My husband is the pickiest most stubborn person who will only ever eat the same things he's always eaten and doesnt trust anything new or healthy. I managed to get him to try a bite where the result, I believe, was confusion, shock, and happiness. And then he ate more and kept contemplating what was happening to him until he said " Hmph! Wow. These are good!" For anyone new to gluten free or vegan confectionaries, I know these "labels" tend to shoot up immediate red flags, but I am telling you, these are amazing and addictive! Yes the texture is different than your usual flour, butter, egg cookie, but the texture (like a fine-nutty-buttery-chewy grain) is actually surprisingly wonderful and perfect! These bite sized chewy goodnesses have just the right amount of sweet but still are somehow packed with so much flavor ( and protein!! ) and delightful chew in the right proportions. Size, flavor, texture, variety. Bookies checks them all for me! I honestly love all the flavors. YES. YES. YESSSSS. Booskies is it. Booskies is divine!! So two things: 1. I've been trying to transition into a gluten free diet (WAY harder than I expected, but isn't it always that way?) 2. My newest & yet my closest friends are vegan & one of them is gluten free. They just so happened to have their anniversary & his birthday on the same day so we had to get them something good! We made them a fun little care package & I was desperately in search of a dessert that was vegan, gluten free, and above all, GOOD. And Yelp just so happened to lead me to Booskies. I texted, not expecting to have my order fulfilled as it states clearly on the website that they sell out of cookies quickly however, Everlyn was able to make my dreams come true. We came to a great compromise, two orders of the Strawberry Preserves & one of the Chocolate Chip! They were ready for me promptly at 1:00 PM, she accepts Venmo, cash, & card (I opted for card). The process was easy with the reader, she emailed me the receipt immediately, & handed me a cute little paper bag with my goodies inside! I kept a bag of the Strawberry for myself, all of the reviews showed me that I couldn't pass them up and they were RIGHT! So soft, the perfect texture, & the strawberry in the middle is the PERFECT touch. These cookies are absolutely amazing! My best friend ended up with a bag that her boyfriend brought home from a work event, and I could not stop eating them. We had to make an order immediately.
