious but a little runnier compared to other dairy spots. No samples of the flavors but they do offer adorable free pup cones that are a tiny cake cone with vanilla ice cream .. its way better than the other spots! There are no banana splits but other whimsical things like pretzel and cookie cones and nachos. It's a cute little walk up window that is open until 930 and is conviently located off madison rd. they have an area with picnic tables but bring bug spray! All in all I reccomend giving a visit - there is also hot dogs, nachos and soft pretzels as a snack! read more

We visited on a hot day and enjoyed some ice cream to cool us down! As someone not currently eating dairy, I was pleased to see they had a dole whip flavor (mango) that was pretty good but I didn't find it as good as most other dole at other dairy whips I've had this summer. It was just a little more melty and less flavorful. One thing that's a little strange is that the walk up window is backed out, making it hard to tell if anyone is inside. It looks like it's closed, but you ring the bell and then are served. The served was very good but I feel the shop would be more approachable if the window was open or there was sole seating or signs he! I don't know that I would have stopped for a visit if it weren't part of the Cincy Battles promotion we were doing. My family members and I all commented that we would have tried some of the more unique menu items but the prices were a little more than we wanted to spend for an ice cream outing. Many of the items were more than $10. Finally, the seating area outside is really nice! There are plenty of covered picnic tables so there's shade and rain protection. It's in a little courtyard away from the street. Overall, i probably wouldn't make a trip to Madisonville just for this, but it was a lovely summer experience. read more

Tried the new ice cream spot last night and was not disappointed! There are a LOT of options for toppings that you can mix and match, or get a premade option. We got sundaes and they were the perfect size - not too small and not so big we couldn't finish them. I want to go back soon and try the bubble waffle cone! Service was very friendly. We had to wait in line for maybe 15 minutes, but it is a small establishment. The only drawback was that there is so place to sit near the location. We ended up eating in the car, which wasn't bad, but I didn't realize it was just a winder place until we got there. Still great and will go back! read more

This place was alright. It's a standard ice cream place out of a window with a public seating area at the end of the block. The disappointment came with the not-so-great cookie cone- overly sweet and so hard to bite through you needed a bowl to contain and ice cream contents. Additionally, the thing that made this place seem interesting was the strange flavors like lemonade, blueberry, barbie flavor, etc. But the place doesn't allow for samples and I'm not a fan of paying for what I might not like, so standard vanilla and chocolate it is. I love ice cream and was super excited to finally try this place out because of all the fun cones and toppings but personally I wasn't impressed. The cookie cone my friend ordered was hard and tasted more like cardboard, my brother had the brownie cheesecake sundae which also wasn't good in my opinion, and I had the dirt n' worms and felt like I had a bowl of chocolate sauce. I originally planned on trying vanilla icecream on a pretzel cone with peanut butter sauce, but when I got to the window to order there was a sign about not putting sauce on the cones because it's messy which had me stressed about completely ordering something else and I didn't want to hold up the long line. It's a cute area and cool concept but for $20 I won't be coming back for subpar icecream when there's other local icecream shops nearby that are better quality and more affordable. read more

Took the two kiddos on an adventure to try out Whetsel Whip and to say it was a hit is an understatement. Color changing spoons! Huge outdoor seating area! Unique bowls and cone varieties! It has already been requested that we return and we haven't even left yet. Pricing is probably a little on the higher end but we did go all out this time. The Ice cream was a huge hit, there was a line! I got the chocolate with Reese's pieces and they were so fresh I also got the Oreo on my ice cream. I was so amazed my the taste. My sister got the birthday shell with chocolate under she was screaming it was so good! It does melt really quick so eat up! The picnic tables were in the grass so me and my sister had to eat in the lot in the very back of the place because our dowgs were out (please cut the grass). The people in front of us got two ice creams for each person! It was bogus. There was only one person working so there was a wait. All in all a great experience! read more

Got a small chocolate cone with sprinkles and the price was good, ambience is a little weird as it's kinda next to a really run down house and kinda just on a random street side. service was terrible, sister ordered a twist brûlée cone with sprinkles, and they forgot the brûlée and the sprinkles, while still charging for both, brother asked for a bowl with his ice cream and we didn't get it till much later. Amazing ice cream! Incredibly large portions which made my stomach ache. I would recommend getting a small cup if you can't handle a lot. The blueberry is a seasonal summer island, which I got. When you read the description, sounds amazing but when we got them, there was hardly anything on the ice cream.
