The food, service and ambiance is amazing. I got the Alfredo pasta with chicken which came to $28.17 after tax, it was so flavorful and a much larger dish than I expected. I had a whole container of left overs which I devoured later. The bar tenders and servers were awesome and I got to meet some of the locals who were so kind. The staff was friendly and attentive. I ordered an old fashion and a local craft beer IPA. The vibe of this place is pretty sweet. It reminds of McMenamins in the PNW. It's got a sophisticated look, great food for a fair price, and great cocktails. We sat at the bar and the bartender was very friendly. He made sure to greet us as soon as we sat down. When we made our drink orders, he only took a couple minutes to get both of them done. They were quite delicious. Definitely an upscale cocktail bar. I had the mango margarita. There's just something for me about a margarita that doesn't taste entirely like sweet and sour. I had ordered sweet potato fries and it was more than I could eat. I mentioned to the waiter that I should have never ordered the fries, since they went uneaten. She removed the item from my check. I was recently in town for a solo weekend away and wanted to treat myself to a nice steak dinner before a big hike. It was a Friday night, however I was promptly seated in a cozy booth all to myself and greeted by my wonderful server Kimberley. Kimberley was so friendly and attentive; she took great care of me and ensured I was in and out, so I could get to bed for an early wake-up. Hmm...this was a miss, but I can see how it could be a better meal at times. For now, skip this. There are way better options in Bishop. I added steak to my wedge salad, but I was quite surprised to see that the steak wasn't cut up and added to the salad. Fine, but odd. The salad was truly sickly sweet. The port sauce drowned out the flavors and made the salad flavors off. I order my streak medium well and it came out still bloody. My partner liked his ribeye meal more, but the streak wasn't done anywhere close to his preference. The bacon wrapped shrimp appetizer was again just okay. The tomato in the center was really lacking in flavor and quite frankly, an unnecessary add. As for the potatoes, they are like all other instant mashed potatoes, super good while they are hot and inedible at any other temperature. They may make these potatoes by hand, but they are making them by a hand that dumped out a box into a pot. The drinks were also just okay. My old fashioned was hooded, but it was because they charged four extra dollars to add Bullit. It was worth it. My partner's amaretto sour tasted like straight triple sec. I always call him a hummingbird because he likes sweet drinks but even this was too sweet. I upped the star rating because they are operating as best as they can - almost - during Covid. I saw many of the younger staff working with masks down under their chin. I even saw one of the men who was serving food and *not* wearing a mask cough (!!!) with his mouth open while he was holding a plate of food. The Thai food is not the same as it was when they first added it to their menu. Don't know if it is because their having a difficult time getting the ingredients or if they have just changed the recipes over time. We ordered Coconut Soup. Masuman Curry w/beef and Cashew Chicken. The soup had very little coconut flavor and was super thin. The Cashew Chicken was more like a soup with cashews floating on top. The Masuman Curry had some flavor but again it was like a thin soup. All three dishes had the same size cabbage, carrots, onion in them and the Cashew Chicken had sliced zucchini. I've never had zucchini in Cashew Chicken. Maybe it's time to call the retired Thai chef back to give the cooks a refresher course. I love that Whisky Creek has Thai food on their menu, I just wish it was better. read more

if you are ever in this town you need to stop at Wiskey Creek. The food and staff here are amazing. Kim the waitress was on point she knew when to fill your drinks, ask how everything was going. We had to make a point to tell her to thank Jose the chef everything was cooked perfectly steak was tender to the point were it melted in your mouth, ribs fell off the bone so tender.
