Stopped in here for the first time while visiting the area. Due to the cooler temps we were thankful we could eat inside. Staff was friendly and kind and we were seated right away. I ordered the French toast with no powdered sugar and my husband ordered an English muffin with soft bacon. I verified that this was correct on the receipt. What we received though was extra crisp bacon, powdered sugar on the French toast, which also seemed undercooked as it was mushy with visible raw egg mixture. Unsure if that how the French toast is normally served here but I think I'll stick to something else next time. read more

Delicious! At dinner last night we asked our waitress for a breakfast spot and she told us about Whisk and Grind. She said it was expensive and the food was just ok. I'm SO glad we didn't listen!!! The food was amazing! My husband had the homemade corned beef hash with chorizo and it was so good!!! The biscuit was big and fluffy and the grits were perfect!! True southern grits!! It's hard to find grits this good! Also...don't pass on the crumb cake. It was absolutely delicious!! Our waitress was one of the owners and she was incredibly kind and friendly!! Horrible service. The hostess refused to seat a party of 2 even though half the tables were empty. She said they like to make people 15-30 minutes before seating them in order to not overwhelm the kitchen. If the kitchen gets overwhelmed from a half full restaurant maybe you shouldn't have so many tables. read more

We live in Tallahassee, but were visiting our son and his family and he recommended we try out this spot. The restaurant is very clean and the ambience is excellent. Lots of natural light! We were greeted by a very friendly staff, and seated immediately in the outside area, which has a nice view of A1A. It's far enough from the road so you don't hear much of the road traffic. But they also have music playing in the seating area. It was audible but not over powering, so we could hear it but still have a normal conversation. Claudia was our server and a did a great job! She was clearly paying attention, and so she knew when to step in to ask if we needed or wanted anything. All of the orders were exactly as we requested, and she made sure to refresh coffee and drinks, or clear plates as we finished. The food was excellent! There were 6 of us and all of us thoroughly enjoyed our meals, so I would expect everything on the menu is going to be great. Would definitely come back. read more

All I want to say is that this is the kind of place that charges almost $5 for a cup of coffee and then another 65 cents if you want to put cream in it. Not oat milk, not anything special. I cannot say enough good things about this place! Food was an absolute 5/5 stars and the coffee was to die for (i got an iced white chocolate mocha and my BF got the black tie). The ambiance is homey, and welcoming and clean. We loved our first experience so much we went back again the morning before we head out of town. I got the huevos rancheros and it was fantastic and my husband got the raspberry stuffed French toast which was amazing. They also have a 12 under menu which is very accommodating for kids and the portion sizes are large! The coffee though is like a secret gem!! You will not be disappointed. Service is absolutely horrible, owner has a nasty attitude and the prices do not justify the portions. 8 dollars for a fruit cup that's the same quality as one from 7/11. The food was absolutely horrible from our potato's (which were nearly burnt) and the omelette that had little fillings and when commented on it she justified it by saying "that's just how we do it." I would not recommend this establishment especially when there's much better breakfast joints less than 5 minutes away. read more

Unique breakfast restaurant with a lot of different options. Food came out quicker than our drinks, but wasn't a big deal. Had Huevos rancheros and was quite pleased with it. Wife had central scramble and didn't care for it. Cheese was greasy and onions needed to be cut much smaller. Overall I probably would return and try several other dishes. read more
