Dr. Petar is the best dentist I've ever had--he's super friendly, professional and transparent, taking the time to explain your X-rays to you and tell you the "why" for all procedures. Not to mention he offers the quickest, most painless annual dental exam in all of Chicago, and quite possibly the world. Michelle, my dental hygienist, was equally awesome. And when I had to get a mouth guard for teeth grinding (something I KNOW my insurance provider would give me hell about), Dr. Petar's staff called my insurance company and worked out all of the details. I have to say I have never looked forward to going to a dentist as I do now. I had a chipped tooth and was lost as to how to choose a dentist. I tried 1-800-Dentist and to my surprise the dentists they recommended were over priced and seemed very professional but rigid. However, not personable at all. Then it dawned on me that I should check yelp for reviews and narrow down my search based on reviews. I have to say that was a good call! The staff at White dental studio is wonderful! Ryan was helpful, personable, professional and his follow-up was outstanding. The dental assistant was great too. I was able to catch up on some TV on a nice flat screen before and during my dental service. The space is gorgeous and contemporary and I would like my place to look just like the studio. I felt like I was about to get a spa service. Every detail in the studio space and with the staff is like no other dental office I have been to. Dr. Petar makes you feel like a friend, great sense of humor, makes you very comfortable, doesn't over charge and I don't have dental insurance, so that was important to me. They were very flexible in payment options and had great yelp deal that was so good for me. No one ever noticed that my tooth had ever been chipped when they seen my tooth or my smile. He pays attention to every intricate detail and has a great chair side manner. He made me feel very comfortable and I walked out of there not ashamed to smile again. I would recommend this studio to anyone and everyone. I cannot wait to go back and get my teeth cleaned. I never thought I could look forward to going to the dentist. This dental studio doesn't look or smell like a normal one, its beautiful and has a spa feeling. The decoration is worth admiring and I might still one or two ideas! The staff is super professional, from the front desk to Dr. Petar They have everything on an electronic base, all your appointments, x-rays, charts, info, etc is digital. They have a system that the Dr. tracks on his ipad. Music is awesome and makes you feel relaxed... from radio head to some Spanish music.. very cool Dr. Petar. is awesome, he took all the time to explain everything step by step; even the basic stuff that I have been doing wrong. I am a Brit, so you know I have a weird relationship with dentists. I hadn't been in a very long time and was nervous. I can't remember why I chose White but it is close to my work and that could have been a factor--plus reviews seem good. The space was well designed and clean. I put in the appointment wrong in my calendar but they didn't make me feel bad about it. I did not wait for long. Emily was so nice. Took her time and made me feel really comfortable and at ease. She checked out my teeth, walked me through everything and gave me a cleaning. Dr. Petar did an exam and gave me advice about what to do next. Overall, really great service and fantastic experience. I've seen the Doctor twice thus far. He is very thorough and extremely thoughtful about my personal situation, as well as empathetic with question and thoughts I may have. Additionally the hygienist staff was equally outstanding. That said, in both scenarios, the front desk person was below average in both situations - a little standoffish and indifferent - not necessarily unfriendly, but not welcoming either. I hadn't been to the dentist in 4 years. I was fairly terrified. It turns out your imagination is ALWAYS worse than the reality. I got a great cleaning, and they complimented me for flossing every night. I had a few cavities - but what else was I expecting? I waited a couple weeks to do the first round of fillings and was scared out of my mind. It's strange though - once I got into the office, sat down in the chair and saw Dr. Tofovic...a wave of calm washed over me. Perhaps its his confidence or his gentle and caring demeanor - but I've never felt so assured at the dentist. Dr. Tofovic is a craftsman, and you really feel that you can trust him. The procedure went great - and though I've got some more work to do before my oral health is up to par - but I can't imagine seeing another dentist in Chicago. This is really something else. Without a doubt, White Dental Studio is the best dental practice in Chicago!! The location is perfect, with easy street parking, and the office is beautiful. It is clean, modern, and comfortable. There was no wait even though I arrived ten minutes early for my appointment. The staff is exceptional. Emily was my hygienist and she did the most thorough cleaning that I've ever had. She seemed to take the stains on my teeth personally and kept at it until they were nearly spotless. I truly appreciate the time that she put into both the cleaning and the explanations of each and every step along the way. Dr. Petar was equally as fantastic. He was kind, approachable, and candid and he answered all of my questions before I even asked. He was also very thorough and he was understanding and realistic about my teeth alignment and night grinding options. I highly recommend White Dental Studio for everyone, but especially people who may be apprehensive or fearful about dental work. There are three reasons Petar Tofovic is a can't-miss dentist: 1) I look forward to my visits. There is never a guilt trip or annoyance of any kind, so all you end up with is clean teeth without any of the side effects. 2) He loves to explain his craft. He's a relatively young guy and highly enthusiastic about dentistry (it isn't just a profession to him - seems more like a passion). 3) He got me to floss after 24 years of not doing so. I wasn't truly satisfied with the 2 other dental offices that I had gone to in the past year, and so I continued on with my hunt. I happily came across this dental office on Yelp - you guys are always my go to! I made my appointment with Ryan, the receptionist, and he was very helpful with letting me know that I could fill out the forms online, send my records from previous dental offices, bring my insurance card, and sending out the reminders. I came in and he pulled up my forms from online and had me sign them electronically, and was on my way. The studio is beautiful, very chic and stylish. It seems to represent Dr. Petar well. He has this boyishly charming appearance. He is relaxed, knowledgeable, and professional. Elise did my cleaning, and she was fabulous. She answered all my questions, made sure I was comfortable, gave me extra tips and suggestions, and she was very friendly and personable. Dr. Petar also came in and met with me personally, which I appreciate. He reiterated the same things that Elise did - which is good because it drives home the point for me and the repetition helps. He also noticed that I have a clicking in my jaw that I should be aware of and let me know if I experience any pain from it to let him know. This is the first time that a dentist took note of this because 10 years ago I had TMJ and could barely open my mouth, so it appears that this has been some sort of residual side affect that I hadn't even connected together or thought of. I appreciated both Elise and Dr. Petar taking my concerns to heart and taking action by setting up my next appointment at a 3 month interval as opposed to waiting the 6 months to monitor my concerns and address any potential issues. When i first moved to Chicago I was in need of a dentist and took a reco from a girlfriend of mine. I've never had any trouble with my teeth, so I really chose Petar because I heard he was cute, wears sneakers and plays hip hop on his ipod in the exam room (read: fun and possibly single). Turns out, though all this was true, Petar was extremely professional, personable and the most engaged dentist i had ever visited! Seriously my most favorite trip to the dentist ever... even though he found cavities. The place is beautiful, first off - so clean and perfectly decorated (at first I didn't even know it was a dental studio). I had emailed them to make sure they take my insurance, and the receptionist got back to me within the hour - and then I scheduled my appointment through email! Dr. Petar was absolutely fantastic. He took the time to explain things in a way that anyone could understand, and made sure that if I had any questions they were answered. He seemed genuinely interested in me as a person, and we even compared notes on our favorite restaurants in the area. I truly feel like I just made some new friends. He knows his stuff. I have been a patient of Dr Tofovic's for about 5 years and he is by far the best dentist I have ever seen. Even after a thorough job by the hygienists he takes his time doing a check up of his own and gives good explanations for anything he will continue to watch or further procedures he recommends. He is conservative with what he recommends and has never pressured me into any expensive treatments. I have had a couple of fillings since being his patient and can honestly say I barely felt the initial shot(s) or the filling happening.
