Last night, my fiancé surprised me with the most incredible birthday dinner at Whiskey Prime Steakhouse with 10 of our closest friends and family. From the moment we walked through the doors until the time we left, the experience and service were absolutely top-tier. Thank you to the entire team for your kindness, hospitality, and for making our first visit one we'll never forget! Before we even ordered, each table was served a warm, round loaf of bread with herb butter. Oh my...this was heaven! The bread was soft and fresh with the perfect crust, and paired with the flavorful herb butter, it was nearly impossible to stop eating. It was the perfect way to start the meal. There were 11 of us, so I was able to sample quite a few dishes and capture about half of the table's orders for this review. Starters A couple of the guys ordered the Caesar Salad, and I had to sneak a bite. It was packed with flavor, topped with crispy bits, and was large enough to share or easily enjoy as a meal on its own. Another guest ordered the Wedge Salad, which was loaded with tomatoes, creamy blue cheese dressing, and crispy tobacco onions. It disappeared quickly (minus the onions!). Entrées Four of us ordered the 8 oz USDA Prime Filet, cooked to perfection. Every steak was juicy, tender, and absolutely delicious. My fiancé ordered the 24-Hour Wagyu Short Ribs, and they were phenomenal. The meat was incredibly flavorful, fall-off-the-bone tender, and literally melted in your mouth. The plate was cleaned! Another member of our party had the Roasted Chicken Breast and couldn't stop talking about how moist, flavorful, and delicious it was. Definitely a winner. Shareable Sides The sides are designed to be shared, which made it perfect for our group. We ordered: * Corn Ribelets * Wheatley Potatoes * Loaded Baked Potato * Yukon Potato Purée * Beef Tallow Fries The Corn Ribelets were hands down the best I've ever had! The seasoning was incredible, and while they came with a chipotle aioli, they honestly didn't even need it they were perfect on their own. The Wheatley Potatoes were unlike anything I've had before. Think crispy, rectangular hash browns topped with Parmesan cheese. They were absolutely divine! The Loaded Baked Potato was ordered by my daughter (definitely not meant for sharing!), and she loved every bite. It was generously sized and loaded with all the classic toppings. The Yukon Potato Purée was light, fluffy, and buttery, served with a flavorful chimichurri that complemented it perfectly. And the Beef Tallow Fries... WOW! Crispy, perfectly seasoned, and not a single soggy fry in the basket. They came with dipping sauces, but honestly, no one even used them because the fries were that good! To top off an already amazing evening, the restaurant surprised me with a delicious birthday dessert, which was such a thoughtful touch. I truly can't say enough about the service. Several team members checked on our table throughout the evening, and our waitress was exceptional. She took the time to explain the menu, recommend shareable sides, describe the dishes, and made sure everything was perfect. Her knowledge and genuine hospitality made the evening even more special. So good!! Brought the ex-girlfriend here before we split and she was super impressed. Ordered the New York strip and we split it with a Caesar salad, green beans, carrots covered in a delicious glaze and a baked potato. I was impressed. The steak was tender and juicy, cooked to perfection. The price is what you'd expect for a steakhouse. We split the steak because it was like 50$ for one steak but it is worth the experience. We tipped our server well because it feels cheap to split a steak but maybe that's just me. Try this place out, the vibe is great for dates and the lights are low. We have been going here for many years but we're very disappointed last night. They got the order wrong but did fix it. But then when they packed the leftovers, they mixed up the boxes with my husband's steak in with my side dish. His side dish in a separate box and did not pack my leftover meat. With my food allergies, I won't be able to eat my side dish because of cross contamination with the topping on the steak. They have always had great food and service but the menus have been going downhill and now the service is following. Everything is amazing! I used to spend my birthdays at Tulalip Casino's blackfish Grill, but after Covid and their amazing chef left it went downhill big time! I was happy to hear that that chef is now at whiskey, prime and Angel of the winds Casino and I spent my birthday today December 17 eating his amazing food and falling in love with every single bite! Came here for dinner with low expectations since we haven't had many good meals at casino restaurants outside of Vegas, but I was pleasantly surprised! We ordered almost everything from each section of the menu but my favorites were the Cesar salad, crispy fried rice, and ribeye hatchet. The crispy fried rice had chunks of duck meat in it and the flavors were rich but balanced. The ribeye hatchet was grilled perfectly medium rare and was super tender. We also ordered a few dishes to go, and I would order the swordfish cioppino and rigatoni again to try fresh because they were delicious at home! Others in our group enjoyed the wagyu short ribs but they were a little too salty for my liking, and the crab toast although delicious, was too hard for me to bite. We also ordered truffle fries and lobster Mac and cheese, which were both delicious but I could only take a few bites of each dish. Service had its ups and downs; our server was nice but was maybe flustered because she would forget some of our order and then we had issues with our bill, then she tried to be nice by adding a complimentary dessert since she overcharged us for something but didn't even ask what we wanted so I didn't end up eating it anyways. Whiskey Prime Steakhouse, saturday night, 7 o'clock reservations for the two of us. No one at the host desk so we entered the half empty restaurant and stood inside the door for a couple minutes looking at a table, whose dirty dishes were still there . Finally, we were seated next to the dirty table , ten feet from the noisy bar which was literally in the same space as the dining room. The entire restaurant was one large room that felt like a college common area. People dining at their tables had to raise their voices to be heard in conversation. We noticed a couple had to get up from their table and pay the bartender for their meal because their server had disappeared. Next we ordered our meal and a drink of which the Diet Coke never came. The server had suggested that we add an appetizer of bread to our meal. Halfway through the bread we came across an 8 inch strand of black hair. Food was great but service was pretty slow. For this they get 4 stars. Got a smoked Sezarac to drink and it's always fun watching them get all Smokey. The bread was great with the fig butter. The Caesar salad is amazing!!! I didn't want to cut my own lettuce, but I decided to give it a try and it was divine! The croutons crumbles was the best part! My friend got the wedge salad, which of course I had do indulge in it as well. It was phenomenal and the tobacco onions were prime! What a great way to kick off our dining experience. The truffle fries were ok, it barely had any truffle seasoning, or maybe it did, but I couldn't taste it. The filet mignon came on a gigantic plate compared to the size of the steak, and it wasn't presented nicely. Just meat on a plate with its juices, so that was boring. It was pretty good though. The mashed potatoes were creamy and plentiful. The braised short rib was salty, but they gave a decently large piece unlike other steakhouses who give a small short rib! I loved the carrots it came with because it was not overcooked, so I was happy about that. In my opinion, the brussel sprouts were too tangy and saturated in sauce. I want to start this review off by saying, Whiskey Prime has not always been a five star experience to me. When they first opened somewhere around 5 years ago I was consecutively disappointed by both the cocktails and the steaks that would arrive at our table (although the burger was quite good, that wasn't the reason you make reservations and a steakhouse) HOWEVER! This most recent trip, deciding to give it another try after stumbling upon a significantly refreshed menu online came back with a much different experience. Posting in order and with pictures associated for most things we had, I will start by saying every single thing exceeded all expectation in flavor and quality. Starting off with an Artichoke Bread accompanied by a handcrafted whipped balsamic butter, this was a combination of words and flavors I have never experienced and came as a recommendation of our bartender so I didn't want to decline. Soft, Warm, Airy, Rich, Light, Fluffy all around a great starter. (Thank you Rachel) Moving right in to the Barrel Aged Manhattan, consisting of both Bourbon and Rye from our local Woodinville distillery, along with their cherry bitter and Creme de Cerise -- I am very picky when it comes to my Manhattans, and this was in the top two I have had the pleasure of enjoying in my adult dining lifetime. -- The Front of House Manager Chris Bertrand and I went in to great depth on the curation of their cocktail recipes, the decision making process and their impressive selection of harder to find spirits. His knowledge and commitment to quality made this experience an over the top joy. From there who were we to say no to a Roasted Garlic Bone Marrow, for those of you unfamiliar this is a rich and buttery spreadable that comes with toasted Baguette. I like mine with a pinch of fresh ground black pepper and this was perfectly prepared. Then a small intermission with half Caesar. Fresh, crispy with a delightful in house dressing. Now, for the good stuff. We moved in to an item on the menu that kept jumping out, this was "The Chairman" an 18 ounce dry aged ribeye, smoked with bourbon aged oak chips and brushed wit ah 12 year aged balsamic. Trying to relay the complexities of flavor that this steak exudes is difficult, but I believe the description of what went in to her preparation is fitting. A little smokey, a little sweet and a touch of salt. Very happy with this as our main course. Finally for dessert, we moved on to another bartender recommendation. This time in the form a 4 ounce A5 Wagyu accompanied by a smoked Celtic salt and an aged soy. both of the the latter you just barely introduce as to not dilute the magnificent flavor of Wagyu on it's own. This was melt in your mouth, cooked to perfection, savor every bite. We can only hope that this remains or returns to the special menu as I have every intention to coming back, if just for this snack on it's own. I've dine at this restaurant many times since we discovered it few years ago. At first, I fell in love and really enjoyed their steak, particularly ribeye is one i always ordered as well as all of their other dishes, including appetizer and other entree. Last night, my family and I visited the restaurant and i was extremely disappointed with the quality and taste of each dish. IT IS SALTY!! Way too salty!! Particularly on the seared scallops with risotto and side vegetables mushrooms. When I first tried my scallop and risotto dish, I was shocked how salty it was but i didn't want to mention it thinking maybe it is just a one off situation ( which now i regret for not speaking up to my server), but when the mushroom came and I tried it, it was unbearable salty. I let the server know and they re-made another mushroom dish but it is still over seasoned with salt on the replacement. If the original dish is 10 being the worst, the replacement would still be an 8.. we didn't think it was worth mentioning again when the replacement is still not done right. Today we stopped by this restaurant because I had some Comp money in my card at the Angel of the Wind . The restaurant name is Whiskey Prime Steakhouse located inside this casino in Arlington. The Prius some what expensive, but we were able to pick some samples up to try with our Comp money. Totally forgot to take pictures first before diving in, but I got some pictures for you all to see. Not too bad. I had the pork chops, juicy and Not dry. The pastywere ok . It was a little chewy. The lobster Mac & cheese to me was the best of all. Plenty to go around for us (4) people. The open bread was really different, really good & also their own butter was also different. Kinda sour, really goes good with their bread . The next time I visit I will do them Steak. My wife took me to Whiskey Prime to celebrate my birthday recently. They are located within The Angel of the Winds Casino in Arlington. Being the son of a Las Vegas transplant from Hawai'i, I am no stranger to the casino scene, and as such I have frequented many different restaurants both on and off The Strip. So I judge Washington State Casino restaurants comparatively, drawing upon my decades of Las Vegas dining to set a standard. So when I say that Whiskey Prime is the best Steakhouse of any casino restaurant both in Washington State and Las Vegas I hope the weight of that statement is clear. The ambiance was very cozy and our server Julie mentioned that the interior changes with the seasons so it was definitely fall with lots of orange and brown. Like the interior, the menu is also somewhat seasonal, so some items cycle in and out. Water comes from a bottle and the complimentary bread is hot and fresh with a generous side of butter served at a temperature allowing it to be easily spread. For starters, we had the Scallops Rockefeller, which was superb. Our server Julie gave us good advice on dinner and commented that their portions were quite large. So for our main course we decided shared a very large baked potato and their 18oz. "Chairman" steak. This steak features a garlic confit, a 12-year aged balsamic vinegar marinade, and is smoked with bourbon-soaked oak... ...now, I wish my wife had recorded my first bite of this "Chairman" (which our server Julie proclaimed was from a family recipe of the chairman of their tribe) because apparently I rolled my eyes in sheer euphoria. This was simply the best non-Wagyu steak I have ever had. To finish up, we had two deserts: a pumpkin creme brulee (on the house, since we were celebrating my birthday) and their dark chocolate cake. You guys. My husband made reservations for my birthday for tonight, and I have to admit that after reading the Yelp reviews on our drive there, I was a little pessimistic about going. I read "overpriced", "long waits", and "no reservations". Well, let me tell you this: That's no longer the case. We made a reservation easily on Opentable. When we got there, they were expecting us, and even thanked us for using their reservation service. Seated immediately. Larry - the host - was exceptionally friendly, and let us know the rules as far as social distancing goes, and that their goal is to "blow us away" with their food. As a Seattle area ER nurse, acutely aware of the danger COVID poses, I have to say that I was extremely pleased with the precautions that Whiskey Prime has taken. We were substantially far away from any other table, all staff members wore masks (correctly), and we witnessed the cleaning of tables and surfaces frequently. Our server, Diane, was excellent and spot on in her recommendations. She was everything you'd like in a server: Willing to give her opinion, friendly, attentive without being overbearing, and just generally wonderful. Our steaks were perfectly done. I had the Ribeye, and my husband had the NY. He started with the French Onion Soup (served in an actual onion instead of a bowl) and I had a Caesar Salad. If you don't care for the taste of anchovy, this salad isn't for you, as it's readily tasted in the dressing (as the menu states). I, personally, loved it. The French Onion Soup was also very good. The portion was on the smaller side, but the execution was excellent. One thing that may throw folks off is that the steaks are listed at "Market Price". Some people rightfully might find this uncomfortable. For reference, tonight, market price was $55 each. I will add a photo of our receipt for reference. We loved our dinner. The asparagus, while larger stalks than we normally would buy in a store, was perfectly cooked, as was the baked potato. One suggestion I'd make for the potato, however, would be to offer chives or cheese, as "loaded" is generally assumed to include those items, and our potatoes, as other reviewers have mentioned, included bacon and sour cream. Regardless, they tasted very nice. They were out of the bread pudding that we had set our hearts on, but the Creme Brûlée we chose instead was one of the best we've ever had. We did indicate in our reservation that it was my birthday, but they didn't seem to do anything in particular for that. Finally, I have to tell you that I did something extremely foolish while leaving. I did not realize that my purse's zipper was open, so as I went to pick it up, I spilled its entire contents on the floor. As I stooped to pick up the mess, I bumped the table, consequently knocking over my entire (full) drink. I was SO embarrassed. People were looking at me. The manager whose name I didn't get (sweet petite lady with short white hair) came over, and realized I wasn't a clumsy drunk patron, asked for my drink to be replaced. I was so appreciative of that, despite being embarrassed by what I had done. I will not forget her kindness. Thank you! So, in closing, I ask that as you read through the negative reviews here on Yelp- take them with a grain of salt. Most are lamenting about long wait times and no reservation system, but that's not the case anymore. This establishment deserves your patronage. We were extremely impressed - not only with the food, but with the staff as well. You won't regret giving them a try. Promise. Love the skinny fries and baked potato. Comfortable seating. It can be hard to get a reservation so it's best to plan ahead. They're only open for dinner. The service was a bit on the slow side, especially for drinks but that is the general theme right now with restaurants and staffing issues we've found. Gave this place a try twice within a few weeks. The environment seems a bit like a regular restaurant rather than a steakhouse. I don't know, maybe because it's buried inside a casino all the way in the back. It felt very claustrophobic. The service was nice, but the food was so so. There were no outstanding items off the menu, but I do have to say the corn ribs was the best of everything on that menu. They do start off with free bottled water and bread with butter. The first time we went, we ordered the oysters (okay), scallop ceviche (okay), corn ribs (the best), Buffalo style mushroom (salty), bone in steak (chewy), swordfish (good), truffle fries (good), strawberry merengue desert (super hard and sweet) and the creme brûlée (very sweet). The second time, artichoke (good), corn ribs (still so good), garlic shrimp (delicious), chairman steak ( chewy and such a bad cut), swordfish (this time taste like ammonia) and for dessert the huckleberry gelato ( too much pie crust crumbles). They get a little weird with their desserts (are pop rocks In dessert edgy or just weird?), but desserts aren't what you go there for. Sides are meant to be shared, so plan accordingly or be prepared to take a lot home. The ambiance is mid. Dark, windowless, a little depressing. The service is phenomenal though. My husband and I went here on Wednesday for our 14th wedding anniversary. It was easy to get same-day reservations and, when I contacted the restaurant, they said we could bring our children with us despite it being in a casino. We ended up finding a babysitter and so we were able to go out on our first date in 4 years lol. The restaurant itself is a little bit hard to find if you're not looking for it, but I think that gives it a bit of extra specialness. The food is exquisite. I've become a bit of a steak snob after having the opportunity to eat at the Metropolitan Grill a few times and was pleasantly surprised to find out that Whiskey Prime is absolutely scrumptious! My husband and I shared a hatchet steak, a salad, and a baked potato. We didn't even finish half the food and felt like we needed to be rolled out of there Violet Beauregard style! (Made an awesome breakfast hash with the leftovers the next morning.) One of my favorite parts of this restaurant was seeing how everyone was working together to cover each other's customers. There wasn't any "oh, let me get your server for you" type of thing, we had multiple people stop by our table to drop things off so that we weren't kept waiting for too long. We came here for our 47th wedding anniversary, so it was a special occasion. They serve prime steaks among other items. The meal started with a fresh, warm loaf of whole wheat bread and whipped butter. The wife had the 8 oz tenderloin and said it was maybe the best steak she'd ever eaten - tender, juicy and cooked as she ordered; a perfect medium rare. It came with a choice of side and she selected the puréed potatoes which were wonderful. I ordered the 18 oz rib eye. It was cooked medium rare as I ordered. It did have a little more gristle than I expected but was ok. I also had the puréed potatoes which were excellent. I also ordered a Caesar Salad which I expected to arrive before my entree, in time for me to finish. Unfortunately it did not. I had barely begun eating it when our steaks arrived. It was for this reason I deducted one star from my rating. When paying $150 for a meal and tip I expect impeccable service. Other than this one faux pas the service was good. By the way, the Caesar Salad was very, very good! Cold, crisp, hearts of romaine and a delicious creamy Caesar dressing. I actually could detect some anchovy. They also served us a special small dessert for our anniversary which was tasty. The restaurant is inside the Angel of the Winds Casino and is 35+ miles each way from our home base near Concrete. For this reason it will be a very occasional meal for us. But I'd be willing to dine there in the future. The steaks were good enough to make the trip. read more

This was my favorite date night and place to take friends. However, the menu has been significantly scaled back. The lack of options really is disappointing. Don't get me wrong, the steaks are great, but I miss the included mashed potatoes or onions. Now sides are all separate. The cheapest steak is over $50, so I don't think including potatoes is a big ask. I also greatly miss the menu option for soups, lobster, a chicken dish and salmon. I'm not a picky eater, but have trouble finding anything to pick when I'm not in the mood for steak. The wedge salad is still awesome. read more
