I have to say first that they make the most awesome french fries I've ever had. You actually want to eat them without any ketchup. This is a good choice for everything between casual dining and fine dining on the La Conner waterfront. It has excellent on the water seating. fresh seafood which is also excellent. Brie starter was excellent and the French dip was excellent. I checked the reviews and every Yelp Elite has given it between four and five stars and this is the true rating. 5 for food, 4.5 for service.

In the afternoon on Easter Sunday the Hostess was rude and not comforting. When we suggested to sit somewhere else she rolled her eyes and asked us to grab the menus and our silverware, knowing we were carrying shopping bags and a child in our arms. She wasn't holding anything as she walked us to another table. She probably figured that was our punishment for even asking ( that's how it felt ). A hostess has never asked us to do such a thing. She definitely needs some customer service etiquette training. Our waited staff was great though. I appreciated how he treated us. He was definitely thoughtful and considerate, while the hostess girl with the long black hair (pictures below) needed a customer service check with management!

Great service! Pan seared halibut was bone dry. Will make sure to request mid rare next time. Great baked potato. Veggies were asparagus stems and red onions

Great place, we had dinner here and the food was exceptional. We enjoyed the beautiful scenery looking out their windows, also our waitress was super friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend this restaurant for a quaint and delicious dining.

Great food & great friendly Service. Cocktails very good. Quick service. And very nice ambiance. We've visited several times over the years, and always enjoy. I had the fish tacos. Tasty & filling.

Wonderful place. We liked the food very much, and we especially liked our server--the terrific and helpful, Mikayla. The rest of the staff we were helped by were also wonderful. We had the macadamia nut encrusted halibut and the half-Caesar salad and cioppino, all of which were very nice. We especially liked the cioppino which was very full of all kinds of seafood and not heavy on the broth. Mikayela also highly recommended the scallops. I love a luscious scallop! After a spell, another server came by with two serving plates of two very large scallops on each plate. He deposited one on plate on our table and then took the other elsewhere while I was nearly fainting! The price we were paying and only two scallops!? So be forewarned. My solution was to take small bites and concentrate--it was actually a good plan. I did end up enjoying my scallop immensely despite my initial shock of anything immense about the serving. It really was incredibly delicious. Very pleasant sitting at a table in the lounge. We would go back in a heartbeat.

There on a quiet Tuesday evening, only one other table seated when we arrived. First time here so we wanted to see the inside of the bar and have a drink before dinner. Hostess was less than friendly about it and also declined to allow us the view the outdoor area to look at the water. Our server was professional and friendly. He was hustling at least five tables alone by the time we were winding down. Decor inside was nautical and pleasing. We shared a shrimp cocktail, Hubs had vodka penne with prawns and I had crab cakes. All delightful. We took a walk along the boardwalk afterwards and saw plenty of people inside the bar area so not sure why the hostess was so grumpy and not letting us sit for a pre-dinner drink.

Came again and had to get prime rib! So good! Nathan took great care of us. We'll be back soon! Perfect Prime Rib! Go and enjoy!

A girlfriend and I had been hiking up north and wanted to pop into town to walk around and get lunch. The staff here were the best and the outdoor seating that is dog friendly is also awesome. I had the cod sandwich and my friend had one of the sandwiches with chicken substitutes. Both of us liked our meals and the fries were extra crispy and delicious. Prices are in like with any other similar restaurant.

I'd originally planned on taking my wife here for dinner after visiting the tulip fields. Reservations for a table are suspended during the month of April, when the tourist flood reaches peak capacity, so I figured I'd walk in a couple hours ahead, get on the list, and return when it was time. Strangely enough, the place I'd opted to go for lunch had a 35 minute wait, but we were seated here at La Conner Seafood and Prime Rib House in less than 2 minutes. Fine with me! We even scored a fantastic, sunny patio table next to the water! From start to finish, our server was incredible. I get the feeling she was the owner or manager, as she casually mentioned, when inquired, that all the drinks on the cocktail menu were of her devising. Regardless, she was pleasant, professional, personable and punctual, and always attentive. I really should have noted her name. Between the two of us, my wife ordered the Dungeness crab cocktail (market price*), Seared sea scallops (market price*), the fish tacos for myself, a Mint Tulip (clever), and a Rosemary Old Fashioned. The crab cocktail was an unbelievable heap of crustacean and cocktail sauce, and it had better have been, as market price* for this appetizer ended up being around $46! I guess we should have asked what "market price" was for the day, in advance! Good thing it was delicious as hell! Similarly, the two thick-cut, savory, almost steak-like sea scallops came to around $23, a price which, again, is only justified by how incredible they were! Now the fish tacos, I have no complaint whatsoever: grilled, seasoned cod, pickled onions, slaw, and the addition of avocado (recommended by our server) made for a wonderful, filling lunch, that lasted me for the rest of the day! Good thing these weren't "market price" as well! As for the cocktails, my wife's Mint Tulip was tart, crisp and floral, while my Rosemary Old Fashioned nailed all the basics, with some herbal accentuation thrown in, which gave it a nice, earthy aroma and aftertaste, in keeping with the season. Overall, La Conner Seafood and Prime Rib House did everything right, from service to seating, ambiance, location, quality of food, barring our own mistake of not checking the prices of things ahead of time. The bill was a bit of a shock, and the onus is partially on us, although I'm sure they could be a bit more forthcoming with costs that are variable. Beyond that, I would absolutely dine here again on our next visit to La Conner.

Ask the Community - La Conner Seafood & Prime Rib

I have never been here before and I was curious how much whiskey/ cocktail drinks are on the average? How much on average would two people be spending with alcohol beverages,…

Last night, my wife had a glass of Chardonnay ($9) and I had a Basil Margarita ($14). Our tab for a burger, an entree, and those 2 drinks was $67.

Our meal was good though prices are high, portions were on the small side, and the kitchen was a bit heavy handed with the salt which was a common thread through our appetizers and entrees. There is no children's menu and truffle salt coated the fries so they were not appealing to young palates. We ordered 4 appetizers shared around the table, bread (excellent but not included with the meal), a single soup, 6 entrees, and 9 cocktails (two with no alcohol). The bill came to just over $600 before tax and tip.

We ordered the Wagyu Burger ($24) with a side salad to split. They charge a $2 split fee, which I prefer over bringing out one meal and an extra plate. The Wagyu Burger is the best burger I have had in a long time. The meat was cooked a perfect medium, and was served with caramelized onions, white cheddar, a most delicious truffle aioli, and a wonderful house made brioche bun. Yum. I was almost sorry I split this one. But that left room for dessert...a luscious chocolate mousse served with whipped cream and a macaron.

The miso cod had the perfect crispiness on the skin and the scallops were perfect. All the tabloids went really well together. The cocktails were not bad, but not our favorite part of the meal. Everyone was super friendly and we really appreciated that our server knew exactly when to check in and give us space. He also picked up on the fact that we wanted to share all the dishes so he brought them out one at a time. The first was my birthday last year, chosen by a friend (I'd never heard of it). This year I was asked where I wanted to go. I did not hesitate to say here! I couldn't be anything other than delighted in my decision--from the pleasantness inside, the wonderful view from our window, the delightful staff and the incredible food and drinks, this place is wonderful. Lucky me that my birthday was on a Wednesday so I could be totally influenced to have oysters-on-the-half shell due to a generous Wednesday night special. I do love raw oysters--and these were so tiny and briny and so incredibly good, I could have eaten five dozen! (I am kicking myself for not finding out what kind they were, but no matter. I would be happy with any they are serving here, I am sure.) I had already planned on having the Oysters Rockefeller (known here as Manor Rockefeller), and so, despite having just downed some oysters, I went ahead anyway and am glad I did! They were wonderful. And there was no real reason for me to pause for a moment in my decision, having already had oysters, because these were soooooo different. It was almost like eating a delicious oyster casserole in a shell. The Mediterranean Mussels were wonderful! (Notice, I was having a dinner of appetizers...) The broth they came in was beautiful (and drinkable, if one were so inclined). I loved the surprising tastiness of the Mama Lil's Peppers swimming around in it. At first I wondered if they would be too hot and compete with the flavor--overwhelming it--but no! Not at all. They were a perfect and flavorful touch. Absolutely wonderful. (And having said that, I know that "pepper heat" is an individual thing--I can tolerate a goodly amount, fyi--I just didn't taste these as hot at all.) Our server, Drew, was immensely helpful (and always charming!) He paired our food with a delicious wine. I guess we would assign my bowl of clam chowder to the dessert category--very thick and creamy--along with a lovely after-dinner cocktail, made by the wonderful and delightful bartender, Sherry. She made me a lovely mocktail to start--I asked Drew to have the bartender just make something up on a whim. It was pretty, colorful and delish with what in it, I have no idea. But, not only was it delectable, it was a vision! All festive and fuchsia, with a "bartender's cherry," and a hot pink umbrella. When I learned Sherry made it, I was so happy because I remembered her from last year--very skilled and very fun to chat with. A wonderful birthday--I highly recommend the Manor.

For the past five years,…read morewe've usually gone to the Steakhouse at Silver Reef, but after seeing a tomahawk on this menu, I thought we should try a new place for this year's celebration. When we arrived, we were seated in their "Cove," which had been suggested by the woman who took our reservation over the phone as an intimate dining experience. My first impression of the restaurant was that I liked the "steakhouse vibe." However, the Cove where we were seated felt more like bar seating than an actual dining area. The tables were small--better suited for small plates and drinks, not a full dinner. We were greeted right away by our server. She was very friendly, but throughout the service, I didn't quite understand her dry sense of humor. I asked about the wine options, and she suggested a cab. I asked for a tasting, which I didn't think was an uncommon request before ordering a glass. She mentioned (possibly joking) that the first sample was free, but after that, they would have to charge me. I found that comment a bit off-putting and didn't feel encouraged to order a drink after that. Since they only had two cabs and I wasn't familiar with either, I didn't think asking to try one was unreasonable. I ended up trying her recommendation but didn't like it. At that point, I didn't feel comfortable asking for another sample, so I just asked her to check with the bartender and bring me whatever he recommended. I ordered the pork tomahawk, again based on her recommendation, and my husband ordered the aged New York. Shortly after, she returned to tell me the pork tomahawk had just sold out. Our reservation was at 5:30 PM, so it seemed early for a popular item to already be unavailable. By then, I was a bit over it and ordered the flat iron 8 oz marinated steak instead. While we waited for our appetizers, we were served bread rolls with garlic butter. Unfortunately, the rolls were very hard and dry--even the butter didn't help. Neither of us took more than one bite. We both ordered our steaks medium, but my husband's New York was definitely undercooked compared to mine--it was very red in the center rather than pink. After trying my steak, I thought some steak sauce might help, so I asked for A1. Our server told us they charge for their "house A1" sauce. Tip: don't order it if you're expecting traditional A1. It tasted more like barbecue sauce--too sweet and not tangy enough to resemble A1 (in my opinion). I didn't even use it after trying it, so it felt like a waste of $2. The food overall was okay, just not worth the price. My husband even said he's had better steak at Texas Roadhouse for half the price. My steak was around $35, and my husband's was about $56. The sides were good, but we've both definitely had better steaks. My husband mentioned his had a lot of tough, chewy fat that he had to cut around. We ordered two appetizers and two entrées, each with a starch and a vegetable. The steaks were disappointing, to say the least, though the sides were solid. I also couldn't even finish my glass of wine. Overall, it was nice to try something new, but I probably wouldn't go back. If we did, it would likely be to try their happy hour menu--especially the Philly cheesesteak. There's a lot of potential here, but the execution just didn't deliver. Definitely not special enough for a special occasion celebration.
